Acres of Fun Day Nursery focuses on outdoor play within stunning grounds. Their wonderful facilities, extensive resources and dedicated, highly qualified staff were all praised in their recent ‘Outstanding’ inspection report from Ofsted in September 2017.

Acres of Fun is located conveniently near to J13/M4. The wonderful house and Pre-School are set amidst a couple of acres of fabulous grounds. There are huge lawns, mature woodland, a vegetable garden and leafy glades - perfect for exploring, playing and building dens.

When the time comes for a child to leave Acres of Fun and move onto school staff want them to be confident, happy, with a sense of care and consideration for others. They will also have received an outstanding educational start, ready for the next stage in their young lives.

Our daughter loves attending Acres of Fun Day Nursery and the amazing activities that are facilitated outside. The staff are excellent at considering her needs and developing activities to support her including transition when we newly moved to the area, supporting her to get school ready by using her
interests to encourage new skills, and supporting her social and emotional needs when a parent is away. Communication with us is excellent.

Our son has been attending Acres of Fun Day Nursery since he was a baby and since day one he has been loved and cared for brilliantly. The staff are always so kind and supportive of his needs, and the range of activities that they set up every day is exceptional. His physical development is very well
catered for with the huge outside area, and we have seen great progress in his speech, independence and social skills. Our son loves going into nursery every day, has built strong bonds with his key workers and has lots of friends. He comes home happy and exhausted every day - in fact he often doesn't want to leave!

Acres is a fabulous place - the people, the grounds, the opportunities provided to children - are all second to none. Our daughter has benefitted from 2.5 years at Acres and has enjoyed every minute. Knowing that she has been at such a loving and caring community has put my mind at ease every day she's

I have nothing but high praise for Acres!
Our daughter has thrived since starting in May 2018 when she was 11 months old. She is now in upper pre-school and simply adores Acres and all the staff. We will be so sad when she has to leave for primary school!
The nursery, pre-school and grounds are absolutely
fantastic, with brilliant facilities and even better staff. The Acres key workers are second to none - helpful caring, imaginative and just so, so lovely. I drop my little girl off and feel so confident that she is not only going to have a brilliant day but will be safe and cared for at all times.
In her two and half years at Acres, she has come on leaps and bounds in her speech, comprehension, personality and overall confidence. Much of this is thanks to her fantastic keyworkers!
I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Acres of Fun to prospective parents.

My little boy has been with the nursery for 2 1/2 years now. The staff are incredibly caring, consistent and so kind. The space and facilities are incredible, the level of communication is impeccable, my little boy has grown into such a caring, kind, inquisitive adventurer and so much of this is down
to the teaching at Acres.
They take great care in the development of each of the children and really treat them as individuals. I am a very hands-on mum and I was terrified of sending my little boy into any kind of childcare but I have to say that Acres instantly put me at ease and have continued to do so over the years. I will be so sad when my little one moves onto school but I am happy to say he will come back for holiday clubs.
I would highly recommend Acres of fun. It’s such a wonderful place.

We actually moved to Acres when our daughter was 15 months old due to the previous nursery closing down. We have done good research and visited all local nurseries at the time, and I can safely say that it is hard to compare what Acres of Fun offers to any other place. The staff is absolutely wonderful.
We went through all the rooms (baby, explorers, lower and upper pre-school) and every room has been managed by different staff. The team is incredible - always so welcoming and caring. The outdoors space is beyond amazing - offering different types of playgrounds, huge sandpit, woods with a fairy house and fire pit, outdoor art classroom and several patios. It doesn't matter what the weather is - kids are always encouraged to play outside, plant veggies, go on a bear hunt and have adventures in the mini woods. Our daughter was quite shy as a toddler, turned into a confident and curious girl who was very excited to start school. We really miss Acres, it is an incredible place!

Our son attended Acres of Fun from the ages of two until he was four and ready for 'big' school.
We chose Acres based on the amazing outdoor space, the friendly/caring staff, and the great food menu!
He was a bit nervous when he first started, but his confidence really developed during his time at
Acres. He enjoyed playing indoors and out, regularly chatting with the staff, and making lots of new friends. He was always keen to report on what delicious food he'd had for lunch and tea.
Some of the highlight events were sports day, grandparents day around Easter, and the Christmas nativity - which was magical and very funny (intentionally or not)!
The communication before/during/after the Covid lockdown was brilliant, especially considering the constantly changing government advice.
We would not hesitate to highly recommend Acres to all other parents.
We'll look forward to returning for Holiday Club!

