Footprints Day Nursery and Out of School Provision care about every step a child makes. The team pride themselves on the individual care and support that they give to all children and families, recognising the Early years as the most important in a child’s life.

Footprints Day Nursery has been loving and caring for children for over 35 years. The excellent location in central Chelmsford serves both parents who work in the city centre as well as those who commute to London, as the nursery is 10 mins from the railway station.

The strong partnership with parents and carers makes it easy for the team to provide the best care and education for children. The large spacious rooms provide children with a variety of stimulating play and learning opportunities focused around the children’s interests. Children leave Footprints as confident happy learners who are fully prepared for school.

The Day Nursery is for children aged three months to five years old and the Out of School Provision is for five to 11 year olds.

Footprints is a fantastic nursery. It has a welcoming warm feel to it- the rooms are all bright and warm and the staff are friendly. I was very nervous about leaving my year old baby at nursery to go back to work but from the settling in sessions I knew she would be well cared for. She loves nursery!
The staff are fantastic and really care about her. The activities are always stimulating and food excellent. I would definitely recommend Footprints to others!

Two of my three children currently go to this nursery and it is amazing. My eldest son has medical problems and the staff are extremely helpful and accommodating to the extra help and support that he needs. The staff are also happy to help with any issues or concerns you may have and will sit and talk
through them with you to help put your mind at easy and they are always very welcoming and inviting to everyone. They run some wonderful events at the nursery which we have been attending since before my children started at the nursery. With out a doubt 100% best nursery.

Truly amazing nursery!! My little girl has been going since September, she has come on so much since starting, has good relationships with the other children and staff. The staff are always lovely and helpful!

Footprints Day Nursery have gone above and beyond looking after my daughter who has additional needs. She has excelled so much in the couple of years since she started.
A bad word can not be said about the staff and I would recommend this nursery to every parent.

Our son has been attending Footprints since around November 2015, and we have been extremely pleased with what we have seen so far. All the staff are very friendly, engaging and seem to take a genuine interest in all the children's learning and development. They never fail to give us a full review of
what our son has been doing and how he has been behaving, as well as what he has been learning about allowing us to integrate his home learning with their curriculum, and this is supported by the high-quality learning materials that he brings home. The 2015 Nativity was a particular highlight, which we found to be very professionally produced and our hats go off to the staff for being able to wrangle that many young children so well for so long. All in all, we are very impressed with the staff, the facilities, and the standard of care our son receives and would be keen to recommend this nursery to friends and family.

My daughter has attended on a full time basis since she was 9 months old; she is now in the Preschool room. Throughout her time at Footprints ALL the staff have made a real effort to get to know my daughter and build a relationship with me. My daughter is always warmly welcomed in the morning, and I
love the stories staff can tell me about her antics during the day. Management are always available and the nursery operate an open door policy which is very reassuring as a parent. Academically, the nursery strive to develop children in all areas, and through daily chats and Parents Evenings we are always kept up to date with progress- my daughter definitely would not be where she was without Footprints. Extra curricular activities that she has had the opportunity to participate in this year are: a nativity production, a PE lesson (in prep for school) and a trip to the local shops to buy ingredients for baking. She loves it!

Footprints Day Nursery is a fantastic place for your little one! It has friendly and well trained staff that understand your child's personal needs.
My daughter used to attend the nursery and she loved it! My son's been attending the nursery for two months now and I already can see a positive change
in his behaviour and social skills.

A very good nursery in my eyes. My son has been to a nursery prior to attending footprints and even he says how he enjoys footprints more than the other! Brilliant teachers and room leaders. The managers are lovely and all the other staff are amazing. Thank you for giving my son a lovely enjoyable time
at nursery :)
