Love this nursery, our child only started a few months ago and she absolutely loves it there, we have seen such a big development in her already. The staff are amazing always so friendly, such a pleasure dropping off and picking up, everyone engages and says hi and bye. They always take the time to
give a detailed handover for the day. Great updates daily, We're so happy with our choice and can not recommend them highly enough.

We had a very pleasant visit on Monday 3rd October and it was good to see all the children were very happy in their environment. The staff were very caring and the children had lots of toys to play with and all enjoyed the food that was served. Our only minor thing is that the provision of a few chairs
for adults when visiting, would be a good idea for the more elderly grandparents!

I can't thank the team at Busy Bees Burchetts Green enough for making our daughter so happy and settled, after initially having a bit of separation anxiety. The manager and the team have gone above and beyond to give us more settling sessions, consistency with key workers and ensuring room availability,
despite being under a lot of staffing pressure post-Covid-19. Having attended their parents' open evening, it was also clear how much they care about the children and their emotional and physical development. The nursery has an app which is updated with meals, nappies and activities done and the staff always take time to communicate how the day has gone on pickup too. A special thank you to the room manager for taking our daughter under her wing and helping her to settle and transition to the next room, she is now two years old. Our daughter is now flourishing and growing in confidence. I can't recommend this nursery highly enough.

Both my boys attend the school, my eldest who started in the baby room at 8 months and is now 3 years going into pre-school and recently my son who has joined the baby room at 7 months. I have always been very happy and impressed with the school, the staff are friendly, kind and my son loves all his
teachers. They also learn so much through the enormous effort that goes into setting up the classroom and doing fun activities. When it came to leaving my youngest, I was confident and happy to be sending him there but you always worry as a mom. In the past two months that he has been there he has been so happy, he now eats food and drinks his bottles (Which he didn't do before) and he is so excited to go over to his teachers in the morning, we haven't had a day of tears from either of the boys. The best thing about the school is the amazing and wonderful teachers who work so hard every day! Thank you.

My daughter has attended Busy Bees at Hall Place since she was 6months old, she is now 3.5 and in their pre-school room, my son (10months) has also now started in the baby room. The staff at the nursery are caring, diligent and I have absolute trust in them looking after my children, both of my children
love it there and I would highly recommend the setting to other parents.

I had been nervous about nursery for our ten month old son. He hadn't seen other children for a long time because of lockdown, he is our first child and I was concerned how he would feel about being away from me for a full day when previously it had only been an hour or so at a time. Busy Bees at Hall
Place, Maidenhead have been fantastic. They have respected and supported our parenting ideals. Our son has settled so well into nursery, he smiles and holds out his arms to the staff on arrival and I am greeted with a toothy grin on collection. He really enjoys the structure of the day, interaction with other children and staff, food and stimulation. He had struggled with his sleep but the staff have worked very hard to listen to our concerns and work with us and our son. Now he sleeps really well, both at nursery and at home. A big thank you to all the staff. We have a happy boy and happy parents!

Our daughter has been going to Busy Bees Hall Place for almost 2 years now and she absolutely loves it. She is always very excited to go in the morning and is always happy when we pick her up. The staff are amazing and so friendly, they really get to know the little ones and it is obvious that my daughter
really connects with members of staff in her room. They know all the little details and what makes her happy, it really does feel like a family. Going to Busy Bees has really helped our daughter in her development, it's been a joy watching her develop new skills every day. The food menu is very good, with lots of varied dishes and healthy ingredients.

Sending my little girl to nursery was such an emotional time. My main concerns were her happiness and safety so to find a place she’s so enthusiastic and happy to go to each day has been a blessing. All the staff make a big effort to get to know the children and make their days lots of fun. Each classroom
has its own outdoor space and I’m always very envious of the lovely food she she gets to try there.

My twin boys started nursery late at 3yrs old, so I was concerned they would struggle to settle in. Busy Bees have been amazing and they settled in straight away. The staff have been so helpful in advice on how to get them ready for school and so supportive when we needed to send one in without the
other. The boys tell me daily about all the fun they have had and come out with beaming smiles. I can't thank all the staff enough for all your help - the boys have loved being with you and you have continuously given us great childcare which is priceless for full time working parents.

I will keep this short and sweet. For me, the true test of a nursery looking after my child is if my child is happy going there. My son wakes up and asks me if he is going to school. When I say yes he cheers. He runs in and loves it. The staff are all fabulous and happy and communicate with every aspect.
Recently my son has been potty training and they have been very patient with him and he is doing so, so well now. The manager is wonderful, swiftly responds to e-mails and actions any concerns. Great nursery and a great team.

My son has been attending the nursery since he was 9 months old (he is now 2.5 years) and he absolutely loves it. He settled into each room really well and this was down to the kind and caring staff. They are so good at what they do and they encourage him to thrive and become the happy funny little
boy he is. We are always greeted with a friendly smile and the manager is lovely and really helpful when it comes to any queries I have. The environment is great and I would recommend it to anyone.

