Shoebury Nursery part of the 'Early Years Alliance' provides care and education for up to 84 children from the age of six weeks to five years.

Rated 'Good' by Ofsted in March 2023, the nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), providing children with a strong foundation in the start of their education and supporting them to learn and develop through play.

The nursery team is dedicated and well-qualified and encourage parents to get involved at the nursery where possible. Staff are paediatric first aid trained.

The nursery is open 51 weeks of the year between 8.00am and 6pm Monday - Friday.
The nursery is closed over Xmas and bank holidays.

Sessions available are

08:00-13:00 Toddlers & Pre school
13:00-18:00 Toddlers & Pre-school
Full day- 8.00-18.00 Toddlers and Pre-school
(For Babies minimum of 2 full days no half days)


Please note visits to look around are welcome and the nursery ask if you could avoid the lunchtime period as they have a lot of children changing sessions.

My son has been attending this nursery for 5 months and is developing well with the staff's encouragement. He has plenty of toys to keep him occupied (he is 16 months old) and always seems like he's had a good time when I come to collect him. The staff are attentive to his needs and I have complete
confidence in leaving him at nursery whilst I work.

My daughters have been cared for at Shoebury Nursery for almost 3 years. The staff are friendly and caring and have always been accommodating in our parenting choices eg., baby led weaning, potty training etc. My children love going to nursery and continue to benefit from the care and education they
receive there and are making good progress. I think the service they offer is really good value for money and I would definitely recommend them.

I have four children who have attended this nursery, I currently have two twins there in their final year before going up to 'big school'. The truth is, the twins, like their siblings before them, do not want to leave the nursery.
All of my children have been shy, scared, nervous and tearful when
starting out at the nursery when they were aged two. Yet the nursery have played an enormous role in allowing them to blossom into confident, joyful and polite young boys and girls. The feedback at the end of every session is fantastic. The staff are all, without exception, highly capable. I have never once felt that my children were in anything other than a safe, clean, caring, and nurturing environment.
The nursery is part of my 'team' helping myself and my wife try to bring our children up as best we can. It will be a very sad day when the last of our children leave Shoebury Nursery for the last time.

As a mother, finding quality but affordable childcare has been a challenge. However, since Shoebury Nursery provided my daughter with a place and the support and help given to her and also myself as mum has been amazing and I am pleased with the service Shoebury Nursery provide. Nothing is too much
trouble and the staff are friendly. My daughter seems very content and comfortable and I think the staff definitely make a difference to how the environment affects the children. I feel reassured as a working mum that my daughter's needs are met at every level. The hour's suit a working parent and especially the option of breakfast drop off as this helps me with work also. I have always had my enquires answered in a very professional but friendly manner and the guidance and support offered is never too much trouble. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere is positive. I cannot thank Shoebury nursery enough for their help looking after my little girl.
