My son who is just over one absolutely loves nursery.. he has a mild hearing loss and the staff are so wonderful, supportive and helps with his learning despite his hearing loss. My son is developing amazingly and isn't behind in any areas and I believe that is down to the wonderful staff at the nursery.
The food provided to the children is so varied and lovely. Can't fault the care here given at this nursery. I also love the app and it's great to see pictures and updates during the day of what he is up to.

My daughter is in Bumblebee Room. She really loves it. All the key persons are amazing but also really connect with the children. They always do fun, exciting activities which have all the children focused. They also change them so they are always 'fresh'.

The only problem is the finance team member

changes, but also receiving 2 months amounts on 1 statement which becomes really confusing.

The nursery has a lovely, friendly atmosphere. The staff genuinely care about the children and communication at the end of the day (which includes a short paragraph in their book) is excellent.

There always seems to be an exciting activity going on, ducklings being hatched, flowers being grown and

both my children have been very happy.

I could not rate Busy Bees Eureka Park highly enough. It is the best childcare decision we have ever made to put our daughter into nursery here. The care is amazing, our daughter feels loved, cared for and always comes out happy. I truly feel as if the staff love what they do and always act in the best
interests of the children.

My daughter used to be terrible when dropping her off and would cling to me and cry but they always knew how to make her feel comfortable and calm in order to make it an easier experience and I left knowing she'd be OK.

She has developed hugely in her time at the nursery with regards to speech, self-care, numeracy, social skills - just about everything. I would recommend anyone to enrol their children at this nursery.

I feel that it dangerous for children to cross two car parks to get into the car if there are no parking spaces in the car park. A good idea will be to having a barrier for BB parent's cars only. Not having a space when collecting a child is very unacceptable. Also will be helpful to have automatic
door system as will help parents with a pushchair.

Thank you for your review of our nursery. As our nursery is located on the Eureka Leisure Park, the car park is shared with other businesses so patrons of the other businesses also have access to the same spaces that we do. We work very closely with Land Securities and the site managers to ensure the safety of our children and have recently introduced a drop off bar and additional calming measures are in place to improve the drop-off/pick up experience for our parents. We also have designated parent and child bays on the kerb side.

The automatic door is a great idea, however, this would compromise the security of the nursery allowing anyone and everyone access without challenge. Currently, the system whereby we have to physically let each individual through into the main nursery means that we can thoroughly control who is coming and going and protect the safety of our children.

If you have any further concerns please do not hesitate to contact our nursery manager. Kind Regards.

My daughter has been attending for just over a year and she loves it. The staff are friendly and helpful, and they always organise activities with the children, from reading, dancing, painting. Recently, they introduced a children's day book and I think this is a wonderful idea. It gives parents the
opportunity to write about any activities they did with the child during the evenings and weekends. I am very happy with her development.

My son goes to Busy Bees Eureka Place, Ashford full time, he loves going. The staff really know the children well, they are not just a number. They plan activities around my child's interests but also have an overall theme that changes. This Christmas they had a jam packed month with so many lovely
activities which my son thrived with. He has never sung before but this year he learnt carols and songs for the nativity play and it was magical. Staff keep me well informed about his day and the admin team always provide an excellent service too.

Generally, I've been very pleased with the nursery, the staff and facilities. I think the introduction of the children's book which provides an update about their day has been an excellent idea and I really value my child's key worker who has a real interest in him and me and is always prepared to listen.
I'm not so impressed that we have to pay for bank holidays as the nursery is not open or the flexibility to change days on occasion if my child has hospital appointments.

Current Review Score: 7.9 (7.889)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 7.9 (7.889) out of 10 for Busy Bees Ashford Eureka Park is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.4 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.500 for Busy Bees Ashford Eureka Park is calculated as follows: ( (23 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 36 Ratings = 4.5

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.389 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Ashford Eureka Park is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 108 number of registered child places is 21.6. 3 Positive Reviews ÷ 21.6 = 0.139

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
