Bright Horizons Lavender Lodge Burgess Hill Preschool, provides care and education for 3- and 4-year-olds in a warm, home-like environment. Connected to Tudor House nursery, the program seamlessly transitions children from 6 months to 4 years old. Enrolling at Bright Horizons Tudor House automatically registers your child at Lavender Lodge for their final preschool year.

The preschool's vision is to create an inclusive and inspiring environment, fostering independence in learning. Qualified preschool teachers lead the Ready for School Programme, offering a variety of activities to boost confidence for the next big adventure.

Mindfulness and wellbeing are integral, with daily Yoga Lions sessions led by an Early Years Teacher in a dedicated quiet room. The facility includes a free-flow classroom, art studio, and a snug/mindfulness and yoga room. Lavender Lodge is a fantastic preschool and my daughter is very happy and thriving there. The staff are lovely and have great bonds with the children. The space is lovely and bright, with different sections for different types of activity and energy levels. They have a great set-up for arts and crafts,
and lots of role-play and open-ended toys for imaginative play. The food is freshly cooked by the chef and is really varied and caters well for dietary needs. It's the perfect place for preschoolers to get ready for school!

I would highly recommend Lavender Lodge to anybody for their children! If you want your child to be safe, have a range of fun activities to do, and be in a very friendly, caring and clean environment, then this is the best place!
My son has been very happy here and we will miss all the staff very
much, as he goes onto his next adventure at Primary School.

My daughter had been attending Lavender Lodge since September and before then Tudor House.
They really have utilized the space well e.g. the children have a role play, sensory, reading/'chill out' room. It is a warm and inviting space, the classroom is full of natural light and lovely decorated. It
has a great L-shaped outdoor area which the children absolutely love to play in e.g. in the mud kitchen.
My daughter always goes in with the biggest smile on her face and leaves super happy. Most importantly the staff at Lavender Lodge are absolutely incredible. Since the new lady has taken over Lavender Lodge and Tudor House she has really made a massive difference. Lovely caring and a fantastic assistant manager. All the staff are caring and nurturing. We always have a good laugh. You feel like your child is really known and loved. They have high expectations and encourage the children to be responsible and prepare them for school. Highly recommend.

Lavender Lodge has recently been refurbished as a preschool and it is lovely to see how they have utilized the space, e.g. now the children have an art studio and a reading/'chill out' room. It is a warm and inviting space, the classroom is full of natural light and staff make great efforts to decorate
and display the toys/activities for the children. They are very lucky! The nursery has a lovely L-shaped outdoor area which the children absolutely love to play in e.g. in the mud kitchen.
Most importantly the staff at Bright Horizons Lavender Lodge are absolutely incredible - all are very caring and nurturing. You feel like your child is really known and loved. They have high expectations and encourage the children to be responsible, e.g. self-registering on arrival and rewarding them for being helpful. There is a great focus on the holistic as well as the practical, for instance, yoga/mindfulness. Having had an older child go through Bright Horizons Lavender Lodge I feel that they were really prepared for school thanks to their last year at the nursery.

My son has been really happy to attend this setting since its opening, we are very pleased that it focuses on getting him ready to start school next year and has a lovely teacher on site. The staff are very approachable, informative and caring. We like their sense of inclusion, teaching good values

My little girl has been going to Lavender Lodge for a few months now. We couldn’t be happier with her progress and the care she receives. She already had a really good foundation, as she came from Tudor House also owned by Bright Horizons, but she has made further progress here. The focus on literacy
and numeracy is great as is the focus on well-being and emotional development. There is a ‘chill-out’ room where the children do yoga, meditation and breathing exercises; my little girl’s yoga practice is almost as developed as mine! She has learned a greater degree of independence and is always happy to know she’s off to nursery. The staff are great, all staff members and of course the manager, who is a very effective leader. Nursery isn’t cheap wherever you send your children, but we feel that this is money very well spent.

My daughter is really happy at Lavender Lodge. She often talks very fondly about the staff. She enjoys her time there.
The staff are all really friendly and approachable, the communication from the preschool is clear and helpful.
I’d be interested in the children having trips - perhaps to the park
or the library. Forest schooling activities. Learning about the environment- reduce, reuse, recycle, sustainable transport, encouraging walking/scootering/cycling to school. I’m surprised at how much the nursery fees have increased in the time that my daughter has attended and worry for future working parents trying to access childcare.

Wonderful teachers and setting. Very flexible with my daughter's attendance time within the hours as she has other activities. My daughter seems to enjoy what she is learning and the food prepared by their dedicated chef.

Our daughter is really happy here! The facilities are all completely new (refurbed in summer 2023) and it’s so nice having the different rooms like the art room and reading room. All the staff are great, they know her so well and have really helped her settle. She’s really grown in confidence since
joining and has started talking about books and songs she’s learnt at preschool. She loves the outdoor play areas with the trikes and mud kitchen and loves it when they do trips out to the park.
