It's great to hear about your positive experience with the Butterflies room staff and their support during your son's transition to nursery life. It's completely natural for any parent to feel anxious about this phase, but the caring and attentive approach from the ladies in the baby room truly made a difference. Their dedication to making both you and your son comfortable is commendable.
The fact that your son has developed such an affectionate bond with the girls in the baby room speaks volumes about the quality of care they provide. While it's bittersweet that he'll be transitioning to the busy bees' room in September, the memories and positive experiences he's had with the butterflies room staff will undoubtedly stay with him.

Thank you for submitting this review and sharing your experience. We've always had the view that our family-run business provides the care a family would expect so the work you describe as "above and beyond" is an example of what we provide when it matters. Years ago we had a motto stating "You work, we play" because we were aware that people working whilst their children were with us got on with their days more easily if they knew what their children were doing and that they were happy. It's easier these days than it used to be to share photographs directly!

Hi, my name is Sarah-Lou and I started Pennies at Hockers Lane in 2001 as a Level 3 Practitioner. Before joining Pennies I worked for another family run company and during this time I completed a Level 2 and 3 NVQ in Childcare and Education. In 2005, when Newnham Court opened, I decided to take a new post there. During my time at Pennies I have gained experience working with children from 3 months old to 11 years old. I have also had 2 children of my own, Millie and Jake. In 2016 I took on a Development Coordinator role at Pennies which allowed me to work with all 3 nurseries and to support each setting with their CPD. I’ve now come back to Hockers Lane as Deputy manager.
