Prima is a fantastic nursery, I am so glad both of my boys go there. All staff (and not just the ones in your child’s room) go above and beyond to make each day the best for the children. I couldn’t ask for a better place to send my children!

My daughter has attended Prima for 3 years and I’ve seen her come on leaps and bounds, both in confidence and developmentally.
The effort that the staff go to providing new and fun activities, themed throughout the year, to make learning fun is incredible. The kitchen staff provide a wonderful variety
of healthy meals cooked onsite for the children. All of the staff are caring, friendly and nurturing creating a happy environment for the children to thrive in. The fact they have so many long-standing staff there is a testament to their manager who I can’t speak highly enough of and evidently runs a tight ship.
I strongly believe Prima has prepared her well for school and I will be sad for her to leave. Then our second daughter will begin her journey there in the summer! This time around I’m not nervous as I know how good the experience will be for her.

Prima is a fantastic nursery. Our daughter has built up a fantastic bond with the staff in every room she has been in. It has been an overall great experience and the peace of mind we get knowing she is in great care is invaluable. Our youngest daughter will also attend starting this year. Highly recommend.

The best place to bring your child. Experience, passionate absolutely beautiful stuff. Classrooms are well equipped with plenty of interesting toys, and books. Prima Montessori is an absolutely beautiful nursery.

My daughter has been at Prima since February 2021 and absolutely loves it. All staff are polite and helpful, nothing is ever too much for them and they all know each child by name, greeting everyone around the building. We live in a single-parent house and the staff know which weekends and days her
dad picks her up and when she makes things to bring home the staff ensures she has something for both parents. She loves all activities and talks about all her friends from nursery all the time. Her confidence has come on leaps and bounds since she started and the lessons and teaching the staff have done with her really shines through. I have always said it's a shame Prima doesn't teach the primary school years as well, I would love for her to continue to grow in the warm, loving and family environment that has been created at Prima.

Our daughter has been at the nursery for 6 months and loves it. From the moment we went to view the nursery, we knew it was the right place for us and haven’t been disappointed. The care and love shown to our daughter is clear to see, I think she’d happily stay there for the weekend too. We never feel
apprehensive leaving her there as we know she’s very well looked after.

Prima is a fantastic nursery, the care from each member of staff is amazing.
My son loves to go in each day and has so much fun doing all the activities set up for them.
Nothing is a problem for the staff and they truly care and will help out any way they can.

A nursery full of an abundance of kind, professional, caring, trustworthy and respectful staff. Their ability to meet the needs of all children across the nursery, including- allergies is above standards and expectations. Safeguarding is key, and Prima ensures all measures and policies of safeguarding
for both children and parents are met. Their knowledge of providing activities to meet the ages of all children is impeccable and something as a parent myself I can see has helped my daughter to progress and meet each and every milestone she needs.
Highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking for a safe and professional environment for their children.

Prima have been absolutely amazing they brought my daughter on leaps and bounds. She really enjoys coming to school. She has made so many good friendships and absolutely loves all of her teachers. She’s a very energetic child and every day she comes home and she is knackered which shows she is burning
her energy and having fun all day absolutely love the way the staff have been with her and couldn’t fault them for anything.

I couldn’t have chosen a better nursery for my twins. They have settled in so well and are absolutely doted on.
The nursery manager has gone over and beyond to provide any extra support they needed to have an easy transition from being home to now being in their “home away from home”.
All their
meals are cooked on-site and they offer a variety of food and cater for intolerances.
Prima staff are so attentive and dedicated to the children. I have zero concerns once I drop them off each day.

We relocated in April last year, and I had concerns about how my son would adjust to a new nursery. The moment I walked into Prima Nursery, I knew it was the right choice.
The entire staff at Prima Montessori & Day Nursery has been incredible. I have complete confidence when I leave my son there. They
have supported his development exceptionally well and taken care of him fantastically.
With him starting reception in September, we will undoubtedly miss everyone at Prima.
If you are in search of the perfect place for your little one, I wholeheartedly recommend Prima.

The staff at Prima are exceptional! As a mother with a child with additional educational needs who had a terrible experience in another setting, I was apprehensive at first; however, those feelings went away rather quickly. The staff genuinely care about the kids in their setting and aren’t afraid to
go above and beyond to ensure the children are happy and their holistic needs are met. I wish I had moved my daughter sooner.

My daughter has been attending nursery since she was 15 months old (now coming up 3 yrs) and we have been very happy with the care she receives at Prima. She is always looking forward to her nursery days and comes out happy and excited to tell me about her day. The staff are friendly and kind and go
out of their way to make the children's experience great, they keep us up to date with regular pictures and a daily diary. My daughter has developed a great bond with the staff in her room and most days she doesn't want to leave when I pick her up.

We are so pleased with the care and service we have received at Prima Montessori & Day Nursery. Every staff member greets us with smiles, cheerful hellos and goodbyes every day. We are fortunate to have found such a wonderful nursery for our daughter who now runs in and waves goodbye to us confidently.
Excellent communication, even with a tiny scratch that our daughter may have caught herself with her nail, we are always caught up to date. The staff in the baby room are caring and consistently treat our daughter well, they know if she is having an 'off' day or when she may be unwell straight away. Our daughter has an excellent relationship with the staff and we are so grateful for their time, effort and care every day.

My son has attended since he was 10 months old and he will be turning 5 this year. My mind is at ease knowing he is in safe hands at Prima Montessori & Day Nursery. The staff are welcoming and friendly. My son looks forward to attending and always has a lot to talk about when he is picked up. The activities
they do are creative and relatable. The online daily reporting system is very helpful and simple to use. I always look forward to the weekly observations to see what my boy has been up to. Prima was recommended to me and I would highly recommend them to any family.

My son attended the nursery for around three years and they was absolutely amazing! I tried so many nurseries before and this was by far the best. The carers are so lovely and really care about the children. I loved the garden area and the location of the nursery. I would only ever recommend here.

My son has been attending for the last six months. This is a superb nursery, I couldn't ask for a better place for my son to go to. My son needs support with his developmental delays and the staff always goes above and beyond. The children are offered indoor and outdoor opportunities daily to further
their education. My son is also offered freshly cooked meals daily which are catered to my child's needs. The nursery and staff are always welcoming and the facilities are perfect for my child's needs.

Both my boys have been looked after at the nursery. My youngest can't wait for his nursery days and very much looks forward to playing with all his friends and taking part in all the fabulous activities the staff put on. The staff all know him by name and always greet him with a smile.

Toni O'Brien

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Hi, I’m Toni O’Brien and have worked at Prima for 19 years and for the past 13 years as Nursery Manager. I have an NVQ3 in childcare and working in partnership with parents, I ensure the smooth running of the nursery on a day-to-day basis. I am the Designated Safeguarding Lead.


I have attended Eat Better, Start Better, health nutrition training and ensure that children have healthy and well-balanced meals.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Joined: 2013

Hi, my name is Amy and I am the deputy manager working alongside Toni. I have been here at Prima Montessori for 8 years starting off as a Level 3 apprentice and then working my way up to Room leader, Third in charge and then Deputy. I help with the day-to-day running of the nursery from opening and closing the building, liaising with parents, visits for new parents, maintaining ratios and supporting staff. I specialise in the under 2’s age group and oversee their reports ready to take to their 2-year reviews with their health visitor. I am the wellbeing champion at Prima, a designated safeguarding lead and have Level 2 in understanding Autism.
