I moved my daughter from her previous nursery to be closer to home and I was very anxious about it. I can honestly say that Warren Park Girls and Boys Nursery is exceptional. The staff are kind, caring and very attentive, they always go above and beyond for all the children in their care. Nothing is
too much trouble and you feel so supported by the nursery managers and staff.
I highly recommend it.

My son has been attending the nursery since he was 9 months old and I can see such a difference in him! The staff are so patient and he is so excited to go in every week. I’m so grateful that my son has them as his second family!

My son has attended YMCA Nursery Warren Park since January 2021. The nursery has been absolutely brilliant with him. He has come so far since he started. He was delayed in speech and struggled socially with other children. The nursery went above and beyond to cater for his needs - he was given one-to-one
help and speech and language therapy sessions. The nursery has tracked his progress and given us updates constantly. They have even given us resources to use at home to help us to continue the good work they have been doing. The staff are very kind and friendly, and my son loves going there. He is often laughing with his key worker and trying to make the staff laugh too. We had to break it to him gently that his key worker would not be joining him in moving up to school. The nursery has ensured that he is ready to start school in September, and as he goes to nursery all year round will continue to work with him until he leaves. I am very grateful to the nursery for all their support.

The nursery is in an ideal location, on a school site, very close to a bus route and free parking. Being on school grounds, the nursery has additional security and then it's own. The staff are able to use the grounds of the school, which allows for extra activities and exploration. My son started in
April 2021 and has developed so much since starting. He always goes in so happy, and when I collect him he is always engaged in an activity or playing with the range of toys on offer. The nursery has a group, who is supporting my son and I, offering activity ideas to enhance his attention and moving on to developing the speech. The setting is always clean and has a vast range of activities and resources for the children to enjoy. The staff are so friendly, always smiling and chatty. I receive updates on my son's development through an online app so I can see him develop even when not with him. The management is really friendly and so supportive. Thank you, YMCA Nursery Warren Park.

I love Warren Park nursery. I’ve used it now for two children, of different ages, and they both love it. They both enjoy going. I think the staff are lovely and really do care for the children. I always feel confident in leaving my children there and trust that they are looked after well. I think the
staff are very loving towards the children. I also love the fact they have properly cooked meals daily and feel that they have a well-balanced diet there. They have plenty of toys and activities indoors, as well as lovely garden areas with plenty to do! They appear to have a well-structured day, and I love how they talk about their feelings each morning. I will always recommend this nursery.

Fantastic nursery!
My daughter always comes out with a smile on her face with new things she's made and drawn.
They do so many different things and activities as well as free play.
The staff are so friendly and welcoming.
I'm always kept up to date on my daughter's progress and what she's done and
eaten throughout the day!
I would 100% recommend Warren Park Nursery!

This is our 4th child at this nursery, and we’re impressed as always. Very nice staff and very helpful; she loves her teachers.
One time I arrived at 17:56pm to pick the little one up, and I remember walking into the nursery dead at 18:00 pm. I had been caught in traffic on my way from work. Usually,
I’m much earlier. However, the nursery staff told me not to be late again. They said if I was late again, their insurance wouldn’t cover it, and I would be charged again? Didn’t make sense. I just feel they could be a bit more lenient with that. Other than that, we are very happy with the nursery. Over the moon.
Thank you to you all.

We first found out about the nursery in 2015, and our eldest son started in 2016 at 7-months-old, followed by our second son in 2018 at 8-months-old, and finally our daughter in 2021 at 9-months-old. They have each attended for around 2-days per wk all year round.
We were first drawn to the nursery
due to the staff, facilities and flexibility offered. The three age group rooms have their own individual 'front' play gardens with big canopies for protection on sunny days and lots to do. Then there is one 'rear' playground, which each group also has access to with lots of scooters, etc. The nursery is on the grounds of a local school, so as well as their own safety measures, there are gates to the grounds too with the location, offering the staff the opportunity to safely show the children around the school's wooded nature area.
The staff turnover is very low; they are all so wonderful and caring; they helped sort out SALT for our eldest. The food is excellent. The children enjoy going - what more can you say!

Our children have both gone to this nursery over the years, and both loved going. The facilities are always clean and well kept. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They do a lot of day to day activities with the children, such as crafts, messy play, walks and special activities too.
They've had the police come and show what they do and let the kids see and sit in their van, they've been to a special singing and reading session in the local library, they have a small wood on the grounds and take the children on walks there. It's just really great!
Our kids have learned so much, like their first reading, writing and counting skills are all brilliant and not something we've done at home but been encouraged by the nursery.
They've also been extremely helpful with potty training, as we struggled with that for some time, but their advice and encouragement got us there is only a few weeks' time.
Overall, it's an amazing place, full of lovely people that always give their best.

Great nursery. My son has developed massively since joining. Highly recommended.
He has really come out of his shell with the help of the staff and has learned a lot.
My daughter will be joining in September, and I have high hopes she will enjoy her time there as much as my son is.

My son has been coming to Warren Park since September 2021. When he first started, he was a very quiet child, but since coming to nursery and preschool, his confidence has blossomed. His speech is now excellent. Everything he has learnt since being at the pre-school. He loves coming to school every
day and is always so, so happy when I pick him up. In particular, one lady has had such a positive impact on his learning journey. We couldn’t recommend Warren Park anymore if we tried.

Current Review Score: 8.1 (8.111)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.1 (8.111) out of 10 for Girls & Boys Nursery Warren Park is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.2 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.875 for Girls & Boys Nursery Warren Park is calculated as follows: ( (21 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 24 Ratings = 4.875

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.236 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Girls & Boys Nursery Warren Park is based on 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 = 3.125

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 90 number of registered child places is 18. 2 Positive Reviews ÷ 18 = 0.111

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
