Brooksward Day Nursery has been rated ‘good’ by Ofsted in March 2019 for the quality and standard of childcare provided to children, giving the very best start in life.

Next to Linford Wood, the Kids Play Brooksward Day Nursery & Pre-School is a self-contained building within the grounds of Brooksward School. Open from 7:30am to 6:30pm, however, the childcare team can offer shorter sessions to match school hours.

Embracing nature-based play, both the Day Nursery & Pre-School have enclosed private gardens. Children can play in the mud kitchen, grow vegetables and enjoy the reading hut.

Taking Nature Based Play to the next level, the Nursery also develops young minds using the ‘curiosity’ approach. Children and babies are encouraged to play with everyday items, like telephones, clocks and treasure baskets. Research has found the curiosity approach provide more stimulus than toys alone.

Forest School Activities have also returned for Pre-Schoolers. Led by a Forest School leader onsite at Brooksward, children will get involved in den building, using tools, building fires and risky play.

My experience of Brooksward has been excellent. My daughter struggles with change. Her keyworker and the entire team supported us both, personally, professionally and with all the creativity and care I could ask for.
The free flow system used throughout the facility creates a relaxed, creative fun
environment for the children to nuture their skills and individuality. The professionals are constantly finding new innovative ways to engage the children.
All professional at Brooksward I have found to be open and honest and approachable. Whenever I have had a concern I've been listened to and a plan of action has been made. Their attention to detail is incredible.
They know my daughter, what's important to her, her goals, achievements and her struggles. Together we are achieving the best for her, she oozes confidence. I wouldn't send her anywhere else.

The staff at Brooksward day nursery are amazing. My son has come on leaps and bounds with his vocabulary and his confidence.
I would recommend this nursery to anyone and everyone. Outstanding.

Wonderful experience. Everyone is so caring and attentive. My son always feels happy to go to nursery and he always has lots of interesting activities to get stuck into. I never have to worry about his safety which as a parent is particularly reassuring.

My daughter absolutely loves coming to nursery and is always in a happy mood at the end of the day!
The staff at Brooksward pay so much attention to her and love her! She gets a wide range of foods and activities each day. Couldn't ask for a better nursery.

Overall, excellent. Staff are very friendly and caring.
Children love the nursery and all the staff. Staff are very friendly and love their children and above all, they are very professional. I would definitely recommend this nursery.

My daughter has attended this nursery since the age of 11 months. she thoroughly enjoys going to nursery and has built a special relationship with the staff.
