Children love to learn at Co-op Childcare Southampton. Using stories, songs and games the nursery help children develop at their own pace whilst having lots of fun!

Co-op Childcare are big on happy children. They have areas for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and a focus on taking care of each other and the world.
The nursery are silver eco schools accredited, a programme that sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver big environmental differences.
Big on safety, ALL staff are paediatric first aid trained. They hold the Millie’s Mark award, something only 2% of all nurseries in the UK have managed to achieve!
Using 5 Little Pioneers to help share their core values with children, they encourage them to be independent, make their own choices, express their feelings and make a difference in the world.
Co-op Childcare’s ParentZone app keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery days and includes photos from their day, assessments, meals eaten, and even toilet training progress!

My son has been attending the nursery for almost two years, since he was 9 months old. We are moving away so sadly he is having to move to another nursery. We have always found the staff very friendly and helpful and my son clearly enjoys his days there. We have always found communication very prompt
and I found the app easy to use. Overall, a really lovely nursery with great, caring staff.

A welcoming and friendly nursery with hours to meet my needs and staff who care and offer support to parents as well as the children.
Offering an engaging range of activities covering indoor and outdoor play, creative arts and literacy and numeracy which work with my child to help him understand the
world and progress his knowledge, skills and understanding. The staff provide regular feedback and offers suggestions on how to support my child’s learning outside of the nursery.
A varied range of meals and snacks to fill tummies as well as introduce new tastes and flavours that may not be eaten in the home environment.

This is an excellent nursery with amazing staff. My son really enjoys it. My son started Co-op on November 2022. It was a huge change for him as I started my first full-time job, and relocated. But the staff in his nursery were very helpful, and he got really well attached to one member of staff especially,
which helped to settle him well.

The Co-operative Childcare Southampton pre-school has been consistently excellent in providing care for my son. He has a speech delay which is well-supported and understood by the staff. Some staff members have learned Makaton signs to help him and work alongside his speech therapist to provide a consistently
high level of support. Their attention to detail has meant that other potential health issues were raised at the same time as we noticed them as parents. Their care is absolutely excellent.

My first child attended Co-operative Childcare Southampton from 2017 to 2020 and now my second child just started in February 2023.
I have recommended this nursery to several parents I know, personal friends and work colleagues, who have chosen this nursery for their children too and love it.
In general,
the staff who we have dealt with more closely have been brilliant with our children and the children love being there.
The activities are amazing for their development - sensory play, outdoor play and I really value this.
The menu is generally varied and healthy and my children are always engaged at meal times.
The staff and managers are very approachable and if any concerns I feel comfortable raising and discussing them with them. Usually, they take action upon our worries which are reassuring for parents.

Fantastic staff! Made going back to work so easy for me as I was very anxious about leaving my daughter. She settled in so quickly and loves going to the nursery to see the staff and other children. She has learnt so much even family members have commented on how confident and happy my daughter is.

I have had a great experience with the nursery so far. My son has attended since he was 6 months old and is now over 4 yrs old. I have had no reason to change his nursery over the past 4 years. He is happy, engaged and well-taken care of by the lovely team at Co-op.

My son started at this nursery when he was 1 year old and all the teachers here have been a blessing for us. They took care of him and they helped him settle in since the first day. He is enjoying every moment. Great environment, really good and wide spaces for children to play and really nice garden.
A lot of activities for every age as well, happy to see him always busy painting, building or playing outside.
Thank you to all the practitioners! Your job is precious!

We are very happy to have chosen this nursery (Co-op Childcare Southampton) because of the quality of care our child receives. They are always very approachable, very friendly and know our child's care needs very well. The food menu is very good, varied and healthy. The kids spend a lot of time outside

Excellent experience with the nursery over the past two and a half years, I have two children, nearly 2 and nearly 3, both have been in since 6 months old and have thoroughly enjoyed their time and have really close relationships with several members of staff. The changeover of rooms as they grow and
develop is dealt with very well and the facilities and care have always been exceptional.

From the moment I stepped foot here, I have felt extremely at ease and excited for my son to start. His settling in session showed very clearly the compassion and kindness the team have for each child. My son has always been quite a complex baby but it is incredibly reassuring to see/hear how amazing
he is doing on his first week. We have struggled with weaning and to hear that he is eating food is absolutely incredible and certainly a credit to the team. I am really enjoying the app and find it reassuring throughout the day. The nursery is clearly equipped with enough activities and toys as my son slept through the night and we had to wake him up for nursery.
Administration has also been very efficient at sorting any issues we have had with setting up the app or finances!
My partner and I are truly grateful for looking after our son. We cannot wait to see him progress and develop in your care.

My son has a medical issue that has arisen in the last seven months, which makes him mostly non-verbal, and nursery have provided excellent care and help whilst he recovers/improves. His key worker always goes above and beyond, including learning Makaton signs. My son also has a dietary requirement
and there has never been one mistake or issue of the nursery providing incorrect food, which has been a problem for some of my friends at other nurseries with the same need. I am always very impressed and love the daily communication they offer. The activities they provide always sound so fun and I can tell they really take notice of my son's interests and what he responds to even though he isn't always able to communicate with words. I am so grateful to have found such a caring and helpful place.

I can't recommend this setting enough! My son is now in school but comes back to the pre-school room for holiday club each half term. We have very fond memories of the time he has had there over the years and he still loves going in. I enjoy seeing him playing with his nursery friends again and interacting
