Barnkids is a family run independent Nursery and Forest School set in the heart of the Surrey countryside close to Chiddingfold Village and Witley train station.

Barnkids and their practitioners actively encourage their children to make the most of their surroundings and learn about the outdoors and environment around them. They offer a full Forest School to all of their Toddler and Pre-school children and have all-weather outside space for all age groups including babies.   

Barnkids baby and toddler rooms were renovated in 2018 adding additional space and an all weather playground for their youngest children.

A fabulous setting with such friendly staff who have looked after my daughter well. In particular, the forest school set up is great - lots of interesting learning ideas creating really confident children. Now they do lunch and supper it has made the work morning much easier without having to organise
a packed lunch.

My son has attended Barnkids since he was 1 and has continually grown in confidence throughout.
He has made many great friends and is absolutely prepared for full-time school, having forged close relationships with all of those he has interacted with.

Our child has had an amazing time at Barn Kids. He has been here since he was 1 year old and have enjoyed every minute. He always comes home with a smile on his face.
Having the forest school site has been brilliant. So important for the children to be outside as much as possible.
We love all of the
staff too. They are all so much fun and caring.

Barnkids has a genuine community feel and staff take the time and trouble to get to know the parents as well as the children. I've been hugely impressed at the creativity and commitment of the carers and how well they have got to know, and subsequently, support my son. The outdoor space, garden with
growing opportunities and the forest school all make Barn a little gem.

Barnkids is fantastic.
I really couldn't fault it. My son is very happy here and I look forward to my daughter coming here.
Forest school makes the time at nursery school very special.
Value for money - only marked good as have to supply nappies and wipes.

An excellent nursery that provides a fun, caring and educational setting. Our son loves every day. He is gaining confidence and making great friends. The outdoor activities are excellent and were one of the reasons we chose Barnkids. They have not disappointed. Very happy parents.

Our son has been at Barnkids for a year now and absolutely loves it. He quickly settled and gets on really well with all the practitioners - they love him and he loves them. He only goes two days a week but in the last few months, he's talked about wanting to go to nursery on non-nursery days which
is a great sign. And now he's transitioning up to the Barn age group he's really excited about it - we thought he'd be a bit wary of moving up but he hasn't looked back and is really proud to be a "big boy".


The facilities at Barnkids are second to none - there are several outside spaces with various different features including an undercover space which is great for those rainy days, meaning they aren't stuck indoors. And that's without even mentioning the forest school which is a glorious walk across a couple of fields, often filled with sheep for the kids to look at.


We're really happy with Barnkids and would highly recommend it.

We have had a child at Barnkids since July 2015 and have greatly appreciated the improvement since the manager and team have taken over. The introduction of ParentZone has been great and has the standard of cleanliness and learning.
I am sad there is not an afterschool club, however. Staff care is
excellent and I feel the safeguard measures are good.

My husband and I are thrilled with Barnkids Nursery, the staff are so friendly and we have absolutely no concerns when we drop our child off. My only suggestions would be to have flexible 1/2 days available (after you sign up for 2) as we have found on a number of occasions this would have been very
useful. And finally when our baby first started nursery we had photos every day, this was really nice but we don't often get any pictures to see what he has been up to now.

A wonderful caring environment with excellent and supportive staff. My daughter loves it here and enjoys all of the activities provided. She is thriving and developing new skills on a daily basis. Most importantly she learns through play and having fun!

Barnkids offers a safe, friendly and stimulating environment for my child. Since being in the Chicken Run she has grown in confidence and ability in all areas of development. It is hard to believe that in just three months she has built up enough stamina to walk all the way to The Forest School Camp.
The staff are caring and nurturing and I have a child who happily walks in by herself each morning. What more could I want!

Barnkids Nursery is a wonderful and nurturing environment for children who need to expel energy. They are outside when they can be outside, always coming home tired and happy and full of their day. The staff are professional and collaborative. All in all it a great place to send your children to prepare
for school.
