Dair House School Nursery is for children aged three to five. There is a lively and stimulating environment which encourages personal development and learning. The highly qualified team of staff are approachable and friendly and help young children to achieve their aims and objectives.

Nursery children are guided by the EYFS curriculum which encourages adult initiated tasks interspersed with creative play. Reading, number work, writing, and creative play are also taught.

At reception age, the EYFS curriculum is continued and also children are taught French and have specific Games and PE lessons from subject specialists. All children are also taught music twice a week by the head of music.

There is a freshly prepared healthy and delicious menu prepared daily by the nursery chefs. Special dietary requirements are catered for.

Dair House School Nursery is an excellent nursery providing the highest standards of care for the children. The facilities provided for the children both inside the classroom and in the playground are excellent. They do a wide variety of activities each week and have a lot of fun. I was also very pleasantly
surprised that my child was interested in phonics and numbers at the age of three and I credit this to the nursery teachers making their learning fun. The children are encouraged to develop their independence and learn to complete tasks such as putting on their shoes and coat with lots of praise and support, bringing out their confidence.
The teachers genuinely care about your child's emotional needs. I have never had to worry that my child might be too hot, cold or unable to speak to his teachers about anything that is on his mind, all his needs are met to the highest standard. The children are given the opportunity to thrive at nursery. I cannot recommend Dair House School Nursery highly enough!

My daughter has had an amazing experience at Dair House School Nursery. She has learnt so much and become very confident in herself. She shares all about her learning experiences at the nursery. The staff are wonderful, they are a real asset to Dair House School Nursery. The nursery children are also
made to feel part of the wider school community which has been very special from a parent perspective.

We’ve had a great experience with the nursery at Dair House School Nursery. Despite starting during Covid-19 restrictions, our son settled in well. Communication is good, despite current limitations, with a programme of their activities for the week shared ahead and observations recorded in an online
app. Food is provided by the school kitchen and there’s a good variety of meals. We’ve recently moved from half-days to full days and that has worked well too. I have great confidence that the nursery are providing a great foundation for our son starting school in September.

My son loves Dair House School Nursery. He settled straight away with the help of the friendly staff who go above and beyond. He has grown in confidence and progressed so much. The facilities and resources they have are excellent and there is a fantastic outside space the children have access to. I
cannot fault the nursery, school and my son is looking forward to continuing his time there.

A fantastic nursery with an extensive outdoor play area, complete with mud kitchen, wheels galore and climbing frames.


The nursery teachers are fun, enthusiastic, approachable and have my child's best interests at all times.


The weekly planning sheets and the online Tapestry means I know what

my child has done and is doing, allowing me to engage and reinforce her learning.


Nursery children get an opportunity to play a part in the school nativity play. I am looking forward to seeing this.
