Reply from Nicky Price, Marketing at Ripley Court School Nursery
Due to the wide range of specialist teaching, the timetable needs to be more structured to allow for these wonderful opportunities. During the rest of the time at our nursery, children can choose from a variety of activities which have been carefully planned for using the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, as well as the children’s current interests and fascinations. The children have free choice of resources, both inside and outside and receive thorough support from our nurturing staff team.

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.231) out of 10 for Ripley Court School Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.
a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.
b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.
The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:
a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.
The Average Rating of 4.950 for Ripley Court School Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (57 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 60 Ratings = 4.95
b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').
The 4.281 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Ripley Court School Nursery is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:
The 5 points available are broken down as follows:
i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5
ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 32 number of registered child places is 6.4. 5 Positive Reviews ÷ 6.4 = 0.781
When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Nursery Manager
Joined: 2024
With over 30 years of experience and a passion for Early Years and play-based learning, I feel
privileged to be part of your child’s early journey. My career has taken me across both state and
independent sectors, working with young children at every stage of the EYFS foundation stage.
Every day brings something new, and I am constantly inspired by the joy, curiosity, and endless potential that children bring. Just like the children, I’ve never stopped learning – it’s this shared journey of discovery that makes Early Years so special.
I am committed to providing a nurturing and inspiring environment where every child feels loved, supported, and encouraged to explore the world around them. I aim to support children in all aspects of pre-school life and, with the help of our wonderful Nursery practitioners, create a
safe, loving space where every child can thrive. I believe each child is a unique individual with a natural curiosity and thirst for learning. Through good-quality early years education and an enabling environment, we build strong foundations for each child, helping them develop and progress in away that’s right for them at the very start of their educational journey.
I am a mum of three. I enjoy spending time with family and friends and walking my two dogs.
Job Title: Nursery Practitioner

With over 13 years of experience in early childhood education, I am deeply passionate about creating a warm, nurturing, and inspiring environment where every child feels safe, valued and encouraged to flourish.
The early years are a magical time, filled with curiosity, discovery, and potential, and I find immense joy in supporting children as they embark on their educational journey.
Throughout my career, I have worked extensively within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), building a strong understanding of how to create stimulating spaces that encourage exploration, creativity, and growth. I see each child as a capable and curious individual and take pride in tailoring activities to their unique needs and interests. My goal is to instil confidence and foster a genuine love of learning in every child.
I believe that families play a crucial role in a child’s development and work hard to build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers. I aim to create a sense of partnership and reassurance that their child is cherished and supported.
My approach is rooted in kindness, empathy, and patience. I am particularly interested in child psychology and behaviour management, focusing on understanding the emotions and
experiences behind behaviours. By nurturing self-esteem and emotional resilience, I help children develop a strong sense of self-worth and confidence in overcoming challenges.
I bring my love of music and creativity into the classroom, finding ways to engage children through songs, rhymes, and hands-on activities that spark curiosity and joy. My commitment is to provide a safe, loving, and inspiring environment where every child feels celebrated for who they are and empowered to thrive.
