Built in the early 1900s and previously a family home, Good Manors Day Nursery Stubbington Lodge has been refurbished to create a modern, natural, light and spacious nursery.

Inside, each room has been carefully planned to provide an engaging environment for children to flourish. Learning starts with the development of sensory skills, progressing through a variety of age-appropriate activities to extend all areas of learning. The older children are encouraged to develop their personalities and improve their independence skills; through self-serving at mealtimes and choosing their own learning.

The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

The children enjoy the outdoor space all year round. This space includes a sand pit, mud kitchen, water tray and climbing wall.                

Stubbington Lodge is situated near shops, libraries and parks, providing the children the opportunity to visit and learn about the local community.

This is a truly wonderful nursery. Staff are so friendly and caring towards the children and nothing is too much, they were amazing when it came to potty training. My little boy has been here 2 and half years now and loves it. It has such a homely feel and they do so many activities with the children,
including learning a new sign each week plus they have a home-cooked lunch every day. Each day all activities and photos taken that day are uploaded onto their app.

My child settled in pretty quickly, he now lives going to nursery, his speech has come on immensely since starting at this nursery. All of the staff are fun and helpful with any specific requirements or queries. Cannot fault this nursery at all.

Sending my son to nursery was a huge step for me, especially as he has additional needs, but I needn't have worried. Throughout the entire process from day 1 to now he has been in excellent care with staff that are incredibly loving towards him.
I find everyone who works with him to be professional
in their manner and invested in his development.
The toys and resources available for him seem to get better week on week and his timetable enables him to get the most out of his time there.
We will very sad when he has to move on to school!

My daughter has been at the nursery for 3.5 years and I feel her safety is key to them at the nursery. My daughter has made some really nice friends. The food is always cooked at the nursery on the day which I like and elevates the stress of me having to sort out food each day for her. Her favourite
member of staff makes her feel comfortable and happy.

I am very pleased with the care that has been given to my child. She is always happy at the nursery and she loves it so much that on her days off she always will ask when can she go back. I can't thank enough to the management and staff for all the support they are given. I always felt confident with
my child being under their care, even when she was poorly on medication, the updates that the staff were giving me especially when I was at work, it made my life easier.
I want to thank everyone for all the care and knowledge that was given to my child. You do an amazing job.

Would highly recommend this nursery. My son always comes home smiling and telling me what he has done. The staff are very friendly and always greet my son lovely when he arrives. Sending our son to Good Manors Stubbington Lodge was the best decision we’ve ever made! He is on the ASD pathway and all the staff are so adhering to his needs, they are amazing especially his key workers and SEN manager. Thanks to Good Manors my son has improved massively with everything, communication,
behaviour, skills and relationships. They support me when I need them most, which has recently been due to lack of support from outside organisations. They are very persistent with all his forms/letters to ensure our family, the nursery and our son receive the right help on this ASD pathway. I am so grateful for everything they have done for us as a family and would honestly recommend this nursery to all. They deserve the recognition for all their hard work, especially with the current situation going on with the world right now.. they email daily for support and updates, they have supplied us with a timetable and activities whilst in isolation. Thank you so much!

Both our 4 and 2 year old have been with Good Manors since 9 months old and we couldn’t be happier with our choice of nursery. The days are always well structured, fresh meals prepared on site and they have both formed very close relationships with staff and children. All the children are catered for
according to their individual needs, the staff are caring and always have time for parents no matter the time of day. Fantastic nursery.

Myself and my son love the nursery. He does so much whilst there and is always happy and well looked after. The staff are extremely friendly and approachable. Great management who are also enthusiastic and happy to help. The range of activities is fantastic and we love the online diary which also shows
his progress and lots of pictures. Great for his Dad who is unable to pick him up due to work. Love the onsite chef who cooks great food which my son always enjoys. I would highly recommend Stubbington Lodge to any parents looking for childcare.

We have been very happy with sending our child to Good Manors for the past 3 years. All the staff are friendly and they have helped with our child's confidence and development. The management is fantastic which was especially apparent with the implications of COVID-19 and the communications we were

Caring, loving environment for the children to be in.

My son has attended this nursery for almost a year now. He loves going to nursery and regularly asks to go on days he’s not due to attend.
The care shown to our son by the staff has always been exceptional, they really seem to know each child well.


The children participate in a variety of activities

each day as well as spending time in the garden and trips out. Feedback about each child is given to parents at the end of the day.


Our son's speech and language development and social skills, in particular, have improved massively since being here and we’re happy that he’ll be ready for school when the time comes.


The food is cooked on site and is always varied and nutritious. I would thoroughly recommend the nursery to others.

Both of my children have attended Good Manors for over a year and are extremely happy there. They get very excited about going and the staff are amazing with them. My oldest is due to start school next week and I am amazed how ready she is to go because of the help and hard work from the staff. She
has already told me she will miss preschool but it is happy that she will still get to see the staff when collecting her brother.
My youngest is currently struggling with his speech but is getting a lot of help and support from the staff as they have put in plans for him and I feel he will get the time and attention he needs to help it improve.


The staff are also very helpful with any questions I have and get back to me with any queries I have promptly.

We chose Good Manors after seeing a range of other nurseries in the area and feeling it was on a much higher standard.


The staff are very approachable and friendly. Facilities are great with trips to the close by park being a regular thing.


Strong focus on the development of the children seems

high on the list of priorities which we did not see from other nurseries.


We have recommended to other side who are soon to be looking.

Hi! Claire and I are the Nursery Managers here at Good Manors Day Nursery Queenswood Lodge. I am also qualified for Level 3.


I have been working in nurseries ever since I left college and still absolutely love my job and being in a nursery environment. No two days are ever the same, where else can you go to work and be greeted with lots of lovely cuddles? Here at Stubbington Lodge, we are enthusiastic about providing exciting activities that engage the children’s interests and spark their curiosity, and pride ourselves on having great relationships with the families
