Kingsmead Day Nursery in Chandler’s Ford is a small, friendly, independent nursery situated away from a busy road. Parking is convenient and there is quick access to the M3.

The nursery stands in a large, secluded woodland garden with different play areas for the children to enjoy, including covered areas for rainy days.

Kingsmead caters for children from three months to five years of age. The three units are divided according to age and are fully equipped. As the nursery exclusively offers thirty-six places, full time and part time, carers feel they can offer a comforting family environment for your child.

Many of the staff have been with the nursery a long time and are of mixed ages. The nursery also has a cook who creates home cooked meals throughout the day.

Kingsmead Day Nursery is a wonderful setting and we will be sad to say goodbye this year as our child moves on to school.
Our daughter's confidence has grown so much as she has progressed through each of the rooms and she has such admiration for all of the staff at nursery. Everyone is absolutely
wonderful - professional but also so caring and friendly.
The facilities and outside space are outstanding, my daughter has loved taking part in the additional activities offered by the nursery which have included Tennis (additional cost) and Really Wild Club (included). Kingsmead has truly given our daughter the best start and we are extremely grateful for everything.

Kingsmead has been an amazing facility. The staff are committed to the well-being of all the kids. We have truly enjoyed the last few years with the nursery and are so blessed to have had our little one looked after by such caring staff.

My son started at Kingsmead Nursery in 2021 and we were so impressed that we decided to start our daughter here despite her already attending another nursery slightly further away.
All of the staff are a huge asset to the nursery and it is hugely reassuring they know all of the children so well (even
part-time children) and really go out of their way to ensure they are happy and well cared for. The key person approach is also taken very seriously and very meaningful updates are given, along with a very individualised plan for each child's key developments. Handovers are very good and it is lovely to get a true insight into your child's day.
The setting is really lovely and very well arranged, with a smaller garden towards the front for the younger children and a very large garden to the rear with plenty of trees providing shade. The food is freshly prepared by the on-site cook and is loved by both our children, as is the cook who also takes an interest in the children.

Kingsmead is a wonderful nursery. My son has attended Kingsmead since the age of two and as a family, we really have no complaints. He has been very happy there.
It has so much to offer with a fantastic outdoor area. The staff are approachable, and friendly and are always keen to engage with both parents
and children during the drop-off and pick-up.
My son has ran into nursery on the two days he attends and has made some lovely friends there, it is so nice to see the progress he has made over the last couple of years and is now well-prepared and excited to move on to school.

Kingsmead Nursery have been absolutely amazing in the years that my son has attended. Both of my children have attended Kingsmead Nursery, with my second leaving for school this month. During the 8 years I've known them it has been a huge comfort to know my children are so well cared for. It's a beautiful setting with a range of outside spaces and feels more like a home. The staff know
every child well and provide a fantastic range of activities, clubs and equipment. All of which are continually invested in and improved. The staff are lovely with a good mix of experience (and continuity) and genuinely care for every child, always looking to support them in a way that fits the child and the parents' wishes. The food provided is prepared fresh on-site daily and my children's allergies have been well catered for. Myself and my children will hugely miss Kingsmead as we move onto this next phase. Absolutely I would recommend this setting.

Having viewed a few nurseries, Kingsmead stood out very quickly as the most ideal for us. Since attending, my child has grown significantly in all areas due to the friendly, knowledgeable staff who have guided many aspects of her development and learning. The outdoor space and facilities are excellent
and the activities the staff do are fantastic. We highly recommend the nursery.

Our daughter started Kingsmead in September 2023 - for the short time she has been there, we are very happy. The nursery is a lovely place for children, with wonderful outdoor facilities. The staff are always very friendly and like to discuss each day what activities our daughter has engaged in. They
like to include our daughter in all activities, despite her going one day a week. The management team are also very helpful and friendly. Very pleased so far.

Superb setting. Kind, caring and compassionate staff, responsive to individual needs. Excellent facilities and activities. My daughter loves attending and has adjusted really well from day one, after a turbulent time in a previous nursery. Cannot thank the team enough who all go above and beyond to

My child loves going to nursery, she has settled very well and loves all the staff. She enjoys doing activities and plays well with the other children.
At home, she is fussy with her food, but the staff manage to encourage her to eat whilst at nursery. My child is happy when dropped off and picked
up, which puts my mind at ease during the time she is at Kingsmead.

Kingsmead Day Nursery has been brilliant for my daughter and really helped her to develop and be ready to transition to school. The staff are all friendly and approachable and give good feedback at pick-up time. I look forward to our son starting here when he's old enough!
Can't rate cleanliness as
haven't entered the nursery since 2020 due to COVID.
Value for money - all UK nurseries are unreasonably expensive but this is a government-level issue, not the fault of any particular nursery.

Kingsmead have provided an excellent service to two of my children, they love going to nursery and all of the staff. It really feels like a family who loves and nurtures them. The staff are predominately mature with a wealth of experience and the children are in great hands. They have an on-site chef
who makes sure the children have a well-balanced diet. I credit the nursery with making our boys good eaters and also with toilet training as they have come on in leaps and bounds with the nursery's help. Our eldest son has just started school and will be finishing nursery this week and he will miss everyone very much.

My daughter has been attending nursery for just over a year now, and in that time we have definitely seen progress in her confidence. The staff know that she can be shy and stubborn and continuously ask her questions without being too pushy. They are always friendly and my daughter always comes out
smiling. I'm really impressed by their communication, response time and overall interaction with parents. Their safeguarding protocols are excellent which is of high importance to me.

We are delighted to have found this lovely nursery which offers a small, caring and happy setting for our son to play and learn as he gets ready for school. We have sent both our children here and they have both thrived with such warm and enthusiastic staff working in a bright, safe and spacious environment
with plenty of variety in equipment and activities on offer. My son recently potty trained and it was an incredibly easy experience sending him in on only day 4, thanks to the excellent support of his key person. Thank you!

My son has always been fussy with his food, however, Kingsmead Nursery have always been very understanding and accommodating for this to make sure he doesn't go hungry.
Communication has always been very good in reporting how my son's day has been.

Whilst our son only joined just recently as parents we have found the experience of him starting extremely positive, knowing he's settling in a safe and happy environment and all his needs are catered for, helping him develop and grow. We chose this nursery as we felt it was the right place for our
son to start his journey. The outdoor space is amazing, the staff are caring and approachable and their teaching methods are inspiring and we're already seeing a difference in him. This was the best decision we made.

I started sending my baby to Kingsmead Day Nursery a few months ago. She is quite young and my first baby, so I was a bit anxious about leaving her. I need not have worried, as Kingsmead Day Nursery were wonderful from the start. From the extensive first tour of the nursery to my daughter's first taster
session, I knew it was the best place for our family.
The staff are always friendly and seem to genuinely enjoy being with my daughter. We get little photos and written updates about what our baby has been learning and playing with. The food is also excellent - all prepared on-site and the cook is always happy to amend the menu based on parental preference. I want to pass on a big thank you to the Kingsmead team, for looking after my daughter.
