Acres of Fun Day Nursery focuses on outdoor play within stunning grounds. Their wonderful facilities, extensive resources and dedicated, highly qualified staff were all praised in their recent ‘Outstanding’ inspection report from Ofsted in September 2017.

Acres of Fun is located conveniently near to J13/M4. The wonderful house and Pre-School are set amidst a couple of acres of fabulous grounds. There are huge lawns, mature woodland, a vegetable garden and leafy glades - perfect for exploring, playing and building dens.

When the time comes for a child to leave Acres of Fun and move onto school staff want them to be confident, happy, with a sense of care and consideration for others. They will also have received an outstanding educational start, ready for the next stage in their young lives.

Acres of Fun is the best nursery that we could have for our daughter. She is so happy with all the outdoor/indoor activities. We receive constant updates during the day with regard to food, sleep and toileting. In January we will have the second child joining the baby room. Very pleased with the staff,
they are absolutely fantastic. Thank you all for your hard work.

Acres of Fun is an absolutely amazing nursery. The setting offers a wide range of activities for the children in their care. Our 3-year-old daughter absolutely enjoys attending and our 6-year-old still misses the staff and the upper pre-school two years on!
The nursery is always a busy hive of activities
and learning opportunities. The staff are kind, friendly and full of energy. The menu offered by the chef is always nutritious and well thought out. I'm often quite jealous! Safety and safeguarding always seem to be high on the agenda and I feel our daughter is safe and very well cared for. The staff know all the children and it has a wonderful homely feeling. The range of activities changes daily, with the outdoor space used to the maximum. The curriculum allows the children to progress and prepare as they move through the nursery. A wonderful nursery.

Having seen the latest review of the Ofsted report for this setting, I can categorically state, that Acres, the baby room and all further education rooms there are completely outstanding.
My daughter attends Acres and started in the baby room in September last year. Their attention, care, guidance
and support for not just the babies but parents too are outstanding! This same ethos has carried through to the toddler room and I can’t be more settled on a placement and albeit group of ‘strangers’ to be taking care of my precious bundle!
Thank you to Acres (the staff) for their work so far. I look forward to seeing my daughter grow under their care as well as my own.

Our daughter is so happy at Lower Preschool! She loves the huge variety of activities and opportunities available to her, from bug hunts in the garden, splashing in water in the hot weather, doing crafts and coloring and having lots of stories. The staff in Lower Preschool are so kind and caring and
our daughter is always happy to see them each morning. They keep us up to date with lots of photos on the app and feedback at the end of each day. The food is also fantastic, and it is great to see the menu in advance on the app.

Acres of Fun Day Nursery is a wonderful nursery. All of the staff care deeply about the children, which is shown in the way that they interact with the children and how excited my child is to see them. Since my child started in babies, he has grown in confidence, his language has developed wonderfully
and he shares his toys at home, as well as indicating his needs. The children do a large range of activities based on various themes from reading books every day to playing outside, messy play, craft activities and we get regular updates. I am incredibly proud that my son gets to attend such a well-rounded and caring childcare setting. I would recommend this nursery to anyone who wants their child to be a considerate, well-rounded individual.

I have had three children pass through Acres of Fun Day Nursery starting in March 2018 and since then my daughter left in 2021 and my son left in 2022, both to join school. I currently have a daughter in lower preschool. Acres of Fun is a fantastic environment for a child to grow and develop. The team
at Acres are kind, caring, inspiring and a dedicated team that I am proud to say prepared my two children for the leap into school. They are confident, happy, social and inquisitive and that is largely down to the time spent at Acres completing educational tasks correct for their age group, exploring and learning in forest school, learning through play and having fun. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Acres of Fun. It is a fantastic place to be able to send your child mainly due to the team but also the fantastic setting.

My son has been with Acres of Fun Day Nursery since starting in the baby room in September 2022. The love he's received from staff has been second to none - they know him well and are thorough and thoughtful with his care.


He eats incredibly well at Acres, healthily and with considerable variety,

which helps us at home!


One of the reasons we chose Acres was the emphasis on outdoor play, and the amount of time he spends outside has surpassed our expectations. The grounds are brilliant and I know he gets a lot of stimulation from being outside in all elements.


We are made to feel welcome as parents and on pick up I'm always given a good overview of what he's been up to.


He is a happy, confident and playful boy. I know the nurture and care from Acres has a huge impact on the person he is becoming, and I couldn't be more confident in their ability to look after him!

