At this warm and welcoming nursery, staff listen to children’s ideas and believe creativity is as important as literacy and mathematics.

The outdoors is also hugely important to the nursery and there are beech and forest schools to help children learn about their environment through investigative play, and help them to become confident individuals.

Healthy eating is key to the provision and children are taught about where their food comes from, and have a selection of healthy and nutritious meal choices offered to them daily.

A huge asset for our family and the town. Our kids love going to nursery and are advancing ahead of their peers at other places. It definitely meets the reputation and expectations we discovered when researching where to send our children. No messing about with continuity of service like we’ve experienced
at other nurseries. The staff are all lovely and get on great with the little ones which is key! Personally, our kids are more bangers and mash than couscous people.
(The price of childcare in general in the UK is ridiculous so no nursery would get 5 stars for value for money!)

Very happy with the nursery and how my daughter is settled there. She enjoys her days so can only be a positive. Easy to message the team be it staff in her room or management and to book and notify leave and additional days.

My son started at Reflections in January when he was just over 2. My son has never only spent a handful of days away from me so I was quite nervous about the change for him. Reflections have been amazing and helping him with this change and I love that I get to be updated through the day on the app
with how he’s doing.
Reassuring me that he’s having a good day. I’ve seen such a positive change in my son and seen how his confidence with others has grown in such a short time period. This is no ordinary nursery and the level of care and attention to the children is phenomenal I particularly like the calm energy within the nursery, the home-cooked nutritious food and the lovely outside playing areas.

Very pleased with Reflections and the care they provide our son and daughter. Would like to see them be a little more proactive - for example, we had to encourage more support for our son who found joining and then moving rooms very unsettling. Once we had spoken about this with the relevant staff,
he flourished. It would also be nice to see staff a bit more forthcoming to take our children into their rooms on days when they are a little upset about drop off (the baby room did this really well). Overall though, I would say this is an excellent setting and one where we can trust our children will be safe, well cared for and have fun.

My son loves going to Reflections. The staff are very friendly and supportive towards our son. Despite him learning English as a second language, the team out there is very helpful to him and helps him learn swiftly. They give instant feedback to us which is absolutely great too! I love the warm and welcoming environment at Reflections - from the first time we came to visit, we found it astonishing how focused all staff members were on providing the best care for the little ones. We receive frequent updates daily and a real sense that they are giving bespoke feedback on our
little ones' progress (not just some templated updates that our teachers used to do at school).
I trust my daughter's key worker implicitly and get a sense she genuinely cares for - not just my child - but all the children in her section.
A highly conscientious nursery, always looking to improve and better the lives of our little ones. Would highly recommend it.

This nursery is absolutely fantastic, my son just gets so excited to go to the nursery without crying on drop off. He always comes home happy. All the staff are wonderful and polite. I also love seeing pictures of each day, seeing what my child gets up to. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

My daughter has been attending Reflections for 5 months and it has been fantastic. It took her a little while to settle in and their communication and flexibility made the whole experience so much less stressful. We get lovely updates throughout and at the end of each day which gives us peace of mind,
and it is lovely seeing how much our daughter gets up to and how much fun she has. The staff are all wonderfully friendly, helpful and so committed to the little ones. Would definitely recommend it.

Reflections Nursery is a great place for my children, they enjoy themselves massively every day. The staff is always very caring, organising different educational and fun activities for the children daily. I love the fact that my children enjoy the outdoors every day, especially the Forest School! The
only thing that I don't think they are very strong at is literacy and numeracy. Some children will go to school at the early age of 4 and while I strongly believe that parents are responsible for the majority of their preparation, it would be helpful to have slightly more support from the educators in Reflections.

Staff are very caring and I feel my child is very loved at Reflections. The nursery's values are very much aligned with ours and we can see how our child has grown in confidence there. I’ve had two children at Reflections (one still there) and they have both had a wonderful experience. They thrive in the outdoors and being creative. The staff have always found time to make personal connections.
They are more curious and thoughtful children as a result of being at Reflections.

The staff are so friendly. The building has a lovely homely environment, the activities are brilliant, and the management is so welcoming and helpful. My daughter was at this nursery for 4 years and thrived, my son is now here and loves it. Brilliant menu and large variety. Always clean and tidy and

My daughter loves her “nursery days” and her practitioners, she’s always repeating their names and doing a little happy dance.
I feel like she has definitely excelled in all her milestones thanks to being at nursery and around an educational environment from such a young age.

Our daughter has been attending Reflections since she was 8 months old. In each of the rooms she has transitioned into she has developed amazing bonds with her key workers and always has a wonderful time when she’s there. The learning opportunities she has had since she started would have been impossible
to replicate in our home. Food is great. Staff are lovely. The key staff in her room have always been so supportive of us when we have tried to wean her off her dummy and then with toilet training as well. We couldn’t speak more highly of our experience with Reflections.

My daughter has attended Reflections since she was 6 months (now 3.5 years) and she absolutely loves it. She’s always happy to go to nursery and has built really lovely relationships with adults across the nursery (practitioners across every section as well as support staff) and clearly feels safe,
valued, and stimulated there. She attends every day and has opportunities to take part in a range of enriching activities, e.g. forest school, beach school, atelier projects, care home visits. Communication with us parents has also been great - we particularly love the video diaries from Forest School and the daily photos! Thank you for playing a key part in supporting her to flourish in her early years.

A wonderful nursery that my two-year-old has attended since he was 10 months old. A beautiful setting with a great outside space and wonderful staff. I went to see a lot of nurseries in Worthing before I chose Reflections. I felt at ease when I got shown around. I loved the huge garden and the building size, which doesn't feel claustrophobic like some other places. The staff are all very warm, loving people who really create special bonds with your
child. My daughter still runs over and cuddles her old practitioners. She's been there since the age of 1 and she's nearly 3. The food at the nursery is amazing, and the chef outdoes himself every time. The managers are hardworking and they recognise all the children. They really create a nice culture for the staff who have stayed consistent the whole time she's been there! Staff that stick around says a lot about the nursery and the organisation of it all. The fees at Reflection are expected because of the high standard. If you want to feel relaxed at work and know your child is having fun whilst being loved and cared for, then this is the place for you!

My daughter has been attending Reflections Nursery since June 2023 and we have seen her grow and flourish there. She has developed really close relationships with those who care for her there and some toddler friends too. The staff are always accommodating when I’ve requested changes to my daughter's
routine and are friendly and approachable. My daughter's favourite feature is the beautiful garden. I love that she participates in activities such as growing vegetables and baking bread. Thank you.

I bring with me a wealth of leadership experience and a profound love for early years education, which is fuelled by a passion for nurturing young minds. We believe that early childhood is a crucial time for building the foundation of a lifelong love for learning. With a deep-rooted appreciation for the philosophies of Reggio Emilia and Forest School, we celebrate a unique approach that fosters creativity, outdoor exploration, and the empowerment of each child’s voice”

Rachel graduated from the University of Brighton in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Professional Studies in Learning and Development. She joined Little Dukes as Senior Head of Reflections Nursery & Forest School in 2023, having enjoyed a career in early years spanning over 20 years, including leadership roles in London, Brighton and Worthing.


Rachel thrives on leading change management and improvement in early years provision having successfully rebranded and transitioned specialist term time provision to full day care in 2015 and setting up the very first Ofsted registered nursery for a prestigious independent school in West Sussex in 2019.


Rachel is a freelance Early Years Inspector which has deepened her knowledge and understanding of best practice in early years. Rachel is extremely passionate about providing exceptionally high standards and successful outcomes for children in early years education, creating an environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential.
