Harpenden Day Nursery is set in a beautiful, old, detached property, in a quiet area just outside of Harpenden town centre.

The nursery prides itself on creating a home from home feel for the children and families. The younger children are provided with activities filled with awe and wonder and given opportunities for exploring.

The older children have access to learning opportunities that encourage creativeness and build upon readiness for school. They frequently engage in active learning whereby they will learn the phonetic letters of the alphabet as well as beginning to understand that numbers carry quantity.

The garden offers a holistic environment covering different aspects and endless opportunities such as puddles for jumping in, natural materials, gardening and investigating bugs in the mini beast hotel.

Healthy, warm and nutritious meals are prepared daily by the nursery cook and support the healthy growth and development of each child. Specific dietary requirements can also be catered for.

We are so pleased that we decided to send our boys to Harpenden Day Nursery. It is such a lovely place with fabulous staff who really get to know the children and really care about their wellbeing. We are constantly impressed with the range of activities on offer for the children. Our boys have made
great progress since starting there. The beautiful outside space is also a great bonus. A fantastic nursery- would highly recommend.

Harpenden Day Nursery is a warm, caring environment and the staff are just fantastic. Our daughter has thrived since joining six months ago and she absolutely loves her days at nursery. Her key workers are always attentive, taking time to give an overview of my daughters day each day at pick-up. We
really enjoy having access to the parent app, which gives daily updates on food, nap times and nappies, as well as observations and targets. We are so happy with our decision to send our daughter to Harpenden Day Nursery and would whole-heartedly recommend it to friends and family.

My son has been with Harpenden Day Nursery since July 2020 and has been incredibly happy and settled. He is preschool age and has clearly been stretched and engaged in what he is doing each morning. The setting itself is small and nurturing , with very attentive staff who remain a constant for the children
in their care. Two members of staff have a formidable management team and have so much experience between them, which shows in the organisation of the nursery itself. Would highly recommend this setting to parents and carers.

My two and a half year old started in November 2020. My daughter has a slow to warm temperament and I knew she would be stressed at a big nursery. We chose this nursery for it's small, homely setting and the small room sizes. The staff were very understanding of her shyness and difficultly settling.
They increased the frequency of settling sessions to compensate for her needs, which was hugely appreciated and reassuring. She is now thriving and her confidence increases every week. I was told today she's like a new child compared to when she first started. At pick up I'm always told what specific activities they did, exactly how much she ate and there's always time for any questions. It's never rushed. You can see through the window that all the children are happy. There's a big grassy garden used daily. Pictures are posted sporadically on an app with very detailed observation. The communication with management by email and phone is always prompt. They've done well to support my daughter's potty training too.

We are so happy with the experience so far. We had our settling in sessions at a time when things were really strange and were so reassured by the manager and all the staff at Lynmore House. The communication and procedures made us feel totally comfortable with putting our child into nursery whilst
he is still so young. He has settled in well so far, and we have been kept up to date via the app as to what he has been up to throughout the day. We would definitely recommend the nursery, and the staff are all lovely.

All the staff are very friendly and helpful at Lynmore Nursery. My daughter joined the nursery in July and has settled in so well. My daughter's key person always gives a detailed summary of her day, what she's done, how much she's eaten etc and my daughter already lights up when she sees her making
the handover a positive experience. The school days option of 9am - 3:30pm is fantastic and suits our arrangements perfectly. I would highly recommend the nursery, I believe the care given to my daughter is outstanding.

My son has settled very well into Lynmore. The staff are caring and will meet my child's needs. Every time I come to collect my child, the staff really tell you in detail about how his day has been and what they have been learning about. I am so happy to see his development grow by viewing his daily
diary each evening to see the pictures and observations. Overall I would most defiantly recommend this nursery because it is a homely environment and I can really see my child is happy there.
