Lovely kindergarten very helpful staff and they always make time for your child. The staff always try to make it exciting for my child. Absolutely great kindergarten. Fun outdoor equipment for all children.

Amazing nursery! My daughter has been going since she was 2 years old, leaving there this year to go to big school. They are such a great team. My daughter loves it. She has become a very clever independent young lady and I’ll be sure to send my other daughter there to.

My daughter is usually very nervous and overwhelmed with new places which made me very sceptical of enrolling her to any nurseries but she was made to feel very welcome and staff were very understanding, she now loves going here and has also drastically improved her anxiety.

My little girl goes there 3 days a week and since she has been doing fantastic she started talking a lot more since she has been there, the staff are so polite and good I recommend this nursery 100 per cent.

Amazing nursery, my son loves it there, they have a nice variety of things for the children to do. The outdoor space is really lovely for the children and the staff are really kind and helpful. Would 100% recommend!

Everyone I’ve interacted with has always been so lovely and welcoming and friendly to not only our daughter but myself and my partner as well. They’re tip-top on safety and making sure the passwords are used when necessary. Our daughter loves coming to school every single time and she always comes out
beaming with joy. Anytime she’s been upset the staff around her are always so loving and kind, it’s really like we’re sending her to be with family, she loves it and the girls there so much! We feel well informed about what they’re getting up to and when anytime there’s been accidents or not so good days we’ve been told right away and have been able to deal with whatever in an appropriate way. We love Chestnut Grove.

My son is absolutely loving his nursery days! He is so excited to go and always comes home full of smiles, he settled in immediately. My eldest son who is 10 now also attended this nursery for 2 years and I couldn't recommend them enough.

My son loved it here, the staff were always friendly and helpful especially when I was really worried about him going to school they put my mind at ease and when he went in crying they were always there to help him.
When he left there he had so much confidence ready to go to reception.

My first daughter started at Chestnut Grove Kindergarten Day Nursery in September last year and she absolutely loves it, she has made so many lovely friends and always leaves nursery happy and excited to tell me everything she has been up to.
The staff are all fabulous, always friendly and smiling
and will go above and beyond for the children there.
I decided to enrol my second daughter a few months ago now, she isn't yet 2 years old and hasn't had much interaction with other children, she also had a little separation anxiety but since being at Chestnut Grove has come on leaps and bounds and I have the nursery to thank for that.

The workers are so friendly when greeting us and my child is always happy and excited when seeing them. Their communication is great and they're always keeping me updated on progress. Such a lovely homely nursery.

Wonderful nursery, my girls love it. The staff are fantastic and so accommodating and they seem to genuinely, really, care about all the children. The activities they offer are varied and fun, and the chats when I collect my girls at the end of the day are reassuring and helpful. I would not hesitate
to recommend this nursery.

A truly fantastic nursery. My son has been here since he was 7 months old and it really helps him with his development and social interaction. The staff are fantastic and I can not praise them highly enough. Super friendly and highly efficient. I would, and do, recommend to anyone looking for a nursery

My son joined Chestnut Grove one month ago after a bad experience at his previous nursery and what a month it's been! I could not recommend this nursery enough. The staff are amazing and my little boy has come so far in such a short amount of time. He's so happy at pick up, he doesn't want to leave!!
The activities are varied and he has so much fun playing. I love the use of the online app for learning updates and great information in his daily diary.
I've said thank you a million times over but will say it once more, thank you for everything! The best nursery around and would recommend to anyone.

My daughter is very happy at Chestnut Grove, she is in the 0-2 year old room. She is always well cared for and is learning lots of new things. The staff do lots of varied activities with the children so they're always experiencing new things, plenty of messy play goes on which my daughter loves. I really
like that we have a nursery-home book which the staff write a snapshot of her day in, so I know what she's been doing/eating/enjoying. They also use an online child development website/app the staff upload their observations of my daughter to it and I can see these updates through an app on my mobile. The nursery always smells clean when you walk in and the garden always looks fresh. Staff are always polite and my daughter has a lovely relationship with her room staff.
The prices for the nursery are amazing compared to other nurseries in Clacton.

With it being the 1st time leaving my daughter, I was a bit apprehensive but all staff members really help to make it as easy as possible and are so supportive! I'm now so comfortable and happy to leave her in safe hands.

Sabrina has been with Chestnut Grove since opening in 2010 and has worked her way up to Deputy Manager in that time.


She has an NVQ level 3 qualification in child care and has 12 years experience working within early years.


Denise

Denise Hawke

Job Title: Nursery Principal/Manager

Joined: 2010

Denise is a BA(Hons) level 7 practitioner in Early Years in Child Care, she recently attained this qualification with a 2.1


Her experience spans over a 30 year period starting out working within various settings becoming room leader, deputy manager, manager and eventually owner of Chestnut Grove.


Denise has a huge commitment to creating the best possible start for all the children in her care at Chestnut Grove and it always brings her great pleasure when children come back to visit her.
