The Old Station Nursery is set in a rural area on the edge of Henley and is just the place for little ones who love tearing around in the great outdoors! It is a real outdoors nursery, set within its own extensive grounds and surrounded by picturesque fields and woodlands.

Henley has an enhanced focus on Organic Food is part of an engaging curriculum instilling curiosity, creativity and well-being. Children grow, tend and harvest their own produce. By doing this, the children learn the different environments plants need in order to grow, types of fruit and vegetables and how to cook and use their produce for eating. The organic food children grow and eat is highly nutritious and meets the standards of the SOIL Association and Food For Life.

Henley also has a Cookery enhancement and is equipped with specialist children’s cooking and baking equipment that are designed to be safe and have easy grip handles, ready to support the children’s culinary adventures. By exploring their senses, children build adventurous palates, and through the process of learning to cook, learn valuable skills such as; early maths skills including counting and measuring, learning to listen, concentrate and follow instructions safely, sequencing and creative thinking.

Henley offers children the chance to learn through Forest School teaching. Rather than just using classroom resources and equipment, children can use natural materials found in the woodland and enjoy activities such as collecting sticks and leaves, tying knots, making dens, handling tools, using twigs to write in the mud, jumping across stones and much more.

The nursery has been brilliant since my son has started, the staff are very kind and supportive they encouraged him to settle in and make new friends. I love receiving photos and information of what he's done throughout the day which helps out me at the ease that he is in good care while I work.

I would highly recommend The Old Station Nursery. The staff and management are fantastic and have been instrumental in my niece's development. She absolutely loves it there and it's wonderful peace of mind knowing she how much she enjoys her time there.
We have a joke that she eats better than we
do and are constantly surprised at how high quality and varied the meals are.
I love the fact I can keep up with my nieces' progress, daily activities, meals and photos through the app. The outside space and activities provided are excellent and I would recommend to any families looking for a nursery place for their children.

My daughter loves coming to this nursery! The staff are lovely and the girls are great at providing her with lots of activities throughout the day! I love seeing the photos/videos of her doing different things throughout the day on the app!
The manager is very supportive and was great when my little

Great staff, especially the lady in pre-school, my daughter loves her.
Forest school is also great and one of her favourite activities.
She also loves the food provided.
The only issue for me as a parent is the muddy car park.

Lovely experience joining The Old Station Nursery in Henley on Thames! The staff have been very quick in getting back in touch with us, setting up viewings, settling in, and making sure our child’s first few days were easy. The staff are amazing and everything has been so smooth and stress-free. My

Our son has been at The Old Station Nursery Henley for just over a year and he absolutely loves it there.
The food that is provided is great, he has at least one hot meal a day and updates show that he finishes most meals. The menu is varied, introducing the children to a wide variety of flavours
and textures, it always surprises me which foods he takes to and now eats at home.
The outside area is full of toys and activities and the children are outside in all suitable weather, great for a boisterous 2-year-old boy. His speech and educational progression have been amazing to watch and a huge part of that is his experience at The Old Station Nursery.
The staff are friendly, caring and confident. Our son has always bonded well with his key carers and I am confident he is well looked after with an experienced team, two members of staff, in particular, have been a real support to us and him through his first few years. Thank you.

Both my children have loved attending the Old Station nursery. The staff are fantastic and caring and provide regular updates on what the children have been up to. The children have really engaging play sessions and spend a lot of time in the garden areas.

I have two little boys at the Old Station nursery. My oldest, now two, has been there since he was six months old and my youngest, about to turn one, has been there for a couple of months. As a full-time working mum, finding a setting your children love, with people who care so much for them, is extremely
important. I am so happy with the care the nursery provides and love hearing about what they have been up to every day. Most days when I pick them up, they are outdoors playing, in their element. I am so happy I have been able to get my boys into the nursery and can't thank them enough.

We couldn’t be more pleased that we chose the Old Station Nursery for our daughter. She and we have been welcomed from day 1, with everyone we encounter being kind and friendly. She has quickly adjusted to her new setting and clearly loves the staff who care for her. They treat her with such kindness

I love this nursery and the team who run it. Both my kids have really enjoyed and are still enjoying their time there. The staff are caring, kind and so much fun to be around. I honestly can’t fault it. The location is great with a huge garden area and forest school and parking onsite for parents is
always a bonus.

Old Station Henley has excellent facilities, inside and out, caring staff and lots of activities on offer. The only area for improvement is the menu which relies heavily on sandwiches/pittas for afternoon tea, but hot lunches sound so good I wish I could stay too!

I have two children at the Old Station and they both love it. The setting is wonderful and I particularly love their forest school trips. Most importantly though, the staff make such an effort in their relationships with my two. My 3-year-old chatters away about her friends and the staff that she likes
so much My almost 2-year-old runs in to meet his key carer. They are also very responsive to questions or any concerns so I have complete peace of mind that my kids are in good hands. My ratings on cleanliness and resources are based on what I remember the inside being like pre-pandemic, as parents have not been allowed into the nursery during the pandemic.
