Rated Good by Ofsted (May 2018), Poppies Holmer Green has been offering high quality childcare for local families since opening in 2015. The setting caters for children aged from 3 months to 5 years old and strives to offer a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Inside the nursery, you’ll find a spacious setting jam packed with resources to encourage children’s development whilst keeping them engaged and curious. Outside, there is a great garden space offering children plenty of opportunity to engage with the natural world. From the mud kitchen to the nature area, there is something for every child to explore.

Working closely with parents and families, the team work hard to support children’s learning and development from the time they join the nursery to when they are ready to move on to school. As well as promoting learning and development, they also strive to equip children with confidence and independence that will see them through the rest of their lives.

Staff are friendly, although a very high turnover of staff which has been slightly unsettling. Slight lack of communication and presence from management but overall, good care of my child and he is making good progress and is happy. Love the new garden.

Our daughter started at Poppies in September 2016 having moved as newcomers to the area. She was welcomed with open arms and soon formed friends with both the children and staff. She has an absolute blast and her key skills are developing beautifully.
We have seen her confidence grow as well as her
appetite (she loves the food and the variety is super and wholesome with occasional treats)
We are really pleased with the variety of activities from cultural and art to physical, that she is exposed to. The staff are all very professional and friendly and were a huge support when I experienced some serious health issues.
The team there is dedicated both to the children and the parents and from Day 1, I had the utmost confidence that my child would be safe, nurtured and educated.

Both our children love Poppies Holmer Green. The team take the time to learn about each individual child's wants and needs and provide a nurturing environment in which the children can learn and thrive.

My daughter was very clingy when she started nursery in November 2015, but the staff were absolutely excellent at settling her in and getting to know her. I am so grateful to them as she now loves the staff and the activities and gets very excited when we walk into the nursery in the morning.


The

staff and management are excellent and they have big plans for the transforming the nursery building as well as all the structured activities they have already introduced. Opening at 7.30am is also a real benefit.


Would recommend this nursery to anyone looking around for quality care for their child.

Very happy with the nursery. The staff are all friendly, and lovely. When my little girl first started it was a hard time as she was very emotional. The staff helped us deal with this and in less than a month she was transformed, and now, after 5 months, she loves it, and really enjoys it.
I feel
totally happy that my child is being 'educated' as well as having fun and cared for. She gets one to one attention and her needs are very important to the staff there. I like the fact that they feedback on her behaviour, eating, and any other relevant information to the parents.
Excellent management at Poppies and I feel my little girl is in safe hands.
Overall, very happy with Poppies and would recommend to anyone.
