Sunshine Corner Nursery is run by a well-qualified, kind and caring team who make the most of indoor and outdoor learning environments in order to support positive early years learning.

The nursery offers 57 places a day and all professionals are trained to pursue key EYFS objectives.

Part of the Early Years Alliance, the nursery offers a friendly and secure approach to learning for children aged from birth to five years old.

A team of caring, friendly and qualified staff help each child develop at their own pace in a safe, friendly and fun environment and actively encourage parents to become involved in the life of the nursery.

Sunshine Corner is located in Kent, Canterbury, and was assessed as 'Good' by Ofsted on January 10th 2023.

The nursery is open from 7.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, 51 weeks of the year (closed 1 week for Christmas), excluding bank holidays and three staff training days.

The children have been celebrating World Book Day and cultural events.

Impact on children's learning

• Learning about how different cultures have different celebrations and celebrating Martisor, the beginning of Spring.
• Being creative and making their own stories for World Book Day.
• Building on fine motor skills, communication and language and developing imaginations.

The children are still extending their learning by learning how stories are written and have and have a children's author coming to visit.

This is a really good nursery.
The staff are always helping children's imagination and always have different activities to do. They are very supportive in all ways. They have good communication and really do care about the children. It is like a home away from an away environment. All the staff are
so lovely, and the children are always very happy.

Sunshine Corner Nursery is a great nursery! My son is cared for very well, and the staff provide great support to his learning needs and development. I enjoy receiving regular updates on how he is getting on during the day, sometimes with pictures, and if there are any concerns, I am contacted. A perfectly
run nursery. Would defiantly recommend to others.

We have found that my grandaughter loved going here; she has proven herself to be a much-loved character both inside and outside of pre-school. We believe Sunshine Corner Nursery really does have the best interests and staff to help start young people find their inner selves and then flourish into the

My son has attended since he was 4 months old and is now 20 months. During that time, he has had a range of health and dietary requirements. All the staff take the time to ask me about it and what they can do to support in the nursery. They regularly check in for any new updates or ways they can support
him. I am kept up to date with all the wonderful things he does at nursery. Both I and he are made to feel welcome by both the staff in his room and in others.

Lovely, friendly staff and nothing is too much trouble. My son loves the nursery, especially the garden. Always clean whenever I have been inside. He has come on leaps and bounds since starting there and is going to miss it very much when he moves up to the primary.

Amazing people! Excellent communication with the nursery staff! Great support and advice with my personal problems and issues as a first-time Mum, teaching me how to stop breastfeeding without it being a bid drama for my little one, and discussing food and sleep!
We can see her development clearly
from day to day. She comes home saying or doing things we have never said or done with her!
Also, she absolutely adores going to nursery, and I can see that from her lack of care to her Mum in tears outside of the nursery and her excitement running into the nursery every day!
It’s been an amazing journey so far!

My daughter has been attending Sunshine Corner for the previous three years. I cannot express enough how much she loved attending this nursery, and we have even increased her days because she wanted to spend more time there. The staff are very nurturing, and it is evident they know every child extremely
well and cater for each child's interests. The communication between the nursery and parents is fantastic, and we love seeing the pictures they regularly send home. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Both my boys go to this wonderful nursery. My eldest since he was 6-months-old he is now 3, and my youngest started this January, he is now 1. I don’t think I have enough words that can praise this nursery and the amazing staff that work there enough.
They know each child individually and help them
flourish and grow. They also know and take the time to speak to parents; they really get to know each family.
The activities they do with the children are great and help them learn as well as have fun, the boys come home absolutely shattered and normally covered in some kind of paint, glue or mud, which means they just have had the best time.
My boys have benefited from this nursery so much, and it has helped mould them into the lovely children they both are.
The staff are fantastic and always there to help or lean on in any way they can.
I would recommend this nursery a 100-times over. I wish everyone could send their children there as it really is just wonderful.

Our daughter has attended the nursery for the past 3-years, and we are extremely happy with the service and care the nursery provides. The staff are always so helpful, friendly and welcoming; they really are the biggest asset to the nursery. There is great communication on the app and in person if needed.
The outside area is a great space for the children to explore and learn with a variety of activities set up by the staff each week. We are looking forward to our son attending soon, knowing he will be in a caring environment where he can thrive.

Sunshine Corner Nursery is an amazing nursery. My son came to this nursery 5-years ago, and my daughter is currently in the baby room. I wouldn’t send my children anywhere else. My daughter loves going to nursery, and her face lights up when we talk about people from nursery at home. The staff are lovely
and always welcome you with a smile on their face and are a pleasure to talk to. The baby room staff are excellent at giving me updates about my daughter throughout the day when she is there.
The nursery has an amazing outdoor space in all areas and a good range of resources for the children to play and use their imagination.

My daughter has been at Sunshine Corner for almost 2-years, and during that time, she absolutely thrived from the quality of care given by all the staff at Sunshine Corner. The nursery uses effective communication methods to ensure the parent-nursery relationship is maintained as best as possible. My
daughter’s well-being needs are always met, and the staff are very accommodating and understanding. They are always professional and knowledgeable and always greet you with a friendly face. I believe their wonderful ethos and enriched environment are a big part of what makes the environment so welcoming for the children and why my daughter has always been so happy here.

Since starting at Sunshine Corner, at the beginning of the year, our son has always received excellent care. The staff are wonderful and very friendly. This nursery is literally the best. More than I could have asked for!
My son does the most amazing activities every time he is there, which is only two mornings a week. He isn't just left to play, they are constantly setting themes for each week and have planned activities around this every day! He
comes home super excited about everything he has done; baking, painting, beat hunts and more!
They really make the effort to get to know your child and their character. I know everything my boy does, what he has eaten, when he has been to the toilet, all within minutes via their app.
I get regular app updates and highlights for my son from what he has achieved or the stories he has told. They enjoy all his personality traits and help him learn and grow every day!
The staff really are amazing and really do care! I am so so glad we choose for our boy to go to Sunshine Corner!

My daughter has been going to Sunshine Corner since she was 10-months. She absolutely loves it there, and I'm always impressed with the number of activities she gets to do at nursery. I also like all of the updates we get on the app, especially the pictures! The observations are also detailed and are
lovely to read; I love hearing about how my daughter is progressing. The food options are always diverse and healthy, my daughter always eats well at Sunshine. I recently requested for one of my daughter's days to be changed, and this request was accommodated very quickly. Any questions I have are answered well, and if I message on the app I get a reply the same day, which is excellent. I couldn't imagine sending my daughter to another nursery, and I can't praise Sunshine enough.

My son started the nursery in July; the staff are amazing. My son learns so many things, and he is happy when he is going to the nursery; he can wait to go in there. I just want to thank you all! He is speaking English now, and he learns songs. I am so proud of him!

My daughter started here when she was 18-months-old, and she has loved every day she has attended - no issues, never sad, was always excited. The nursery itself is amazing, and all of their staff! She has learnt so much from Sunshine; they have helped her so much, and I can’t thank them enough! Sad
that today was my daughter last day as she starting big school! She will miss nursery and all her teachers! 100% would recommend! Can’t wait for my little boy to start here! Thank you again.
