Our son has been at this branch for a few months and he has grown in confidence and is so happy here. The staff are lovely, a positive greeting in the morning and a concise update on picking him up.

My daughter has settled back into nursery since the first lockdown easily. |She enjoys going and speaks about her keyworker and her friends. She always leaves happy and we can tell that she is learning lots of new everyday things and her skills in all areas are improving each day.

My daughter has been coming since nine months old and enjoys it so much. So many great activities and so much learning. All staff are so helpful. As key workers, we have really relied on them and they have been so great. Couldn't recommend them enough.

Our two year old has been at Busy Bees since she was six months. We have always found the staff friendly and caring. Our daughter goes into nursery every day so happy and comes skipping out with great stories of her day's adventures. We would highly recommend the nursery.

Our son was at a nursery for three years before we moved house and since he's started at Busy Bees at Maidstone Hospital he has gained confidence in himself and does so much learning. Busy Bees is more expensive but it's worth it to see your child settled and enjoy attending. Thank you all, especially
in the current climate (covid 19).

I'm really pleased with the Busy Bees at Maidstone Hospital. Our son has been going since he was 9 months old, and he's 2 and a half years old now. He looks forward to his nursery days. The staff are friendly and attentive, activities seem to be often and varied. And our son's development skills are
improving all the time. Overall very happy.

I am very happy with the nursery. My child is very happy to attend. Good variety of food served. Staff are friendly and caring as well as good child feedback given. The outside space is great which was a big factor in why I chose this nursery.

I have been very impressed with the care my daughter has received at Maidstone Hospital Busy Bees. She is happy to go in every morning and seems to have a very enjoyable time. Seeing pictures posted on the app helps to keep us informed of all she is doing. The staff always seem happy to be there and
genuinely care about the children. Choosing a nursery was an emotional challenge but I feel that we have got it right by choosing Busy Bees.
When she was in the baby room she formed a very strong bond with her key worker which helped her feel secure. Now she has moved up to the next room she has continued to develop her confidence.
Their organisation around the Covid-19 restrictions has been excellent and understanding of our anxieties as parents.
Thank you to all the staff for looking after my little girl so well. I would highly recommend the nursery to anyone looking for a childcare provider for their child.

Both our daughters have been attending for over two years now. The staff are always friendly and both girls really like it, sometimes the youngest does not want to leave. Lots of activities for them and good relationships with the teachers. Our oldest has just left for school now but still takes fondly
of the nurse.

Since starting at Busy bees in September 2019 (aged 2) my daughter's confidence grew with the staff who enabled her to flourish and become herself. She has now moved to the foundation where she is excited to go every day, learning new experiences and topics from Space to Halloween. Through Covid, we
were sent ideas to help our children at home and messages so they could keep in touch. I would recommend this nursery.

Both of my children attended busy bees (Maidstone hospital) from 6 months right up to preschool. One of my boys is still there, I have been so impressed with the nursery from day one and think they have handled the pandemic incredibly well. Every member of staff I have come across has been friendly,
welcoming and genuinely interested in my boys. They love their key workers and enjoy going to nursery in the mornings! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family. My children have made lasting memories here, as have I.

We have sent our child to Busy Bees for three years now. The service provided all the way through his three years have been first class. This has been highlighted lately with their first-class handling of the COVID situation. Great nursery, would highly recommend.

My son has attended Busy Bees at Maidstone Hospital for 18 months and thoroughly enjoys it. His speech and development increased rapidly once he started and the nursery are keen to encourage this, often conducting observations for parents to read on the app. The staff are always friendly and attentive
and my son often comes out of nursery talking about his key worker. He has developed some lovely friendships and cannot wait to get to nursery which makes me confident he is happy while left in other care. Overall, I would recommend the nursery to anyone.

Had no issues, very friendly staff. Both our girls go there and love going (ages 2 and 4). Very tidy before covid (not been in since due to rules). They mention nursery every day and look forward to their next visit. My 11-year-old with additional needs also went to Busy Bees but in Allington and they
were excellent too.

My daughter has been going to Busy Bees Maidstone Hospital since she was just over 1, right from the beginning they have made the whole process easy for both her and me. Like any Mum, I was nervous about this next stage of motherhood (going back to work) but Busy Bees made the transition really easy
and really quickly it was clear that she absolutely loves nursery. The staff are all so friendly and really care about each child and their individual needs/development. The activities are varied, food always sounds yummy and well my daughter always eats it all so it must be good! Truthfully I can not fault them, even during the last few months, they remained open for key worker children, extremely nerve-wracking time for all but the standard and commitment from the nursery and staff didn’t change! We love being part of the Busy Bees family!

Staff are brilliant. Really nice and approachable. My children have progressed a lot since they began attending this nursery. Couldn’t recommend them enough. Really decent. COVID measures were on point too. Protected everyone really well.

Our son has really settled into nursery with the care and attention of Busy Bees at Maidstone Hospital. The ladies really care about his development and wellbeing. Like any parent, I was worried about being away from my son but Busy Bees made me feel at ease from day one. Keep doing a great job!

Starting nursery for my twin boys was very stressful and even "scary" experience. It was the unknown that worried us how they will cope, how they will be with complete strangers, how we as parents will too.
But wow, it was easy with everyone here who helped us to settle. I was amazed how easily the
boys took everything and now 6 weeks in we even want to come in or come back after we've left. So any new starters don't worry. Everyone knows what they are doing.

Current Review Score: 8.6 (8.603)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.6 (8.603) out of 10 for Busy Bees Maidstone Hospital is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.590 for Busy Bees Maidstone Hospital is calculated as follows: ( (52 Excellents x 5) + (28 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 83 Ratings = 4.59

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.013 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Maidstone Hospital is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 112 number of registered child places is 22.4. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 22.4 = 0.313

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Centre Director

Hello, I am Emma and am the Centre Director for Maidstone Hospital.

I have been working at Busy Bees since May 2013 and have supported a number of settings. I was the Centre Director at Brompton until August 2021 when we achieved an 'Outstanding' Judgement with Ofsted in January 2019.

I have moved across to Maidstone Hospital to embark on a new venture which I am very excited about.

I have a level 4 in childcare and management and have been in a managerial role across other settings since March 2004. I am dedicated, hardworking and very passionate about what I do and love sharing that vision in the setting with the team to ensure the little people we care about and nurture every day are getting the absolute best they deserve.

I have a beautiful daughter who is growing up too fast but makes me proud every day how she copes with her type 1 Diabetes since being diagnosed at the age of 5. It just goes to show the strength and determination these little people have, developing into their own characters which I am proud to be a part of.
