They do have a big carpark. If parents use the station that can park their car in the carpark for a small fee £1.00 which goes towards children's toys.

Thank you so much for such a lovely review. It was sad once the youngest left us this year, as all the children that leave us to go to school. We at Quince Tree love to see children thrive within the nursery.

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.426) out of 10 for Quince Tree Day Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.
a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.
b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.5 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.
The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:
a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.
The Average Rating of 4.917 for Quince Tree Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (66 Excellents x 5) + (6 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 72 Ratings = 4.917
b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').
The 4.509 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Quince Tree Day Nursery is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:
The 5 points available are broken down as follows:
i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6
ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 33 number of registered child places is 6.6. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 6.6 = 0.909
When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Director
Joined: 2006
I have had various employments over my years of working. My very first employment was looking after Greyhounds which I really enjoyed but wanted something more, So I went on to working & training in accounts until I left to have my three children, I then become a grandmother which got me into childminding to help my daughters who wanted to go back to work. I did childminding for over 15 years, I was then asked by my eldest daughter to help buy into Quince Tree Day Nursery, which of course I did. I have owned Quince Tree since 2006. I am level 3 trained. I love seeing the children in the nursery thrive in my nursery. I mostly work in the office now doing the admin & wages for staff. I love to go for walks with my Husband Steve, Until ten years ago I played netball & also umpired but because of back & neck problems I had to retire. We love being with our children their partners, Grandchildren & our new addition our great granddaughter.

Penny started Quince Tree as a term-time nursery nurse. Penny then progressed into room leader & also SEN leader. In 2017 Penny became Deputy Manger when our last Deputy Manager retired.
She has worked extremely hard within the nursery. This showed when Nikki Penny & the staff at Quince Tree were awarded Outstanding in 2018.
Penny has a good relationship with the staff, management & me the owner. Penny has a very good relationship with parents & children in the nursery. During the covid, the manager Nikki & Penny worked extremely hard during a very trying time for everyone. Then at the end of 2020, Nikki resigned as Manager. I had no hesitation in promoting Penny to manager. Penny is Level three qualified. Penny knows what needs to be done within the nursery. Keeps a watch on the staff making sure that paperwork is up to date.
Job Title: Deputy Manager

Frankie started with Quince Tree in September 2012. Frankie has a Level 3 childcare award. When Frankie joined the team at Quince Tree, she was Nursery Nurse in the Baby room helping Tina who was the senior in the room.
Frankie became Room leader in the baby room in 2016 when Tina moved out of the area. Over time we have had to move Frankie into different rooms as Room leader because of staff changes & Penny knew Frankie would be the person able to adapt to change, in 2021 Frankie was promoted to Deputy Manager taking Penny's position. Frankie has a good relationship with Penny, me & staff in the nursery. Frankie is very good with the parents & children at the nursery.
