Your Co-op Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-school Watford Junction is right in the heart of the centre of the town and is based on one of the platforms of Watford Junction train station, making it ideal for commuting parents and their families.

They are big on safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained. They have 5 Little Pioneers who help to share their core values with their children such as encouraging them to express their feelings to making a difference in the world.

Their ParentZone app keeps parents/carers informed about life at nursery with things like photos from their day, assessments, meals eaten and even toilet training progress! They are big on happy children so they have areas for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and take care of each other and the world.

They are silver eco schools accredited, a programme that sees children lead the way in making little changes that have big environmental differences.

Watford Junction has 4 home rooms within the nursery split into the following age groups: one room for 3 months – 1 year, one room for 1-2 year olds, one room for the 2-3 year olds and one room for the 3-5 year olds. Each room has its own nappy changing facility and children's bathroom area which promotes independence for the children. All rooms have direct access to free flow play allowing access at any time to a large outside play area with a soft surface, grass area and large under cover area.

There is an extensive enclosed garden area which is tastefully sectioned off to provide safe play areas even if all age groups are out at the same time and includes a covered area to enable children to have access to the outdoors in all weather conditions.

Our daughter has been at Co-op Childcare Watford Junction for six months now and she loves it. She's bonded with all the staff in her room and has made friends with the other children too. I was apprehensive when my daughter started, as she was breastfed and co-slept for naps. The staff weren't phased
and helped her adjust quickly to the nursery routine. We are always impressed with the full range of activities they have every day, with lots of variety, plenty of messy play and creative play. They have a great app to update you throughout the day on the key information and you get a detailed monthly report with photos, showing learning progress. The food is exceptional, with no added sugar and lovely hot homemade meals with plenty of vegetables.

Both my children attend here despite us moving further away from Watford. For me, nothing was more important than a safe, loving and fun environment for my precious babies. They have both formed incredible attachments to all their key workers. One member of staff from ladybirds and one member of staff
from preschool have gone above and beyond to support me as an anxious mum. Another member of staff has also got a very special place in my sons heart, we hear about her every day. Thank you to you all for the love, patience and incredible care you give to the children. You are all incredible.

I thoroughly recommend Co-op Childcare Watford Junction. My daughter has attended the nursery full-time from eleven months old. She absolutely loves it and is so excited to go every morning. She has such strong bonds with all the staff in her room. The activities they do each day are so fun, engaging
and educational. I’m amazed at how much she learns each day. Also the updates provided through the app are such a big help. It’s so lovely to read what they have done each day, to know their sleep and nappies too, as well as have pictures and developmental observations monthly too.

My two and a half year-old daughter has been attending this nursery since she was eight months old and she loves going there everyday. She has created great bonds with the teachers in each room that she has been in and has made good friends with the other children. The children are learning a lot, not
only following the Early Years Foundation Stage but also good manners, that my daughter reproduces at home. She has also learnt no running and shouting in the room and covering your mouth with your hand when coughing or sneezing.

Our two year old son has been attending since his first birthday and has been happy there since day one, as have we. Their focus on play and activities makes for a fun day whilst the ongoing learning and guidance for the little ones really brings their development on. The use of the app also helps you
feel more engaged with their day whilst you work and also letting you know how many poo's they have! The last year during the pandemic has been difficult for everybody but the nursery has been open, informative and flexible whenever it can. We have found all the staff very friendly, caring and helpful, particularly during those very nervous first few weeks and later on with tips and advice to help us weary parents at home! Quite happily recommend!

My little boy has attended the nursery since he was nine months old, he is now two and a half years old. He loves his days at nursery. We have seen his development and confidence grow so much. He has made some lovely friends and his social ability has also developed so much. He loves all the staff who
has worked with and cared for him over the years and you can see how comfortable he is with them all. He’s learnt so much from the activities and play that they do at nursery and they encourage the activities he loves. Such as reading, music, numbers and outside activities. The variety of food he receives at nursery is great, always nutritious and it’s well received. I love how there is also a lot of options for the children, including vegetarian. I always feel my child is safe and well looked after at the nursery, thank you!

Our second child is now going to this nursery and we've been extremely happy. Our child has smoothly adapted to nursery life and created strong bonds with the practitioners. They adapted really well to the pandemic and the children have always been well taken care of and were always very happy to go
to nursery. The daily updates through the parent app are useful as well as the monthly assessments. Five stars for food, activities, practitioners and the nursery!

My two (almost three) year old attends the nursery and is our second child to have been cared for by the amazing staff. I feel they coped very well with the pandemic and we have never questioned whether we should continue to send our little boy here. All staff members take the time and make the effort

My daughter started at Co-op Childcare (Little Pioneers) Watford Junction in December 2019 aged 2. She settled well with the help of her amazing key worker. The parent zone app is brilliant. It is updated throughout the day with updates, meals and sometimes pictures. The EYFS framework is used to give
updates on my daughter’s progress with specific examples. This is really helpful to see how she is progressing. Communication is always excellent and this is something I really appreciate as a busy working mum. My daughter is now in pre-school and loves it in her new room. She has made great relationships with her new practitioners and lots of friends. Another feature I love is the outdoor garden space which means the children get to play outside every day. This was what initially made me choose this nursery as my daughter really enjoyed playing outside here when we first visited. The convenience of the location is great too. The staff are warm and friendly and highly recommend this nursery!

My son is so happy at the Co-op Watford. He is always excited to go in, and whenever I go to collect him, he is happily playing and learning.
He enjoys the food immensely and is always excited to tell me what he has eaten.
My son has really enjoyed the activities at the nursery. These have included
yoga, disco, pirate parties and playing in the mud kitchen. There is always a variety of activities on offer, and I like the independence that the staff try to instil in the children.
The staff are friendly and always keep us up to date. They are very good with the children, and this is shown in how much the children all praise their teachers.
I would highly recommend the nursery, and have done to some friends who now send their daughter there. It is clean, safe and very conveniently located in Watford Junction Station.

Every parent wants to know their child is safe, cared for and enjoys nursery, the ladies in the Ladybirds room do that and so much more. They run an efficient ship and we were able to adopt their routine before our daughter joined so that she was already used to the right nap and mealtimes. They have
been superb when dealing with her reflux, they have used initiative and experience to adapt situations, e.g. distracting our very mobile daughter after a bottle to ensure she has some rest time and checking on her in the cot often to ensure any reflux is caught early. Ladybirds room also look after Mum and Dad, we can ask questions and time is given to explaining the answers, as first-time parents we think ourselves lucky to have access to their knowledge, we adopt hints and tips on how to encourage development at home and are confident that the care our daughter gets whilst we are at work is excellent.

Co-operative is a very good nursery. My son has been attending for 6 months now and has made excellent progress. He is confident, happy, is learning every day and has made a few new friends. As a mum, I have complete peace of mind sending him there. I know he is in good hands. There are some nurseries
which might be noted higher by Ofsted but I think the care at The Co-operative is outstanding and the attention given to each child is unique and very good. I'm very pleased and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Both our sons have attended this nursery and both have loved their time there. Our eldest son loved it so much we didn’t question whether to send our youngest there despite there being a nursery attached to my eldest’s school. The nursery is well led, the staff are amazing - like leaving your children
with extended family. We trust them wholeheartedly. Both boys blossomed in their care - becoming sociable and confident boys more than ready for school. I remember how much it pulled on my heartstrings sending our eldest to nursery but choosing this nursery for him, and his brother was one of the best decisions we have made on their behalf.
