Busy Bees Maidenhead Cookham Road (previously Positive Steps Nursery) is situated within the church grounds with indoor and outdoor areas, along with its own private parking.

The nursery is well equipped with a variety of quality equipment suitable for the needs of each age group. Within this safe environment, the children can properly explore and question their surroundings.

Staff encourage enthusiasm, good manners, independence and consideration to others. Each child receives the individual attention he or she needs to develop new skills and interests, discovering that learning is an exciting and fun experience.

The nursery has created a caring and secure environment where children enjoy the friendship of others, have a happy and rewarding time reaching their full potential through praise, encouragement, and fun.

My daughter started Busy Bees Cookham Road when she was six months old. Initially, it was a struggle as she was so young and she had separation anxiety but all the educators at the nursery took extreme care of her and made sure she settled in comfortably. Busy Bees also supported during COVID as my
wife is an essential worker. My daughter has already learned great things which I'm doubtful she would have achieved at home. The atmosphere is so warm and bright that my daughter loves attending the setting - double joy as she has all her friends and a variety of activities/games that keep her occupied. She comes home every day with something new up her sleeve which leaves us amazed. Her milestones are properly tracked and every child gets the proper care and guidance. I'm glad that I chose Busy Bees.

We've been so impressed by the care both of our children (aged 3.5 and 18 months) have received at Busy Bees. The team are so caring and give us detailed feedback about how our children have been getting on each day. They are both so happy to arrive each morning and tell us all about the different activities
they've been doing when we collect them. We have been very impressed, and would absolutely recommend Busy Bees at Cookham Road to other parents.

My daughter joined Busy Bees during lockdown as I was a keyworker and had no child care. I cannot thank the team enough for ensuring she has been made to feel so very welcome at the nursery. She has changed and developed so much since joining the nursery and has a larger group of friends than me.
All the team are fantastic and she looks forward to nursery every day, seeing her friends and the staff and is always so happy and exhausted (which is great) when I pick her up. She has had to opportunity to really learn new skills and I know her time at Busy Bees will stand her in good stead for when she starts school and later in her life. I have noticed such a positive change in her since she started.
Thank you all for your fantastic support not only to her but to me too.

We have been very impressed with Busy Bees since our son started in June 2020. From the outset the staff have been so loving and supportive, going above and beyond to help our son settle well and creating a nurturing happy environment for him. We would highly recommend this nursery.

My 20-month daughter joined Busy Bees during the pandemic. Obviously, a very stressful time for everyone but the team at Busy Bees were absolutely incredible! Within 2 days our shy little girl was running in and hugging the team and had made new friends! They’ve continued to support us and her development
and every week we can see the change in her at such a critical development age - Thank you Team Busy Bees.

I am so happy with how my nine-month-old settled so quickly in the baby room. Her keyworker and the rest of the staff have been so kind and patient and nothing is ever a problem. It is so good to know that while I am at work, my child is being well looked after and is learning new skills at the same

Our son has been with Busy Bees since March last year in the baby room, and we could not be happier with his progress and how well the carers look after him.
He has one particular favourite, and we thank his key worker for the love and support she gives him. To be honest, along with his key worker,
the other carers in all rooms make me and my son's father feel so comfortable when we drop him and collect him.
Its the hardest decision to make leaving your precious one with strangers, but at Busy Bees, the carers and management make you realise your little one is in good hands and his smile at the end of the day says it all.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and we look forward to another year with you, now our son has transitioned into the toddler room.

We are grateful for the care our daughter received from Busy Bees baby room. Our daughter had a smooth transaction from full-time home to full-time nursery since she joined. We can see she is happy and settled at the nursery now. The baby room staff has provided a warm and safe environment, in particular,
the care and attention our daughter was given during settle-in period and afterwards. The staff have built good connection with our daughter. The room manager is responsible and reliable, always there on top of baby updates.

My daughter started at the nursery just after the Easter holidays this year and it has been a tremendous experience! She's learnt so much and is thriving well. She was in the baby class and the care and attention she received was out of this world! All the concerns my husband and I had over her starting
nursery quickly melted. I'm in awe of the staff there, they show a real interest and genuine love for all the children. My little girl is always happy to go in and hesitates when I come to pick her up, she'd rather keep on dancing and playing than go home! She's now transitioned to the toddlers class and has settled in without any concerns whatsoever. Fantastic management team, great attention to details and their team effort simply shines through! Well done Cookham Road Nursery!

Both our sons have been in the nursery for the past 7 months (baby and toddler rooms) and my husband and I are very pleased so far. They seem very well taken care of and happy to go there every morning. The management and staff are very supportive, we get precise details about our kids' day each evening
and have even been provided with advice on activities to do with them in order to develop the skills or topics they have shown interest in. We would definitely recommend this nursery to all.

My daughter has been at Busy Bees Cookham Road since she was 1 year old. I have watched her grow, learn new skills and become socially confident thanks to all the staff at Busy Bees.


She always comes home happy and is full of stories to share with me about her day.


The staff are kind and welcoming

and it’s nice to see the care and attention they give to the children.


It’s nice that under new management, we are able to attend regular open evenings and receive frequent emails about forthcoming events at the nursery. This has helped us plan in advance for any activities organised by the nursery.


I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff and management at Busy Bees Cookham Road for their hard efforts, it’s greatly appreciated.

Amazing nursery Busy Bees in Maidenhead!
My daughter has been attending this nursery since she was 6 months. She has learnt a lot of new things putting words to sentences and interacting more with other children and staff.
She has learnt to count, sing songs and tell me when she sees a red car. My

My daughter attends Busy Bees at Cookham Road and she adores it - and so do I!
I’ve seen her really grow as a child and her development is supported every step of the way by every single staff member. Great investment has been made in the baby room with new toys and learning aides so the babies can
explore their full potential.
Every time I drop her off, she happily toddles off into class hardly looking back and just looking forward to her day ahead.
Communication has hugely improved and even the overall ‘feel’ and atmosphere of the nursery has become much brighter in the last 6 months.
Busy Bees at Cookham Road really is a big family and one we are proud to be a part of.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the nursery.

My son and I love Cookham Road nursery. He has been attending for 1 month now and has settled so well. He looks forward to nursery days and tells me all about his fun, happy and positive experiences when I collect him. I could not ask for more from the caring and kind nature of all the staff team members
who all work so hard in making each day a great one for each child. We are so happy to be part of the Cookham Road 'family' and will be sad to leave when the school years arrive. My son loves attending the nursery/pre-school and has built up such a lovely rapport with both staff and his peers.
The nursery/ pre-school have enhanced his skills and knowledge and encourage him to be independent with the variety of activities they offer.
Staff are always very friendly and welcoming
when we arrive in the morning and give a detailed account of his day when we collect him.
One of the reasons we choose this nursery is it's very secure and the staff are very friendly and the on-site cook preparing fresh and healthy food was a bonus.
