Currently, both of my children attend Tiny Toes for three full days a week. One is in the baby room and the other is in the preschool room, and both are thriving and love going to nursery. This is a testament to the staff, who are all lovely people who take a genuine interest in each and every child.
Many of the staff have worked there for many years, which I always think is a good sign. The nursery is family-run and has that family feel to it, which we really like about it. They have always been very accommodating with any requests we've made to help with consistency between home and nursery life - e.g. sleep routines, dietary preferences, etc. The activities are varied and engaging, and the kids come home happy and tired. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!

Tiny Toes Hoddesdon is a wonderful engaging family-feel nursery and child care provider. They are great at providing age-appropriate stimulation, play activities, life-learning activities and extracurricular play for the children. The whole nursery feels like your little one is part of their family
and it is wonderful to see our own little one develop, learn, play and grow with them

We used Tiny Toes for our daughter's childcare when I returned to work when she was 1. She started in 2021 and I was worried about how she would cope as she was quite shy around new people.
The worry wasn't needed Tiny Toes is a lovely caring, nurturing environment run by staff who really care about
your children. She settled in immediately, formed great bonds with her careers and made some great friends. I also loved the fact that Tiny Toes is very involved in the local area and part of love Hoddesdon, we got to join in the live Hoddesdon Parades and other local events. They also offer trips for the kids and offer a real 360 learning environment. I would recommend Tiny Toes to anyone looking for a loving nursery for their child.

The staff are great at providing really fun activities and day trips, which our daughter really enjoys. A massive thank

Tiny Toes is a really lovely nursery. My daughter used to go here from aged 1 and now my son is here and it’s wonderful. It’s like leaving your children with their aunties and uncles. So welcoming and friendly!

My son started Tiny Toes in January 2024 and was having separation anxiety. The staff at Tiny Toes made me as his mum feel comfortable leaving him and he's always come home telling me how great his day has been and how brilliant his teachers have been when he is sad. It's brilliant they use their observations
of what your child enjoys doing and give you ideas to do at home with them.

My son is 4 and in his last year at Tiny Toes and started here when he had just turned 1. I was obviously apprehensive but after the first day he started that disappeared completely. I can’t stress how incredible this nursery and all the staff are. They’re kind, caring, and professional and my son is
so happy here. The support they provide not only to my son but to us both has been nothing short of amazing. I couldn’t recommend this nursery highly enough, my son has progressed so much over the years. Thank you Tiny Toes

The best nursery in town has a real, home away from home feel to it. The staff (the teachers and the management team too) go above and beyond to make all the children feel happy and included. My little girl has learnt so much since she's been going, and the teachers have shown her so much kindness and
care. I wouldn't take her anywhere else and can't wait until my younger child can join her too. The place is clean, has a great outdoor space, the meals provided are well balanced and nutritious, the communication is great and they provide lots of pictures on the app, they're always doing something with the children, taking them on trips and science experiments, they also put a lot of focus on establishing a sense of belonging in the children by being so involved in the community and visiting local places (doing the Christmas parades, visiting the local care home, a florist, the boxing club, etc).

My two children have been attending Tiny Toes for the past 2 years. I can’t express enough how amazing the nursery is. The bond between my children and the staff is so lovely to see and I know my eldest will be devastated when she leaves in August for big school. From activities to trips out, the girls
always have so much to tell me about at the end of the day and are genuinely excited to get back to the nursery the next day. Would give them a 10-star review if I could.

I have two very happy boys at nursery, both joined at around 9 months and my oldest is now 4 and a half. They both really enjoy nursery and always come home talking non stop about all the activities they have done at nursery and armed with drawings and painting. The staff are very good and informative.
I wouldn't hesitate recommending Tiny Toes to future parents.

Both my children started this nursery when they were 6 months old and have been happy members of the extended Tiny Toes family ever since. This lovely family business genuinely cares and cherishes each and every one of the children it looks after and the environment feels more like a big family home
than 'just' a nursery. It's this element that is so important. The staff are interested and dedicated and the activities the children do each and every day really capture their imaginations, help their learning and development and most importantly allow them to be happy care free children. Whether they are learning French, playing super sport, planting sunflowers or singing you can be sure it has been planned with care and purpose. Every thing the team at Tiny Toes seeks to do is child centred and the management have always gone out of their way to help and be as flexible as possible - they really understand what it is to be a working parent.

My son has attended since the beginning of 2016 and has settled in very quickly to a warm and caring team at Tiny Toes. They have encouraged his sociable nature and provide great activities, messy and musical. He enjoys the food and goes back for seconds. Finger print recognition door entry makes it
feel more secure compared to other nurseries. EyLog updates of your child reassures you what fun they're having. Family run making it feel very home away from home.

We chose Tiny Toes because the first room has a ratio of 1:2, rather than 1:3 in most other settings. We also liked their 'all-inclusive' policy so we don't have to provide food, nappies, suncream etc, which you do in some other nurseries.

We've been so happy with our decision. Our daughter is now

2.5 & is doing 2 mornings a week whilst I'm on maternity leave. For financial reasons we needed to reduce her hours & the nursery were happy to accommodate this (temporary) change. So she's still benefitting from football & ballet lessons - no extra charge - which she loves. She also gets a hot lunch - a variety of nutritious meals prepared fresh on site.

We also like that the nursery has two gardens, which the children use every day. One for discovery & planting. The other for more active play.

The staff are friendly, accommodating & get on well with each other, so provide a happy environment for the children. We hope our daughter can attend until she goes to school!

My son has only just started at Tiny Toes but already I am extremely happy with how things are going and the care that has been shown towards my son. All of the staff at Tiny Toes have helped to make me feel completely comfortable leaving my son in their care since day one.

I am very much looking

I have nothing but excellent things to say about Tiny Toes. The staff are amazing and the atmosphere is so welcoming for not only my son, but for myself as a mother. My son loves going and always tells me 'he's had such a lovely time'.
I will now be sending my youngest at 9 months and feel very happy
to leave him in their capable hands.
Everything about this nursery is great even down to the maintenance man.
Such a lovely nursery and cannot recommend it more to anyone looking for somewhere friendly with a warm welcoming atmosphere for their children.

My little girl started at Tiny Toes when she was 6 months old back in 2010, she has gone through every stage at Tiny Toes and is now a Big Feet, I am so happy she has had the support of tiny toes to encourage her in her milestones and prepare her for reception! Tiny Toes has a friendly professional
manner and always put your child first they feel like an extended family and I am so happy they have been a surrogate mum to my child when I was at work, I trust them completely in their job to care for my child and am always met with a warm smile! Keep up the good work Tiny Toes xxx

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.770)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.770) out of 10 for Tiny Toes Nursery (Hoddesdon) is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.870 for Tiny Toes Nursery (Hoddesdon) is calculated as follows: ( (94 Excellents x 5) + (14 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 108 Ratings = 4.87

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Tiny Toes Nursery (Hoddesdon) is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 42 number of registered child places is 8.4, which has been reached with 9 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
