My wife and I are extremely happy with how well our children have both settled into Egg Nursery. The pre visits and being shown around put our minds at ease from the start and made our children feel very welcome at the nursery. The staff seem to know both our girls incredibly well already and take the
time to settle them in the morning and give us a clear hand over of their day in the evening. The girls love all the activities and the eldest especially enjoys the garden area.

Our little girl has attended Egg Day Nursery, Sutton Scotney since she was nine months old. She absolutely loves going to nursery and has a close bond with many of the staff as well as making many friends. The nursery is great at keeping us informed of room transitions and key person changes and we
love receiving tapestry updates throughout the week, letting us know what she has been doing, how she is developing and lots of photos too. Our little one loves it here and so do we.

We could not have selected a better nursery for our son to attend. The staff are wonderful and do all that they can to make the children feel safe, secure and they make sure that they have lots of fun.
I love the evening handover - finding out about the day, what they have enjoyed and what yummy food
has been prepared. Also, the app logs are really lovely to see and when you see the smiles it gives you that all-important reassurance that your child is happy and having fun.
The nursery itself is very clean, very well equipped and has great outside space for lots more fun and fresh air. Our son loves to be outside and really loves the little trips to the park and other local places.
Overall, a fantastic nursery.

An excellent nursery in a lovely setting. The staff are amazing, they serve healthy cooked meals and really care about the children’s development and well being. I am totally relaxed about my daughter being at Egg Day Nursery, knowing she is safe and happy. My son is due to start soon too. Can’t fault
it.

Egg Day Nursery is an exceptional nursery. Our son loved his time there; we were very lucky to have such a great childcare provider.

The children are at the centre of everything Egg Day Nursery does - it was lovely to hear about the varied activities at the daily handover and all the delicious food

made by the in-house chef. The themed weeks were great fun too! Detailed information was provided via an online system and parents evenings, so we would always know how he was getting on.

Egg Day Nursery’s success is all down to the brilliant staff - all friendly, professional, and welcoming. The nursery is set in a converted chapel with lots of outside space, including a recently renovated garden and adventure area. The village setting means trips to the park and community centre are possible and annual events like the Sports Day and Christmas Show bring the children, staff and parents together. The management team is brilliant and communications at every level are clear, quick and efficient. Thank you!

Current Review Score: 8.9 (8.894)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.9 (8.894) out of 10 for Busy Bees Sutton Scotney is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.859 for Busy Bees Sutton Scotney is calculated as follows: ( (62 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 71 Ratings = 4.859

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.035 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Sutton Scotney is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 69 number of registered child places is 13.8. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 13.8 = 0.435

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
