Our daughter will have been with Busy Bees in Thames Ditton for three years when she leaves for school in September. She has loved every minute and it’s testament to the staff that she regularly talks to us about her ‘teachers’. She has changed key person a couple of times but formed a special bond
with each one in turn and quickly too. She walks in with a smile on her face in the mornings and it’s often hard to drag her away in the afternoons.
A good mix of play, learning and other optional classes, as well as plenty of time spent in the generous outdoor spaces.
Would highly recommend to other parents.

Our daughter has been attending Busy Bees full-time since January 2021 and will soon be transitioning to school in September. Our experience with Busy Bees Thames Ditton has been wonderful over the past few years. The staff members have been exceptional and our daughter has flourished in their care.
There's a diverse range of activities each week and plenty of time spent outdoors in the garden. Busy Bees has played an instrumental role in preparation for reception.

Amazing nursery. The staff are really caring to the children and do a good mix of activities between educational, learning, outside and sports activities. They have good links with the local schools for handover periods.

My daughter hasn’t long started at Busy Bees Thames Ditton, as I was lucky enough to have her with me! As she is starting school end of the year, I wanted to get her into a good routine at a good nursery, make friends and continue to blossom. Busy Bees was the second nursery I viewed and I couldn’t
be happier with my choice. My daughter felt happy and excited just by viewing and speaking with staff. Now just over a month later and my daughter is excited for nursery every day, staff are always happy when they see her coming and this gives her such a warm and happy feeling! Even with the Easter holidays just gone, my daughter said most days I miss nursery. Thank you for making my daughter feel so happy, welcomed and excited for each day! One happy mum and even happier daughter.

My son has been going to this nursery for almost two years and he is thriving. Staff are caring, dedicated and warm (so far, we've experienced the baby and toddler rooms) and they truly care about each child. I get updates on the app throughout the day and a comprehensive handover when I pick him up.
Staff are experienced and they are able to point out areas for development too. I love that this nursery has big green spaces and kids go outside every day to play.

We love Busy Bees in Thames Ditton. We have both of our daughters currently attending and their cousins have been there over the years as well. The staff are so kind and caring. Our girls run into their arms when they arrive. It is so reassuring to know they are well looked after. The outside space
and also plenty of room for parking for drop-off/pick-up is the icing on the cake. Thank you!

Busy Bees Thames Ditton, a most remarkable nursery filled with love, laughter and activities that challenge the mind, stimulates our grandson's vocabulary, his mind, his heart.
The staff not only go the extra mile to ensure our grandson feels safe, secure and well-minded but care deeply, always. Our
grandson has thrived in their care - hugely. He has gone from being quite shy and preferring to not engage, to being fully immersed (his choice) in all the fun activities they offer. Their offer through learning is enabling and is adapted to meet all abilities.
Our grandson now has a cohort of friends whom he really loves being with. They are his besties. Thank you one and all for helping to settle him so well, you are awesome.

Both of my children have attended Busy Bees, Thames Ditton, with the youngest now in her final year. My youngest is incredibly happy there, growing in confidence and has a very close relationship with all the staff, especially her key worker. As a working mum, knowing my child is having the best possible
care, in a happy and nurturing environment, makes returning to work an easy choice. I would 100% recommend this nursery.

My 2-year-old son recently started at Busy Bees and it's his first time in nursery. The onboarding through the team was great, although there were some tears in the beginning (very much to be expected!), he has settled in fantastically. The flexibility and frequency of the settling-in sessions, were
paramount to this. The staff are so incredibly kind and I know my son is having a fantastic time. He is very eager to show me all the fun activities he has been doing throughout the day, when I pick him up! His key worker is so lovely and really put my mind at rest (I was probably more nervous than my son!) and it's so lovely to get a first-hand and detailed update of his day, in the evenings. It's lovely how the team get external extra-curricular activities for the children to do too. Looking forward to our handmade baubles, in time for Christmas!

Our son loves going to nursery and we would definitely recommend. He enjoys the activities there and the outside space which is one of the reasons we chose it. We have found the staff to be very caring towards him and are happy with the nursery.

This is a fantastic nursery, where the staff are excellent. My child has been at Busy Bees since she was one, and I’ve never had any issues. Busy Bees Thames Ditton is a warm, nurturing and fun home from home for my four and two-year-olds. They always come home with exciting stories about what they have learnt and done during their days. I have seen my children thrive, their imaginations grow and their friendships expand. The staff are wonderful.
Always there to listen to me as a parent but most importantly they have taken the time and effort to really get to know and understand my boys. There is a real focus on exploring, learning, imagination and being kind. Would 100% recommend Busy Bees to any child and parent.

Busy Bees is a nurturing environment for any baby/toddler. The themed days and weeks make it very exciting for our little one. Communication between staff and parents is great and there’s always someone at the end of the line listening to you if you have any concerns. Our son went in with a speech delay
and with ongoing support from the team he’s doing incredibly well. It’s a great nursery and the team are very approachable and fun.

I would highly recommend this nursery. We moved home eighteen months ago on top of which, the Covid-19 pandemic closing several nurseries and both parents being key workers has meant moving nurseries several times. I have therefore had insight from seeing how all these other nurseries work. I am so
happy that we eventually got a place at Busy Bees in Thames Ditton after nearly a year on the waiting list. The staff seem genuinely caring and interested in the development of the children. They go the extra mile to put on fun activities, often dressing up and being inventive. I enjoy seeing photos along with feedback on the parent portal and overall the communication is good from the room, staff and management team. The facilities seem good with a lovely big outside area.

Both my daughter and I have had an excellent experience with Busy bees. From the day we came to see the nursery the staff went above and beyond to ensure my daughter had the days that suited us best. Every member of staff have been friendly, kind and understanding and everything is done in the child's
best interests. There is always a new fun activity for the children to get involved in and parents are always kept in the loop. My daughter has learnt a lot in the preschool room she can write names and is getting great with numbers. She has been encouraged to try new foods and plays with lots of children and her confidence has grown massively. We will be sad to leave Busy Bees but it has been a great step towards school!

Busy Bees in Thames Ditton is a wonderful nursery. All of the staff are a pleasure to deal with, from the management team through to the staff looking after each of the age groups. Our eldest went to the preschool from 2018 to 2019 and our youngest is currently there in the middle room. Both boys absolutely
love it. There's a lovely big garden and all the staff go above and beyond to make the children feel safe and happy. It's the genuine sense of care that makes it so special. When our eldest broke his arm, one of the nursery staff came to the hospital with my wife to help look after our baby, thank you so much again! This meant so much to us and really sums up what wonderful people they are. We love the nursery and feel very lucky to have had our children there.

Current Review Score: 8.9 (8.926)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.9 (8.926) out of 10 for Busy Bees Thames Ditton is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.1 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.833 for Busy Bees Thames Ditton is calculated as follows: ( (72 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 84 Ratings = 4.833

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.093 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Thames Ditton is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 89 number of registered child places is 17.8. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 17.8 = 0.393

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
