I have 2 kids at Small World Nursery and both of them love staying there, the staff are very friendly and kind, we never had any issues and the managers always try to help us with things. I really like the app because it allows me to see my children's progress and what they do there. I feel safe leaving
them there because I know they are happy and well!

My one-year-old settled in well and enjoyed all the fun activities provided. He has learned and played well at this nursery. The teachers are very much loving and caring. We also find the app that tells us his routine particularly useful. We can't be more satisfied with everything here.

Small World is an excellent nursery. The main reason is the level of care, attention and interest they take in my children. They really get to know the children well.
I have always felt my kids were well cared for, the staff are excellent and the management is also! The management team are great, they
know what's happening in every room and they also know the kids just as well as the rest of the staff. They are very respectful to us as parents, how we parent our kids and how that fits into nursery life. The communication and feedback about my children and what they do at nursery are always excellent. On a practical note, they also get great healthy, varied food at the nursery!
The educational content is great and age-appropriate! My eldest often talks about things he's learnt and they clearly recognised both my boy's strengths and other areas they may need more support. Mainly my kids love going to nursery and come out beaming despite them being there for long days whilst I'm at work.

I don't know what we would have done without Small World Nursery! The staff are fantastic and the support they give to the children is amazing. My son will be leaving in July, he has been there since he was two. He absolutely loves it there and is very upset he is going. We will miss everyone at Small
World Nursery. My son has SEN (Special Educational Needs) and they have done their utmost to help his development, he has come a long way. I can not thank them enough. I highly recommend this nursery.

Wonderful staff but terrible management and run-down building.
No concept of customer service and total lack of communicational skills. Would never recommend Small World due to the management. My son attended the nursery for nearly three years and we had to move him due to the incompetence of the
nursery manager.

I have two children attending the nursery and I am extremely pleased with the care they are receiving. My children's confidence has grown, they enjoy the activities and engage with all the staff. The atmosphere is great, all the staff are welcoming and my children always look forward to going to nursery
as every day is a new learning experience.

I feel my children are safe and their individual needs are met and supported throughout this new "adventure" in their lives.

My boy has been going here for about 6 months and we are extremely happy with the care the nursery staff give him. The staff really work with you on ensuring the little ones are settled and happy. The nursery is a light, airy and welcoming place and there is always a friendly reception. It's very professional
but also very personal. I can't sing their praises enough.

I have two children who attend the nursery. One had health problems as a baby and has food aversion and the other has multiple food allergies.

Small World have been AMAZING. Both children are incredibly well looked after, happy and fed well (they all eat the same as their friends but they cook

separately for them with substitute problems).

They have themes and activities planned and teach them good skills (brushing teeth, drinking from a cup without a lid, putting their own shoes on).

Both children have great bonds with the staff.

I honestly can't fault the nursery. My eldest has been attending for a year now and would definitely recommend.

Current Review Score: 9.0 (9.042)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.0 (9.042) out of 10 for Small World Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 5.000 for Small World Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (48 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 48 Ratings = 5

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.042 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Small World Nursery is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 30 number of registered child places is 6. 4 Positive Reviews ÷ 6 = 0.667

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