My two sons have come to Acres for both preschool and summer club this year. When other settings remained closed, Acres opened their doors, welcoming children to their wonderful safe, secure and nurturing environment.
Throughout, the staff work with love and genuine care, making the children, at any
age, feel welcome, loved and happy, resulting in content, confident and school-ready children.
The preschool setting focuses on school-ready aspects like self-care and sit down, wonderfully prepared healthy meals. The grounds allow the children to explore safely and experience all the benefits outdoors can bring.
Holiday club invites the children to independently explore the grounds with a range of engaging and fun activities and the opportunity to build new friendships and socialise.
We are so grateful to everything Acres has given our sons this year and looking forward to returning for holiday clubs in the future.

Through this review, I wanted to express our sincerest gratitude to all the Acres of Fun team for looking after both of our children for the last 4 years. Acres has given them an enriching, happy and secure environment to grow and learn and they have both loved their time there, eager to go in every
single day! The staff are consistently welcoming, creating a happy and safe place where the children are encouraged and given the confidence to express themselves. The team are always thoughtful, going over and above the call of duty to make drop offs and pick ups easier for the parents. We always look forward to "occasions" at Acres, some of my happiest memories are enjoying Christmas parties, Sports days, Nativity productions and the wonderful and thoughtful crafts made with little fingers sent home. We cannot thank Acres enough for our time with you and for giving our children a great start in life and I can not recommend this wonderful nursery more.

Our son has been attending Acres of Fun for almost two years, and we are extremely happy with his time in the nursery. Alongside the fun he has with the great team of staff, we're really pleased with the focus the nursery has on healthy food, growing their own produce, group activities, and outdoor
time. For most of the year, given any opportunity, all of the children are playing and learning outside in the open and expansive garden. The kids get great experiences there every day.

My daughter has attended Acres of Fun since approximately 2 years old, she's now 3.5 years old. She absolutely loves Acres of Fun and I love sending her there. Her speech and social skills developed so quickly after starting 18 months ago. The staff are caring, kind and a lot of fun for the children.
The activities that the children are involved in are excellent. In preschool over the week, there's football, French, ballet and music aside from all the other fab activities the nursery provides.


The staff welcomed my daughter with open arms and through tough times outside of nursery have supported my daughter through the changes in her life. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough and will certainly be sending my second daughter there. The thought of leaving my children to go back to work is hard but having done it once before when my daughter started I know there's no better place for them to be looked after than Acres of Fun. I can be at work knowing my child will be having the best day at nursery!

Great nursery with excellent facilities. Staff are very attentive. The menu is always varied and well balanced. The nursery also runs lots of extra activities such as grandparents day, sports day, Christmas parties, all of which are lovely opportunities for parents and family members to see their children

My daughter thoroughly enjoys attending Acres of Fun, even asking to go in the school holidays so I have to book extra sessions! She has been attending since she was 11 months old and will be moving to upper preschool in September.
All the staff are amazing, they are patient, caring and approachable.
The kitchen staff cater brilliantly for her food allergies and provide a range of nutritional food. My daughter has developed her social skills as well as academic skills whilst attending Acres of Fun, always bringing her learning home and reenacting events from the day.

My son has been attending Acres since he was 8 months old following in his cousins' footsteps and he has absolutely loved every second and so have I. I could not have asked for a better start for my son and the time that all the staff have invested in him (and me at times!) has been absolutely invaluable.
His engagement with the staff and constant variation in his exciting days at school have been wonderful; with lovely online interaction from staff via Tapestry. He would much rather stay at Acres than come home with me most days! He has made a wonderful group of friends and adores running around outside in the glorious grounds.
I would (and have) recommend this incredible school to anyone who will listen and we will miss it dearly when he leaves in August.
Thank you, Acres of Fun, for helping my son grow into the cheeky and empathetic little chap he is!

My husband and I collect our great granddaughter, aged 32 months, from Acres of Fun three days a week and we are so impressed with the setting and activities the Explorers enjoy. So much outdoor space, creatively used for the children. The atmosphere is friendly and personal which gives us so much confidence
that our precious little girl is stimulated and encouraged. She very much enjoys the meals, which are not just the usual 'meat and two veg' stuff. The menus wouldn't be out of place in an upmarket bistro!
Special events are staged by the dedicated staff, eg Easter, Sports Day, Grandparents Day, Christmas - when all kinds of activities which the children and their families take part in, are skilfully managed along with thoughtful hospitality. The Owner, is always available at the Nursery, giving great leadership supported by an extremely professional team.
