Tops Day Nursery - Winchester is located near the Royal Hampshire County Hospital and Winchester University.

This nursery is part of a group that provides the most eco-sustainable childcare and education in the UK, being respectful of the environment and acting to reduce, re-use and recycle resources is an important part of the culture and routine for the children and staff.

The team of staff offers happy, nurturing care for the hours parents need. The nursery offers flexible hours and parents can book to the nearest 15 minutes, to allow them more choice over childcare.

The staff provide a safe and stimulating environment for children from three months old until they reach school age. The nursery is open from 6am to 8pm, subject to demand.

Tops Day Nurseries has a number of extracurricular activities such as Tops Cooking School, Tops Forest School, meditation, yoga, Rugby Rangers, Boogie Mites, tooth brushing and much more.

Tops Winchester can offer 15 funded which is available for two, three- and four-year-olds and 30 hours for eligible families.

While each child is at Tops Winchester, families are always welcome to call as often as they like to discuss their child's progress and day at nursery.

Important information such as sleep times, nappy changes and milk and food intake is recorded by staff and included in a daily report on EYLOG.

The nursery group has a no-added sugar menu in all its nurseries, offering children a nutritional, healthy diet early in their lives.

My son has attended since he was around 16-months-old and will be leaving this year for school.
He absolutely loves it. The staff in preschool are kind and loving. They support his development and independence but provide him with the right nurturing too. The staff in all rooms have been equally as
loving as he’s worked his way to preschool.
The staff are mostly the same since he started, so he knows them very well, and they know him very well.
My daughter also attended for a year a couple of years ago and loved it just as equally.
We get updates regularly on the app, which is lovely. The nursery manager is supportive and always there if you need a chat or advice. Through the Covid pandemic, they have been just amazing, never complained and have remained open!

A wonderful nursery that both our children go to. Friendly and personal, but they are also very professional. Good food and they have a lot of fun. I would recommend it to anyone who needs childcare without hesitation.

We cannot recommend Tops Winchester enough. We already loved the nursery, with our eldest son attending since he was 10-months (now 4), but over the last year, they have truly excelled themselves, providing the stability that our boys needed over the pandemic, showing them such attentive care, and always
going out of their way to help in any way they can. There is a real “can do” attitude and the staff are, without exception, amazing. The manager and the deputy do a wonderful job of running things, and we can’t thank them and the rest of the team enough.

Tops Winchester is a fantastic nursery! My son joined mid-pandemic, which worried me as he hadn't had much contact with other people since he was born, but they have put me completely at ease, and he has been thriving since attending. We love being kept up to date through the online portal; it's so
nice seeing what activities he is doing day-to-day. The staff are all fabulous; they always welcome my son in the morning with the happiest energy and are on hand to offer advice if needed. Nothing beats seeing my sons huge smile when he sees his key worker coming to the door! We are very impressed with the food menu, with being vegetarian, we were worried when looking for a nursery about the lack of options for him, but at Tops Winchester, there is an amazing range of different things on the menu. We would 100% recommend Tops Winchester to parents; these guys go above and beyond for the kids and their families.

There's a lot of things to say about Tops Winchester (all of them good!), but what has really made a difference this past year is the stability they've provided the children. They've been a constant, always smiling, always communicating with us grown-ups, and ensuring the kids were minimally impacted
by what's going on in the world. They've managed to keep all Covid related procedures fun (temperature taking, visors, education on germs and the importance of handwashing). The practitioners have a real commitment to the kids, and we've been grateful for their presence throughout the pandemic.

Tops Day Nurseries: Winchester has been such a wonderful place for my daughters to attend. The team are always so welcoming and positive when they arrive and give updates throughout the day to let us know how they are getting on. The girls pop in to visit each other throughout the day which is a wonderful
support for them both and they are always so excited to tell me what they have been up to at nursery and which friends have been in that day for them to play with. The staff are friendly, kind, supportive and helpful. I feel very confident sending my girls to Tops and know that they will be well cared for and supported. Thank you to the wonderful team there.

My son enjoys his time at preschool. He comes out happy, enthused and tells me he has had a good day. He loves the outdoors and gets to do this when he is there. He loves the opportunity of joining in with boogie mites and Forest school too as well as painting and lots of other activities. He knows
the staff well and whom we find friendly and trust their knowledge. He has been there since the start of his nursery journey and he has become confident in himself and with meeting new people and is happy.

Tops Day Nursery Winchester has been such a wholesome experience for son and niece for the last 4 years, not to mention for myself too! A phenomenal team that has looked after us all throughout our time spent at Tops Winchester. They have all done a fantastic job in preparing the children for their
next chapters, we can't thank them all enough for what a wonderful effort they have shown. The online learning portal helped me keep up to date with how my son was progressing and what he was getting up to in his day since his first day. I would 100% recommend this nursery to any parent as these guys go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcomed.

Would highly recommend! My daughter's nursery closed so moved her to Tops Day Nursery, and I wish I done it sooner. She settled in amazingly and couldn’t wait to go back the next day. She was so happy and has improved so much since being here! The staff are fantastic with the children, which really
shows when my little girl sees all the nursery teachers and gives them such a big smile!

What a wonderful nursery. From the manager down, they have been interested, helpful, caring and emotionally attuned to my sons needs. He has had a wonderful time there and already misses it. His key person has been by his side as he integrated and then developed, and he still sings her praises. He has
enjoyed all the activities, meal times and play. As a parent, I have been kept up to speed of what he and the nursery are up to via Eyelog, newsletters and direct emails. I wholeheartedly recommend the nursery.

Our son’s nursery has to close during the Covid-19 pandemic and we are both keyworkers so had to find an alternative. We were so lucky to find Tops. The staff were all so helpful, friendly and efficient at sorting a place for our son. He settled in very quickly and has loved his time at Tops. Thank

During the COVID-19 pandemic my children's usual nursery closed. As a key worker I needed to find alternative childcare. I contacted Tops in Winchester and they welcomed my 2 children. The staff were all really friendly and my children surprisingly settled in really well despite being such a challenging
time for everyone. The manager was very accommodating and was able to address any concerns I had. I would really recommend this nursery.

Our son has been attending Tops for four years, from the age of six months. The staff are always caring, kind and keen to build on his development. They really treat him as an individual and have come up with an individual care plan to stretch him beyond the normal early years curriculum. He has become
confident and sociable and has been prepared well for starting school. The flexibility in booking hours and support that Tops has provided for keyworkers during Covid has been amazing. I would highly recommend Tops to anyone.

A big thank you to all the staff at Tops Winchester for taking such good care of my daughter for the last 3 years. It was a weight off my shoulders knowing that she was safe, happy and looked after by people who genuinely care. She has made many friends and learned a lot whilst being there - I was in
fact very impressed by her number recognition the other day which I know was down to the staff at Tops taking the time to teach her. The manager and his team are wonderful.

My daughter loves it there. The staff are fantastic and really care. There are constantly changing different activities for the children to take part in and they go on lots of trips and visits out. The hours are extremely flexible which works well for us and they are so accommodating.

Tops Winchester is a wonderful nursery with a team of amazing people both in the childcare rooms and behind the scenes in the office. Many of the staff have been there since my son started in 2015 and my daughter continues to enjoy the care and support they offer now. There is always something fun going
on at the nursery. The children are continually learning, engaged and enjoying themselves.
I highly recommend Tops to anyone but particularly those who need flexibility with hours. I'm not aware of another childcare setting that offers the range of hours and services that Tops do.