From the initial tour of Acres of Fun Day Nursery I knew Acres was going to be a special place for my Son to grow, learn and develop. I have never been disappointed. At the gate, my Son runs off for a morning hug before he has his breakfast and then begins his day of individual and class activities.
He has blossomed as a toddler to a lovely young boy and has had exceptional care and attention from the staff at Acres and his ever growing knowledge often surprises me. He is 3 years old and is doing exceedingly well at Acres.
The weekly menu is extremely inviting. It is interesting and includes lots of fruit and veg and meets recommendations for child nutrition. A real credit to their chef.
The outdoor space is amazing. You have to see it to believe it. They use it to its absolute benefit, teaching about the outside and inside world in an outdoor setting.
I would unreservedly recommend Acres and their staff. There is not enough space here to give full credit!

I have nothing but positive words for this fantastic nursery. My daughter is happy, excited to attend and develops new language and skills daily. Communication is very good with updates online, emails answered quickly and I’ve never been made to feel uncomfortable for calling to check up on my child.
I honestly have nothing negative to say and nothing but praise for the setting, staff and my family's overall experience here.

Our daughter has attended Acres of Fun Day Nursery from 1 year old through to Upper Pre-school. Our eldest also attends the holiday club. I can not recommend it enough. The staff are knowledgeable and very caring. The food is exceptional (school dinners are going to be a shock!) She gets exposure to
all types of play and learning from French, to sports, to singing, to crafts, to ballet, to woodwork, with a big emphasis on being outside, in their fantastic grounds. I regularly have to persuade her to leave at the end of the day. She is incredibly happy there and that is entirely down to the outstanding level of care provided by the staff. If we ever had another child, I wouldn't consider any other setting but Acres.

My two sons attend Acres, the youngest is in the baby room and the older son is in Upper Preschool, having started in the baby room. I can’t rate Acres highly enough. The staff are extremely friendly and experienced, nothing is too much trouble and the care that they give is nothing short of excellent.
They go over and above and it really is great to know you are leaving your children in such a safe, caring, and fun environment. Meals are cooked fresh on-site and the chef runs an excellent kitchen with varied menus. The best thing about Acres (other than the staff) is the fabulous and extensive garden, with many play areas and woodland. The boys often come home having been outside all day and are exhausted and muddy, but have had a great day.

Our son has attended Acres of Fun Day Nursery since he was 9 months old. He loves playing outdoors and always has plenty of opportunity at Acres. The staff are absolutely fantastic and extremely accommodating, especially when he's having a bit of an off day. The meals are incredible and I've always
been jealous of the range available (I wish I could have lunch with them!). I would always recommend Acres to other parents.

We have had a wonderful experience with Acres from the day our son started. They have put in the time and effort to get to know him so well and as a result, the care he receives is unparalleled. The experience and level of qualification of the staff and the beautiful grounds as well as simply how much
the staff love what they do means that there is no setting comparable. I cannot thank the staff enough for the support they’ve given my son from day one. It is a fantastic, professional, caring environment perfect for any child to thrive.

My child attending Acres of Fun Day Nursery is my youngest of four. I just wish I had found Acres before and put all of my children in!!! It really is his second family. He is nearly 4 and we have not had one day where he doesn’t want to go. Sometimes he does cry to come home though!! The facilities
and staff are second to none I have never seen better. Also the staff turn over is extremely low, which in my opinion speaks volumes in itself. They have an on-site chef who cooks them food that is healthy but liked. The outside space is so big and colourful you just have to see it to appreciate it. Especially the fairy house. It may be a little more expensive than other local nurseries/pre schools, and the cost of living is high at the moment, but you really couldn’t pay for better care. (Other than a Norland Nanny but then the child doesn’t get the socialisation which is really important). I am really sad that he will be leaving for school in September….. but Acres offer holiday club too!!!

All three of our children have spent their early years at Acres of Fun Day Nursery right through from baby room and had a wonderfully happy time. The minute we stepped into the nursery I remember knowing this was where our children needed to be if I was going to leave them with others all day every
day whilst I was at work / it really is ‘home from home’. The staff have all always been incredible and always cared so much. The ‘acres’ of outdoor space is really special and the amount of time the kids are therefore able to spend in the fresh air is also extremely important to us. Will be so sad to say goodbye when our youngest ‘graduates’ pre-school next year!

Acres of Fun Day Nursery is an amazing nursery in the best setting. Both of my children have attended Acres over the last 10 years and the quality of the care provided never ceases to delight me. The love, fun and learning that the staff provide is outstanding. I am quite convinced that the great manners
and social skills that both my children have is largely attributed to the exposure and dedication Acres provides!! The grounds is like no others - acres of space and fantastic facilities to ensure that the children are outside in the fresh air as much as possible. This is a major part of the Acres ethos. I genuinely wouldn’t ever consider sending my children anywhere else.
