My son joined Kiddi Caru Day Nursery in February this year and the team that care for him on the days he is in are outstanding. The nursery, as a whole, was extremely welcoming, I felt anxious in the first weeks he was there but the reassurance from the nursery was more than I ever expected.
We have
brilliant communication throughout the days he attends and always a detailed update when he is picked up. If for any reason I have had to ask the team to do something in particular for my child they do it without any issues. Any questions or queries I have had are answered on the spot without any hesitation and I believe that the team within the nursery care for the children just as much as we do as parents.
All staff are super friendly, kind and informative and would highly recommend the nursery, your children will be made to feel completely at home.

As a new user of the nursery, I’ve been very impressed with how quickly the staff have got to know and understand my son and help us to help him settle in. The facilities are interesting, and he regularly brings home crafts tied to early years objectives. Communication through the app is clear and thorough.
Overall, the staff are kind, skilled and really invested in the children.

Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Hitchin has been an amazing place for our son to begin his nursery journey. From a difficult start (with him being upset to be in a new place), it was o only a couple of weeks before he was excitedly going to the team's arms and coming home full of smiles. We love the utilisation
of apps to communicate with us, meaning we get a full rundown of his day (sleep, food, toileting and activities), and the observations are our favourite; pictures of him doing activities or learning. The team also thoughtfully help our son to make things like valentines cards for mummy and daddy, which are so beautiful and a good show of their passion for our children and family. Our team have changed a little over the months, but the current main contacts, all have great relationships with our son, and root for him (as excited as us when he reaches milestones like walking). Highly recommend. (We are in Otters).

We have had a wonderful experience with Kiddi Caru. They were very accommodating when we were making plans to join and also great at communicating. My 18-month-old son has really enjoyed both Otters and Hedgehogs rooms. They are so reassuring at drop-offs, even when our son is upset. Would highly recommend

Our child has attended Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Hitchin for almost a year since 1-year-old and has grown and developed so wonderfully under their care.
The staff are great at meeting his individual needs and providing information on his days and activities. He has a consistent key worker and they do
a wide variety of activities. He has settled incredibly well thanks to the lovely relationships he's formed with the team and he leaves with the biggest smile on his face each day!
The management team have worked so hard over the last year and a bit on standards and resolving issues flagged in their November 2021 Ofsted and are now rated 'Good'. The manager who returned from maternity leave last year has led this wonderfully and we have no concerns.
My only wish would be to see the outside area get a bit of a refresh if possible. It's adequate, but has lots of potential!
I'd recommend Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Hitchin highly to any parent looking to send their child to nursery.

Kiddi Caru Day Nursery staff have given our son a really good first experience of nursery. He’d only been cared for by parents and grandparents until the age of three so it’s been a big change, but staff were sensitive to that, and I was impressed by how quickly they managed to make him feel safe and
engaged. It was also really reassuring to go in to visit and find such a cheerful group of children.

My son and daughter both go to Kiddi Caru Day Nursery and are incredibly happy there. The team that works there are incredibly supportive, and are really friendly and caring towards the children. Both of my children love going and run in each day. A range of activities are offered which they both seem
to enjoy and the team are focused on helping them learn and develop. I would highly recommend.

Very lovely staff and our son is very happy at Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Hitchin. If they could get that indoor play centre reopened, it would be 10 out of 10 as currently, that's a massive waste of space that could be utilised. I could do with a few more educational toys in the over two's room and problem-solving
toys too. However, I would definitely recommend the nursery.

My daughter has been going to Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Hitchin since August 2021 and she has come a long way. She does still get upset when I drop her off but I have been told she does enjoy it when she is there. The staff I have met in the otter's room are very friendly and welcome my little one when
she arrives.

Our daughter has attended Kinders Mill since November 2020. She joined during lockdown but despite not being able to physically go in with her she settled so quickly and has always been very happy going in. Her development has come such a long way thanks to the help of all the staff and all the activities
that they do. They are really supportive of whatever challenge your child is going through (changes in naps, potty training, etc).
The nursery has had a tough year with changes in management and a recent Ofsted inspection, however, I am really pleased with all the work that has been done to address any concerns the inspection raised and I would not hesitate to recommend the nursery to other parents.

My daughter attends preschool at Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Hitchin. The team is passionate, knowledgeable and nurturing. They put on a range of different activities throughout the day and give children lots of autonomy to choose their own activities. They also have the door open with secure access to the
garden all year round when not raining, it's great that the kids get fresh air and that space to play. All of the staff are incredibly warm and genuinely care about the emotional and developmental needs of the children in their care. The last year or so has been difficult for the nursery on an administrative/management side - but this is getting better now the manager is back from maternity leave and the transition to Kiddi Caru has bedded in - but this does not detract for me from the excellent care provided by the nursery/preschool staff throughout the facility.

My son loves attending - he is very happy when I drop him off and pick him up. All of the staff have been really good, caring and honest. The handover discussions are detailed. I feel happy knowing my son is safe and looked after properly.

My daughter has attended Kiddi Caru Hitchin since June 2021, during which time the education, care, support, and attention she's received has been excellent. She is excited to attend every day and loves to see her favorite team members and friends.


It would be fair to say that the nursery has had

a challenging past year, with changes in management (while the permanent manager was on maternity leave) which I understood to mean that the team weren't always getting the support they needed. However, in the last few months, an overall improvement in their general organisation and ability to provide a full curriculum (through having adequate staffing levels) has been evident.


The determination and tenacity of the team at Kiddi Caru Hitchin is impressive, and their care for my daughter cannot be faulted. I would wholly recommend this nursery to other parents.

Please note that the Ofsted rating for this nursery is now inadequate. Which fits completely with our own experience of placing our son here for a short time. I feel strongly that parents should be aware of this.

Our experience with the nursery couldn't be more positive. They are very caring, helpful and responsive and make sure to involve parents in all activities. Our little had previously been to two other nurseries and it was really upsetting to leave him there as he was not happy. He then started at Kiddi
Caru and he is happy all the time. He is excited to go to nursery every day, runs inside as soon as we arrive there and is always happy at the end of the day. Sometimes he even prepares his shoes on weekends and holidays, hoping to go to nursery. It makes such a difference to leave him in a place where it is so clear he is happy. The attention he has from all of the lovely staff has also made a positive impact on his development. I definitely recommend this nursery!

My daughter started attending the nursery in January and settled in straight away. The staff were great with getting my daughter settled in. The nursery do a lot of activities with my daughter and she is always so excited to get to nursery! Most drop offs I don’t even get a bye she just runs in. My
daughter has allergies and the nursery are great at making sure she doesn’t have anything she shouldn’t. The lady in the office is great, she always responds very quickly with any questions and queries.
All-round very impressed with the nursery and the main thing is my daughter loves going!

Our son started at Kinders Mill when he was 8 months old and is now 2 years old. He absolutely loves going to nursery and learns so much when he is there. His talking and singing is amazing and we just love hearing a new song every day when he comes home. The staff are so accommodating and happy and
keep us well informed about everything that he does during his day. They were happy to use our cloth nappies and have also supported him through potty training. We feel so happy knowing that he is safe and enjoying every day. With covid lockdown he would not have been able to socialise with his friends, so knowing he is getting this experience at nursery has been brilliant. The safety measures in place have been great.
