My daughter started nursery about 3 months ago. Since then, she has soon come out of her shell and looks forward to going to nursery, obviously due to the friendly and kind nature of the members of staff that look after her. I personally always get a warm welcome coming into the nursery and find all
members of staff are very nice and friendly. Also since being at nursery, she has been brilliant with her toilet training which is fantastic.

This nursery has been the best thing that ever happened to my little one. She has gone from being shy and quiet to interacting with other babies and never crying when I drop her off in the mornings. When we pull up in the car every morning she chuckles with excitement, knowing she is going to see all
her little friends and have fun with all the staff.
We are sad to go as she has settled so beautifully, thanks to all the friendly, helpful staff.
It’s only due to relocation that we are sadly leaving. I wouldn’t have my daughter anywhere else. It’s been a wonderful experience going back to work after maternity leave knowing my baby is happy and safe. A big thank you to all the wonderful staff at The Palace Day Nursery. We will miss all your friendly faces.

My daughter has been going to this nursery since she was 16 months old and she is now 4. She 's grown up so quickly and this nursery has done so well in helping her with her speech. The staff are the best ever. They are so good with all of the kids. She's learnt so much being here and her counting numbers,
and learning to write has been so amazing. I will miss this place! Thank you!

Class teacher has been very supportive of my son's extra needs and support. My son is happy to be there, he really likes the garden. He likes the teachers. He goes there with a smile on his face. They make him get more and more confident.

Have watched my son grow so much in terms of his independence attending the nursery. I am so surprised with his progress and development at his age and I am impressed. She absolutely loves all the staff and has made friendships. I love the fact that the nursery embraces technology, the internet and
social media. I am a part of my son's learning virtually. This keeps me involved. The staff and management have a great attitude.

My child attended this nursery after moving to the area from London. It was a very smooth transition. My child was very happy and settled in very quickly. The staff are amazing. Now that he has started school I tend to use the holiday club facilities. He is happy to go back and have fun and see everybody.
It is a small nursery with a family feel, home from home so I am happy and relaxed knowing that my child is loved and cared for with no worries.

I am very pleased with The Palace Day Nursery and the staff. My daughter is very happy to come here and she learns well. She demonstrates this at home with singing and dancing songs that we have not taught her. The facilities are excellent and we really feel that we have made the best choice after reviewing
others. My daughter's key workers and the other staff are exceptional with the children and the parents. The feedback and breakdown of the day information is a very good thing.

My son loves coming to nursery and gets upset at the weekend when he can't come home. My son's keyworker is excellent with him. He has really developed well and made some lovely friendships. The nursery is under new management and has improved vastly. You can really tell that the children's well-being
and happiness is their main priority.

Hi, I’m Lisa Blake and I am the Nursery Manager. I have over 30 years’ experience working within childcare. I enjoy working with all the different age groups and particularly enjoy getting hands on with messy play and exploring the different textures and materials on offer for the children. I strongly believe that learning is developed, nurtured and expanded through mirroring and encouraging positive inclusive play, allowing the children to think for themselves and learn through challenges and achievements. I hold a Level 3 in Childcare and Education and a BTEC diploma in Health Studies and Social Care, Pediatric First Aid, DSL (Safeguarding Lead), Safer Recruitment and Food Hygiene certificates.

Hi, I’m Samantha Potter and I am the Deputy Manager and Sapphires Room Leader. I’ve worked in childcare for over 5 years, looking after children aged from a few days old right through to 12 years. I currently hold a Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner (Early Years Educator) and I am looking forward to studying for my Level 5 this year. I also hold group fitness, personal training, nutrition and weight management qualifications. Hi, I’m Christine Wallace (Chrissie) and I am the Third-In-Charge and Designated Safeguarding Lead of the Palace Day Nursery. I lead the Little Gems room. I have worked in childcare since 2003 after completing a BA(Hons) in Sociology. I have completed studies in Level 3 and Level 4 Childcare. In 2020 I qualified in the Early Years Teacher Status. I love working with all age groups and joining in their fun and games. I love messy play and instilling a creative side with our children. I also love reading, singing and dancing with the children to lots of different types of music. I believe it is important for young children to be able to express themselves in a variety of ways.
