Orchard Day Nursery has been part of the Hanover community since it opened its doors in 1991. In 2020 the nursery expanded and opened an additional Pre-School site behind St Luke's Church.

At Orchard they are passionate about creating a lifelong love of learning and ensuring their nursery feels wholesome and homely for all children in their care. Each child is treated as an individual and is made to feel valued. They want children to feel inspired to learn and challenge themselves in an environment that is rich in experiences.

The dedicated and diverse staff team is made up of male and female practitioners with different cultural backgrounds. They use their knowledge and culture to give the children a broad range of learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom.

The nursery is in a wonderful location with Queen's Park on its doorstep and a short walk/bus ride away from the city centre and seafront. They believe in the importance of learning through real life experiences and frequently take children to the park, library and beach. The staff will also plan trips to enhance the children's learning experiences of particular interests and topics.

I made the best decision seven years ago to send my girls to Orchard. They've truly been loved and cared for by all the team throughout the nursery. They have both left ready for the next chapter at school, with amazing memories and fabulous friends. Thank you to you all.

The staff at Orchard are consistently fantastic. I have a one-year-old and 3 1/2 year-old who have never had a bad day and always look forward to going back.
In all age groups, we've always been met with a smile no matter how demanding their days might have been. Any issues there have been have been
swiftly dealt with and communication both through the app and face to face has always been a strong point.
The staff really seem to care and take a great deal of interest in the children and their point of view. We get informal feedback at the door and more detailed learning summaries through the app which is really helpful.
We often hear little snippets from our 3-year-old such as the "golden rules", yoga poses, songs, and the solar system!

The team at Orchard have looked after my son beautifully! He was there from 14 months until 4 years and 11 months and had great care throughout. The staff are lovely and the management is knowledgeable and professional. For his final year at Orchard, he was in the preschool unit which had a strong community
feel and he created bonds with both 'grownups' and his little friends, we will miss it!

Orchard is a wonderful nursery with incredibly genuine and caring staff. They have regular themes and activities that are interesting, diverse and engaging. They are the centre of a great community. My kid loves it there.

My daughter has been attending Orchard Day Nursery for the past three and a half years. I have been really impressed with their attention to detail. Our child loves the nursery, and we feel he’s exceptionally secure and well cared for. The staff are all excellent, communication is good and we are very happy he goes there. The space is great and they do numerous activities.

Incredible nursery. All of the staff are attentive and engaged with the children. They really take the time to get to know the children as individuals and communication back and forth is great. Lovely, diverse and inclusive team. Our little one has felt safe and secure here from day one, and their development
has been excellent. There is a wide range of activities available, lots of outdoor time and even trips out to the library and other places for the older children. Would highly recommend.

It takes a huge amount to leave your baby with other people. But from the start the team have been supportive, caring and considerate. They do lots of activities with the children and I’ve just seen my baby thrive since joining. The whole team, including the management team, are really responsive. We’re

I'm so happy and feel really lucky that my younger son went to Orchard Day. The care and love the staff give to the children are incredible. Very well organised, they treat their staff very well too. There are a wide range of activities including Spanish and singing and yoga and forest school in the

My 3 year old and 1 year old attend this nursery. I'm really happy with it and they both love it. I think the staff and management try really hard to deliver great care even in a challenging economic/lockdown time. Staff seem committed and get a chance to progress.

I cannot recommend Orchard Day enough. Communication is excellent, all staff are committed and well trained and, most importantly, children thrive in the setting. We feel incredibly lucky that our children have benefitted from being there and are so thankful for their care.

The staff at Orchard Day Nursery are fantastic. They really eased my anxieties about sending my (at the time) 8-month-old to nursery. They have a kind and compassionate approach which I think really helped my son to settle in with ease. They are great with their communications and always keep me updated
on my son's day. This is my first baby so naturally I was nervous about leaving him at first but now I see how much he enjoys it there and how much more confident he has become. The staff work tirelessly to find fun activities for the children. They take them to the local park where they can see the ducks and swans on sunny days. They have a sensory room and a decent outdoor space too. I highly recommend Orchard Day Nursery to anyone looking for kind committed staff.

This nursery is honestly outstanding. After plenty of research, I chose this nursery for my son to go to, as they adapt the learning to the individual child's interests and come highly recommended by other parents. They listen to your dietary requests for your children and provide a nutritious variety
of meals. As an anxious mother, the staff put my mind to rest when my son was settling in and checked in regularly to update me on his progress. He always leaves the nursery smiling and comes home with new skills he likes to show off. Each colleague has such a passion for each of the children and cares for them deeply. My son has a fantastic relationship with them. My newborn will certainly be joining there later next year. Would highly recommend this nursery and the staff to anyone looking for a lovely nursery to send their children to.

My son has been attending for nearly five months in the baby room and absolutely loves it. The staff are amazing, very caring and go that extra mile to assist if they can. Orchard are super responsive.
