Great nursery! My little girl settled in very quickly and loves going! The staff are very friendly and very helpful, the communication is good and I enjoy being sent photos of my daughter and seeing the activities she gets up to.

My child has been attending nursery since he was 8 months he is now only 17 months but I couldn’t fault the nursery. At first, my son would cry every time I left him, as he is uncomfortable around people. Now he takes his bag from me ready to start with the lovely staff. The staff, who my child has
interacted with since being there, have done a wonderful job! They know the majority of things about my son - what he likes/dislikes, when he is tired, when hungry and so on! They have to remember other kids and they are like my child's third home. They make sure when it's sunny, they are out in the garden and my son loves the outside so that's nice to know. The one thing I would change, if it was possible, I understand the staff work from 06:00-20:00 as it is! But as I work in the hospital when working till 20:00 it is hard to try and leave early to get on time so if they made it 20:10 just so I got that little extra time to be there on time and not get charged £30:00.

My daughter has been attending this nursery since she was 10 months old. Now at the age of 3, I am very happy that she is not a very shy little girl anymore. Attending this nursery has helped her develop social skills, communication and confidence. She enjoys the variety of activities provided at the
nursery. The one aspect which needs improving is taking children for outings on foot or by vehicle. In the 2 years my daughter has been there, she has never been for any outing. And also learning log entries on the parents' app were very regular on a weekly basis until she was in explorers. After which it has been very limited. Overall, I am happy with the flexibility in booking hours and the support given. Thank you.

Hi, thank you for your review, we are so pleased to read that your little one enjoys the activities we provide at nursery and that you have also noticed an improvement in your little one's confidence, social skills and communication. The main reason for no outings in the past 2 years has been covid and the risk assessment we put into place to ensure staff and children are kept safe. However, we have started taking children on trips again in the last few months as the opportunity for more outings is there. In regard to the learning log entries, we have been really focussing on this with the staff, so children should now be receiving weekly observations in every room, we have recently introduced schema play and now that the teams are more confident in this they are able to produce more regular observations on the parents' app. Simon, Senior Nursery Manager, would be more than happy to meet with you to discuss this further, or you can email him at simon.evans@topsdaynurseries.co.uk

Amazing nursery! My daughter has been attending Tops Portsmouth since she was 11 months old. She is now 4! We've had a very pleasant experience over the years and have not had any major concerns. It is such a relief and joy to see your child getting excited to go to nursery and hug their teacher with
such excitement. It is also very hard to find such a good quality nursery with so much flexibility in the bookings. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for childcare.

Staff and management team are lovely and helpful all the time. My boy really enjoyed his time in the nursery. I noticed how quickly my boy started learning with teachers - songs, numeracy, dance, language. My boy attended nursery since he was two years old. He loved Forest School. There were great facilities,
lovely location and dedicated staff. We are pleased with how the team looked after my boy. He developed a lot through play activities at the nursery.

My daughter started at the nursery in September 2020. As a first time mum, I was very nervous about putting my child into a setting on top of the pandemic. I was almost instantly reassured, and the staff team couldn't help me enough in settling my daughter and comforting not only her but myself during
this time. She absolutely loves all the staff in the building, and they are always sending me updates of what she is up to throughout the day. We are always greeted with a lovely smile and cuddles! I love that my daughter can go with the staff without worry. If she is going to be upset, they have her routine spot on and will always listen if anything changes. I couldn't think of a better place to send my daughter; thank you so much!

Wouldn’t want my child going anywhere else!
My child started at Tops in September 2020, and ever since, he has well and truly flourished. All the staff are dedicated to their work and that shines through.
I have never met a nursery more accommodating to the needs of children and their families. They
will always help out when they can.

Lovely nursery with fantastic staff! Our 4-year-old has left to go to school, but the staff have made a lasting impression on her. We still have a 2-year-old at the nursery and she loves it. Other than on their first days, we never had tears at drop off, although sometimes they haven't wanted to come
home!

Both my sons have attended Tops QA since they were 1 and both have flourished and thrived in this environment. Now my eldest finishes here soon to begin school and I couldn't be happier or prouder of how ready and excited he is, this is massively down to Tops' superb nurturing and support they have
given him. The transition from nursery to preschool has been great and he has developed a love for learning and a confidence to get stuck in.
My youngest son has also had a fab time in the nursery in the year he has attended. He is exposed to all types of learning scenarios which are fun and engaging and he has a great love of trying new and different foods because of the wide variety he is given at the nursery too!
In all instances where I have had to change nursery hours, have had a question etc, the whole team have always been helpful no matter who I spoke to and nothing was ever too much effort.
I thoroughly recommend this nursery to anyone! Thanks for everything all at Tops QA.

My daughter started at this nursery when she was 10 months old. She started in 'The Nest' and has moved through all the rooms and is now in Pre-School. Every time she moves up a room I think to myself that the next room can't possibly be as good as the one she is leaving. And yet- it has been. Every
single time. Management have a talent for hiring excellent staff and giving them the resources to do an amazing job. My daughter loves going to nursery! She is happy and has so much fun and learns amazing things. She does Forest School once a week and after I've fetched her I hear all about their walk, or trip on the bus, or the stones on the beach, or the forest! She has another year before starting school and we are going to be genuinely sad to say goodbye to everyone at Tops. I am so grateful for the time my daughter has had in such an exceptional nursery!

Unfortunately, since June 2020 management is the worst I have ever seen. There is no communication, not being open for people. The atmosphere is heavy and that makes me feel sorry for all staff who is working with children there as they are amazing and don’t deserve that. As a parent, I’m worried about
the management having the child's best interests.

The nursery has worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic; providing faultless care to the children.
My child had been away from nursery for a while but was made to feel as though she had never been away on her return. All the teachers visibly care for all of the children. I couldn’t ask for a better

My son has been going to Tops Day Nurseries since January 2019 and they are absolutely fantastic.
Ourselves along with our son were welcomed with open arms with such warmth and fantastic service on arrival to view the nursery and since we enrolled we have not looked back.
The best decision we have
made.
He is currently in the process of being diagnosed with certain disabilities and they have been outstanding from start to finish.
He has fantastic support and the key workers, senco worker and staff have been wonderful in every aspect.
I am also going to be sending our youngest son to this nursery as I cannot fault them at all.
Absolutely amazing nursery and I will forever sing their praises!
They are very professional, kind and respectful.
They treat every child with kindness and care more then I have seen elsewhere and the workers are also very approachable amongst everything else mentioned.
Cannot thank them enough for the continued support!

We would definitely recommend to other families. All the staff were friendly, professional and approachable. There were some great activities such as forest school which our son loved. All the staff were really helpful when we were experiencing some technical problems and implemented strategies whilst
he was at nursery to help this. The only negative point was the cleanliness of the toilet facilities which we felt could have been cleaner. However, on the few occasions we mentioned this, the manager personally addressed the situation.

This nursery is amazing, my daughter has been here for 4 years and has now left for big school and myself and my daughter will miss all the staff and the fun she had there, the food they cook on site is lovely and fresh and healthy, the staff are
Always introducing new things for the children to do
and also create new learning for them, I would recommend this facility to anyone and children do well here and love it, also my daughter was poorly a lot during her time which resulted in surgery and the staff were very compassionate and offered lots of cuddles and managed her medications etc which gave me comfort, well done tops you are brilliant xx
