Woosehill Day Nursery is located in the grounds of Chestnut Park at the top of Ruskin Way and benefits from the woodlands to the rear of the nursery. There is ample parking directly outside the nursery.

The nursery has been popular with families for over twenty years and has forged an excellent reputation locally. The nursery has recently extended its opening hours with a 7.30am start.

Children of all ages have daily access to shaded woodland garden areas and the older children explore the woods behind the nursery in the outdoor learning sessions.

My son and daughter have now been to this nursery and the best thing about it is the staff. I can not find any fault with them at all. Considering the huge amount we pay, I find it amazing no toys/ equipment replaced. The staff create brilliant activities with what they have and the children love it
BUT I think more should be given to this nursery to improve it.

My daughter really enjoys going to daycare. She looks happy all the time and that's what we wanted. I really recommend this daycare to my friends and family. The staffs really take care of my daughter and I can peacefully focus on my work when she is at daycare. Thanks to all!

Both my children have attended Woosehill Day Nursery and have been very happy. My youngest is in The Nest (baby room). The staff there are extremely kind, caring, and positive. They all seem happy at work. The children have a wide range of foods and activities including plenty of outdoor play in the
special baby garden. There is also air con which is brilliant for naps when it is hot. My child is very happy and well looked after.

Woosehill Day Nursery is a wonderful nursery. My son started aged 1 during the pandemic and I was amazed at how well he settled. Full credit goes to the amazing staff who truly provide a loving, caring and fun environment for all the children. The nursery really has a homely feel and I love that the
children spend a lot of time playing outside, be it on their woodland walks, or in the nursery's garden which has amazing shade throughout the day in summer.
My boy loves going to nursery and I'm so grateful to the staff to have helped him become a confident, sociable boy who is now ready to start school in September.
I highly recommend this nursery!

Our son has been attending Woosehill Day Nursery since he was 10 months old upon my return to work. He has settled in so well and really enjoys his time there. The team are welcoming and nurturing, and they communicate really well with parents. We particularly love the 'no bad weather, just bad clothes'
approach to letting the children play outside - this means he gets plenty of fresh air and can roam happily. The more structured activities set up by staff are also brilliant for his development, and it's lovely to have updates on what he's been doing via the app. We would not hesitate to recommend this nursery to anyone looking for a 'home from home' environment for their child - while the building itself isn't state of the art or ultra-modern, the wonderful staff and atmosphere they create cannot be faulted.

My daughter started Woosehill Day Nursery at twelve months old and we have been very happy at how well she has settled in. She enjoys the activities such as playing outside, woodland walks, singing and reading. We can see the improvements she has been making with her learning and speech. She is encouraged
to develop and explore through playing.
We receive regular photos and observations sent to us via the app. They are good at dealing with allergies and my little girl thinks the food is great too. The nursery also organises fun family events throughout the year which is a great opportunity for us to meet with the key workers and other families. The staff are all friendly and doing a great job.
Overall we think this is a great nursery, providing a safe and welcoming environment for little ones.

The staff at Woosehill Day Nursery are amazing. Since the beginning of our journey, the staff put my mind at ease leaving my then 9 month old in their care to go back to work. My son loves going to nursery, has come on leaps and bounds in his development, and is genuinely loving attending nursery. I
would recommend to anyone looking for a safe and encouraging environment to send their children.

Both of my sons attended Woosehill Nursery from 4 months old and have been very happy here. All staff are very supportive and build strong relationships with the children. They update me throughout the year on the boys progress and send regular pictures of the creative and educational activities they
get up to. My partner and I are very happy with our families experience, would highly recommend.

I have two sons who have been at Woosehill Day Nursery since January 2022. One in the Nest and one in the Meadows.
They have both grown in so many ways since they started; it's wonderful to see how confident and happy they both are there. Each day they are excited to get to the nursery to play and
interact with the other children and staff.
The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and their key workers have helped to set goals for both of them to challenge them and help them improve various skills.
They get a lot of time outside to play and sometimes explore the surrounding area on walks and activities.

Woosehill Day Nursery provides a family-style environment where each member of staff knows the children well. They try hard to create a variety of activities and respond accordingly to the children's preferences. Our child has an incredibly experienced and reliable key worker who knows the balance between
play and challenging children to progress in their developmental areas. I have every faith in the staff - thank you! Special thanks go to our little one's key worker - you are amazing!

