The nursery has always been fantastic. All the carers from the ones you see daily, to the office staff and kitchen staff are incredibly welcoming, friendly and provide a super service to the children. I've had two that started in the baby room, and there have been tears but very short lived and now
my girls barely give me a glance back as the skip happily into their rooms. They deserve to acquire the land next to playground to extend their outdoor space, as it is sufficient but, for children; they can easily fill every corner!

All three of my children have attended Busy Bees Haywards Heath over the last seven years which is a testimony to their truly outstanding work. There is a feeling that overwhelms as you enter the nursery, one that I have never felt anywhere else...it's difficult to define because it is everywhere and
in everything they do - warmth, kindness , joy , happiness , fun and laughter. Every member of staff goes the extra mile and exudes passion for developing the children in their care! I could not be happier with how my children have been cared for and supported and confidently say that they are growing into the wonderful people they are in part due to the incredible Early Years experiences they had at Busy Bees!

Both my girls love their time at Busy Bees Haywards Heath and baby number 3 is already on the waiting list. The staff are caring and the facilities really good plus the food is cooked on site and my kids love it! It's not surprising they are outstanding

The nursery is run very efficiently, with very professional staff. It's always clean and well presented, with good play equipment. Although it is situated in an old chapel, the inside of the building has a modern feel, and there's a play area outside which the children can be taken out to.
The food
is freshly prepared on site, with a 3-weekly menu which is changed every season and my child always enjoys the meals there, and eats everything. His special dietary requests are well catered for and taken very seriously.
There is a lot of free play, and they also have learning initiatives such as 'babble to chatter' and 'shake and write'.
The staff are always friendly and have a good attitude towards the children, which I'm sure goes a long way to nurturing their confidence and self-esteem. If I ever ask anything, they will always remember to follow it up and look into things for me. My son is in the preschool room and looks forward to going to nursery and has made some lovely friendships.

Current Review Score: 8.8 (8.803)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.8 (8.803) out of 10 for Busy Bees Haywards Heath is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.833 for Busy Bees Haywards Heath is calculated as follows: ( (61 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 72 Ratings = 4.833

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.97 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Haywards Heath is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 81 number of registered child places is 16.2. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 16.2 = 0.37

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
