The Nursery at St Lawrence College Junior School provides a happy, secure and caring start for its youngest pupils. Families are welcomed into the St Lawrence College community and Nursery pupils are able to enjoy the many benefits of being part of the larger school and having use of its exceptional facilities, including an indoor heated swimming pool.

With a qualified Early Years’ Teacher at the helm, the new-look smaller, high quality Nursery offers the perfect mix of developing core literacy and numeracy skills alongside plenty of creativity and imaginative outdoor adventures. The smaller class size enables individual attention in a calm, focussed environment to ensure that all Nursery pupils hit the ground running when they move up to Reception.

A freshly-prepared hot lunch is available as part of every session along with the teaching of good table manners!

St Lawrence College Nursery is a wonderfully kind, caring and nurturing environment. It is often a difficult transition for both child and parent but knowing our child is so well looked after by experienced staff in a positive educational environment is extremely reassuring. There is a lot to get involved
with as a parent too so you can really feel a part of the school community.

This nursery is the best I have seen in the area. My daughter is very happy there. The staff are very attentive and the activities and facilities are excellent. I am kept well informed. The classrooms have such a wonderful atmosphere. I am so happy to have found it!

Our daughter joined the nursery in September. We love the variety of subjects she is exposed to and the frequent opportunities to get outside, regardless of the weather. The up-to-date information and photos on the app are an amazing feature, allowing us to see day-to-day activities and promote more
conversations about her school day. All staff are extremely welcoming and have nurtured our daughter, building her confidence each day.

Welcoming, friendly and lots of creative activities. The online journal is a great way to see what your child has been doing throughout the day, and you can discuss their day with them as you have more information.
Lots of structure which my child excelled in as she likes tasks/boundaries/activities.
The expectation of children is extremely high. For example, they expect them to participate in PE, French lessons etc, whilst being supported by their core teachers they see every day.
Access to the forest school is great, which means they can play outside, in the mud kitchen and have different scenery.
All staff inside and outside the nursery are smiling/polite/welcoming.

My son has been attending St Lawrence College Junior School since January 2023. He has grown in leaps and bounds since being there. He was quite anxious about leaving me, but the teachers in the nursery class showed him so much kindness, gentleness and nurture. Now, he happily goes in each morning.
The learning environment is second to none. The activities the teachers plan are hugely creative and push my son to meet his potential in every area of learning.
We are amazed at the diverse curriculum: from French to forest school to PE with specialist teachers -what a lucky boy!
My son has also really benefited from the extended community at the school. He enjoys playing with the older children on the playground and already knows the other teachers in the pre-prep team. I know this will stand him in good stead as he moves up through the school.
We couldn’t be happier with the nursery at St Lawrence College Junior School and how the fabulous teachers have spent so much time getting to know my son and getting the best out of him!

We recently immigrated from South Africa with our three-year-old daughter, and St Lawrence College was that place that made us feel so settled. The school was so welcoming right from the get-go, from dealing with the admin staff all the way to a meeting and engaging with the head of the junior school;
everyone we have dealt with has been extremely professional, helpful and supportive. Most importantly, our daughter felt right at home and has really grown in the short time she has been there; it’s hard to get her to leave when fetching her in the afternoons. Couldn’t have asked for a better environment for our daughter.

Excellent experience with friendly, welcoming teachers. The child felt at home from day one and has enjoyed a variety of learning experiences and outings.
The children get to experience very practical life lessons critical for children, from swimming to learning about the country and how to cross the

St Lawrence Nursery is simply wonderful. Absolutely everything is outstanding; I truly couldn’t provide a better review. We moved from London, and I was convinced that I couldn’t find a nursery as good, but I couldn’t have been more wrong.
The sense of community and belonging is at the heart of St
Lawrence Nursery. The setting is gorgeous, the key workers are trained teachers, and the environment is loving and inclusive. Each week my son has swimming lessons, learns French, goes to Forest School, has music lessons, drama lessons and does physical education, and it’s all included in the fee. And what continues to amaze me is the price; it is so affordable/competitive when compared to most mainstream nurseries. Five stars all around!

My son started in September 2022 and has had the most incredible year at the nursery of St Lawrence College. Both teachers work hard to create a broad and wonderful environment where the children are continuously learning through play. The level of care is so nurturing, and we have watched our son flourish

The nursery at St Lawrence has been fantastic. The family atmosphere, amazing spaces and appropriate schedule have helped to nurture and encourage my son to adjust to school life, which was particularly challenging after lockdown. The teachers have been patient and supportive when he has required additional
understanding and care. Having the opportunity to learn outdoors at the forest school has been ideal, and it’s been great to see him join in with so much through the app. A great all-round environment.

Our son had the most amazing start at St Lawrence nursery.
He has such wonderful teachers that go above and beyond to take care of him; they put so much effort into everything that they do, and it really shows.
Our son is so precious to us, so we wanted him to go somewhere extra special in his early
years, and St Lawrence nursery is certainly that.
Thank you for all the magic.
I'm so proud of how far he has come. I've had several parents approach me and tell me that our son had helped their child settle in, and couldn't thank him enough - little love. He will miss you all.
Thank you for everything your staff did throughout lockdown, it was such a worrying time, and they put themselves out there every day to look after our children, putting themselves at risk; so heroic and so unselfish of you all.

The St Lawrence College Nursery is always such a vibrant welcoming and homely environment.