My daughter joined Woosehill Day Nursery in The Nest in May 2022 at 10 months old. She has settled so well and is always so excited to go inside. Her key worker has clearly built a strong relationship with her, but she also loves all the other staff too. She loves playing outside and has the opportunity
to play with sand and water regularly. It's lovely to see how happy she is and to see regular updates with photos as she learns new skills.

I am so happy that this is the nursery we chose for our daughter. My daughter started in the Nest room two months ago and she is thriving. She adores the staff and has formed excellent relationships with the team in the Nest. We are very well informed on how her day is going and on her developmental
journey. I feel reassured every day that my daughter is getting the best care and seeing the smile on her face every morning when we pull up reconfirms that.
There is a wide range of activities for the children to take part in daily and with the app we are updated on everything from naps to what she has eaten and daily photographs on what new observations the team have made.
I would 100% recommend this as a nursery for anyone looking to place their children in a safe and welcoming environment. Thank you to the whole team for all that you do.

This is an excellent nursery with wonderful staff - my child started at nursery in The Nest room for younger children in March 2021 being just over 9 months old. Both the management team and the staff have been involved from day one in keeping us informed, making sure we are happy with our child's progress
and sending us daily updates through the app. Our child is very well looked after, loved by the team and encouraged to grow and has formed such strong bonds with all the staff even though it has only been a few months. They have supported us as parents too with anything we needed in that time and always keep us updated with a weekly newsletter on what is happening the following week in each room of the nursery. It really is a home away from home for our child and we couldn't ask for more.

My daughter started in the baby room at one year old and has been at the Woosehill Day nursery until she finished the pre-school room at age four. She has thoroughly enjoyed her time at the nursery and she built very strong relationships with the staff and her peers. The nursery has a lovely, warm and
inviting culture and provides a truly wonderful environment, where children have great contact with nature, lots of outdoor activities including forest school, cooking school, and lots of different creative activities that are appropriate to their age. The manager and her staff are committed, so nurturing and supportive and they provide children with so much care, attention and positivity. As a parent, I always felt supported and well informed about my daughter's day in the nursery. I wholeheartedly recommend The Woosehill Day nursery, as a place where my daughter felt happy and safe. My daughter has been attending Woosehill since she was 18 months. She loves every minute of it. She’s moved through all 3 rooms and care in each has always been of a really high standard. The activities they do are really well planned out and the recent school preparation she’s started is really thoroughly
planned. The building is quite small but well laid out with a big garden area and mud kitchen. My daughter loves the weekly forest walks. She’s never sad to go to nursery - sometimes she wants to go on the weekends. The management is consistent and has been the same since she started. This was really important to me as a parent.

We have had both our sons go to this nursery, which has only improved since the current nursery manager has taken over. The variety of activities that are available to the children, help them to develop. I am especially pleased that they embrace the local surroundings and do weekly forest school sessions
with the children. They take an active interest in your child's development and will work with you.

We chose Woosehill for the care of our five and a half month old based on the authenticity and enthusiasm of the nursery manager. She evidently cares wholeheartedly for the setting, staff and children (who clearly adore her) and makes commendable efforts to ensure every child is nurtured. We felt that
she was someone we could trust and our baby has settled fantastically with his key and room workers. They do so much to involve a younger baby, but also give space when needed. The setting is in a lovely quiet area and has a homely peacefulness to it that also appealed to us. We're content and happy that our baby is sensitively cared for by friendly personable staff.

We are very pleased we moved our son to this nursery. All the staff seems to know my son at the nursery and he loves attending. He has plenty of opportunities to play indoor and outside too. They also have animals at the nursery which he loves. The online report we receive throughout the day about our
son is informative and reassuring. We love that he gets to go to the park and on his woodland walks. The staff are all friendly, approachable and respond to queries in a timely, knowledgeable and professional manner. They are vigilant about answering the front door to anyone they don’t know and check with colleagues to identify parents or carers, which we feel are excellent standards to uphold. We are really happy with the nursery and all their hard-working staff - thank you for all you do.

My little boy started here at 14-months-old, and we are amazed to see how soon and how well he settled in there. He goes in and comes out so happy. Staff are wonderful; they actually care for him and do things with him. They are open to feedback and responds promptly. I love the way they brief me about
him at the end of each morning. They even helped me on a bit which was not directly related to nursery life. I cannot recommend this place enough! Thank you all there.

We are new to Woosehill Day Nursery, but immediately felt welcomed. The ethos of the nursery is wonderful. The children spend so much time outdoors. The staff seem caring, kind and supportive. The communication from the management team is clear and often. So far we all love it!
