Lovely nursery and my daughter really loves it. She loves all the carers and staff at the nursery and looks forward to it! The app gives good visibility of your child's day while you are away from them and lets me keep involved with any developments or learning she does. I like that nursery lets us
drop her off later in the morning, if that suits us better than 8am.

Thank you for the review. I am glad that your child looks forward to nursery, that is so lovely to hear. Also, I am happy that you find the app useful and beneficial to your child's learning.

Great place. Superb staff, very professional and friendly. Very reliable and easy to contact. They are helpful in many situations and look after all children. For me, the biggest thing is that they want to understand your child's struggles and they support you and your child.

Amazing nursery. All staff are lovely and easy to talk to. My little one has come a long way with the help of everyone there. She has learned how to write her name and identify letters and numbers all while attending the nursery. Thank you.

My boys, aged two and a half and four, both love the nursery and all the lovely ladies that work there. They always talk about their day, how much fun they had, what they did etc.
All the staff here are so friendly, always happy, helpful and supportive. They always keep you updated on the app and
reply to your messages as quickly as possible.
I love the fact I get a review done on my boys' progress.
I would 100% recommend this nursery to anyone.

Highly Recommend. My son had a terrible experience with a childminder before attending Northlands Park Nursery which is local to us but recommended by a health visitor. We haven't had a tear to date! Very happy to see him go in happy. The girls are very welcoming and make the whole drop-off and collection
very smooth which is so reassuring. Our son is constantly speaking of the girls and asking for them on non-nursery days and chatting about his day. We are always informed on how the day has gone and what he has been up to. He has flourished with his language and social skills.

My child started nursery in September, it was a difficult start for her with lots of crying, but the staff was very nice and showed a lot of patience to settle her into the setting. In 2 weeks my daughter started to love being there and she loves the staff. I am very happy with how my daughter is progressing
in the setting and I would recommend it to my friends and family.

The standard of safety, updates and contact is second to none. My daughter is three and a half and loves the setting and misses it when she's not there. She comes home singing the song they've learnt and tells me about her day. My daughter is also eating more ranges of food since starting nursery in
September 2021 - which I couldn't encourage her to do at home (it must be her peers helping). The staff always give a good handover and are always attentive and caring towards her needs. I'm so pleased she is at this nursery.
The only slight suggestion is that I wish they had more funding to have more space - but the staff and management are very good at including activities and learning within their space.

My child has been attending the nursery since April 2022, and I always have such a great experience whenever I see or speak to anyone at the nursery.
The team always take the time to tell me how my child has been throughout the day and post updates on the in-house app so I can check in myself too.
The whole experience of my child going to nursery was overwhelming to start with, but the team have always been so reassuring and kind - all I can do is sing their praises!

Reply from Selina Baylis, Nursery Manager at Northlands Park Nursery

Thank you for your lovely review. We do understand how hard it is for parents/carers to leave their children in a new setting, so I am glad my team have been able to reassure you and make it easier for you.

When my son started nursery he struggled with drop offs and the nursery staff were so helpful and caring, they have made him so calm and happy. He loves his key worker and I can understand why, she is such a lovely lady and has so much patience with him. She is always in contact with me regarding his
progress and anything new he likes, which helps me a lot at home. They keep me informed on the app of what hes eating, nappy changes and any incidents I need to be aware of. Couldnt ask for anything more.

My little girl who is aged three now attends nursery Thursday-Friday each week at Northlands Park Nursery and has loved it since starting. The girls have gone above and beyond for her and me and have done their best to welcome us into the setting and to settle her! I and my dad are separated and the
manager helps to keep myself and dad updated on everything we need to know and will communicate between us both on important dates and pictures of my little one which helps to make it easier between us both. The staff are all so friendly and are welcoming when attending the setting at any time. The staff do their best in also supporting you as well as your children I would highly recommend this setting!

My baby started the nursery at 6 months and every time i pick her up she is always smiling and happy. I don't have a bad word to say about this nursery.

All the staff here are so friendly, always happy, helpful and supportive. They always keep you well up to date on the family app along with replying

to your messages as quickly as possible.

I love the fact I get a review done on my baby girl on her progress from rolling to crawling along with what her next task is such as eating with a spoon on her own, this also helps in our home life for me to work on with her.

I would 100% recommend this nursery to anyone.

My child has recently joined this nursery and I’m so glad they did. They’ve been going since Feb and couldn’t be happier. As expected on the first day, we were in tears - both my child and myself. But when the second day came around for dropping them off it was an excitable experience as my child was
so excited. Knowing this was their reaction I felt comfort knowing they were in the best hands. The staff are so great and welcoming. We look forward to the school run and seeing the joy it brings my child when attending. I couldn’t recommend a better school. The fact my child is listening better and surprising me with new skills every day is such a joy.

My daughter started here back in January and like most children, she did struggle to start with, but now she’s a whole different child. Her speech has come in amazingly, she loves going and always asks to go on her days off and loves all the staff. The staff are amazing and take the time to really get
to know your little one and their needs. Will always recommend the nursery to anyone.

I cannot praise the team at Northlands Park Nursery enough. My son joined the nursery when he was very young and has settled in so well. He is more than happy to go in every morning and is always happy to see the staff which as a parent makes going back to work so much easier. My son has excelled since
he has been at Northlands and I cannot recommend this nursery enough to any parent.

Current Review Score: 8.5 (8.494)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.5 (8.494) out of 10 for Northlands Park Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.6 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.944 for Northlands Park Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (34 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 36 Ratings = 4.944

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.55 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Northlands Park Nursery is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 50 number of registered child places is 10. 3 Positive Reviews ÷ 10 = 0.3

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