I've been so delighted to have found this nursery. Having moved to the area from our much loved London nursery which set a high bar, I have not been disappointed. My daughter has settled so quickly and loves all the space and caring staff which she has really bonded with. It has been a strange time
to start, with ppe at the door but they've tried to reassure parents and kids alike that the same welcoming atmosphere awaits the children inside. I look forward to being able to drop off in the room Covid permitting and seeing a bit more of what activities they get up to each day.

Our son is settling back into nursery so quickly, and we are so impressed with how much understanding and patience the team has to get him back into a routine and feel safe and cared for during his sessions at nursery. We are especially grateful to the team, for all the support, such a lovely feeling
to know our son is looked after so well in the care of others, he seems so happy and growing in confidence after each morning he spends at Busy Bees.
I am keen to book an extra morning session for my son going forward.

My son has been at Busy Bees from 12-months through to starting school and we have been extremely pleased with the nursery. Always a smiley face to greet us, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, a clean and importantly safe environment and always a feeling of well being towards my son. The location
really is just fantastic - with the luxury of lots of outdoor open space for playtime which I think is so important. Efficiently managed by the nursery manager who has always been on hand to address any concerns or queries. Would highly recommend this nursery.

Both of my sons have attended Busy Bees at Hall Place over the last 5 years and I would highly recommend the nursery. The nursery is not local to us, but in my opinion it is the best in the area and it was absolutely worth the commute. The management and staff are exceptional and very approachable and
I had full confidence in their abilities to take the best care of my children whilst I was at work. The nursery is always full of smiley, happy faces and that was hugely important to us. The facilities are excellent and my children really enjoyed all the outdoor play and developed and thrived in the environment. The entire experience from the baby room through to preschool was impeccable and we have some wonderful memories of their time at nursery. Thank you to the manager and her team.

We have loved this nursery and are really really sad to leave (we are moving house). The manager and her team are exceptional, the care they have given to our daughter is superb: personalised, tenacious and relentless. We could not have asked for a better nursery.

This is a lovely, caring nursery. The staff are very kind and warm towards the children, giving lots of cuddles and support to the little ones. My daughter recently became ill with a fever at nursery and when I came to pick her up some one was sat with her, cuddling and comforting her, which was lovely.
My daughter loves nursery, she has come on leaps and bounds here and has so much fun, she doesn’t want to leave at the end of the day!

My daughter loves her time at Busy Bees, so much so that encouraging her to come home is often a challenge. My daughter is in pre-school and her day is full of learning and fun with her friends. The staff are always full of engagement both with the children and with parents. My daughter has built great
confidence with the staff and they pay attention to her individual needs supporting her learning and her ability to develop. There's so much to do day to day and the outside free play space means that her physical needs are also met. Every member of staff is willing to help and support the children. I couldn't recommend the nursery more and am looking forward to our final year before Daisy is off to school :-)

Busy Bees at Hall Place has made both me and my daughter feel so welcome, I always get warmly welcomed from the reception to the classroom I drop her off in. They all as a team have the children’s interest right at the top with drop offs and pick ups being so informative but relaxed. I love the outdoor
space and the size of the gardens. I would highly recommend friends and family to this nursery as fees are so reasonable considering the amount of activities learning and fun they have all while in the safest environments, also the food Busy Bees at Hall Place provides is so yummy, nutritious and such a diverse menu. Thank you to all the staff who is helping my daughter thrive and be the best she can be.

Current Review Score: 8.0 (8.035)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.0 (8.035) out of 10 for Busy Bees Burchetts Green is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.2 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.792 for Busy Bees Burchetts Green is calculated as follows: ( (19 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 24 Ratings = 4.792

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.243 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Burchetts Green is based on 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 = 3.125

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 85 number of registered child places is 17. 2 Positive Reviews ÷ 17 = 0.118

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Rochelle Anderson

Job Title: Centre Director

Greetings

My name is Rochelle.  I am a mum of two grown-up children, a son aged 34 and a daughter aged 30.  I have been in the early years sector spanning three decades and my interest in childcare began when I had my children. I studied to become a Montessori teacher which led to my setting up my two Montessori Schools, based in Buckinghamshire and Surrey.   Whilst running the schools, I continued studying towards my degree in Early Childhood Education.  I had the study bug and so continued on to qualify as an Early Years Teacher.  I decided to sell my schools after 21 years as I decided to embark on a Post Graduate Diploma in Leadership and Management in Education with the University of Reading.

I have worked in several Independent and Corporate daycare settings and have acquired a wealth of knowledge and experience.  Additionally, I have been an early years consultant supporting nurseries through their compliancy and mock Ofsted inspections.  I am currently on a shadowing inspectors programme with Ofsted.
