I was asked to pick up my nephew from nursery last week. I was pleasantly surprised with the level of attention from two of the staff members. I had never met them before but they were both so well informed on my nephew's activities in the day and what he had and hadn't eaten. My partner is currently
pregnant and without a doubt we will be looking for our child to attend the nursery.

The general feel of the place was welcoming, clean and tidy, recently redecorated. 10/10

My son loves going to this nursery. The staff are all friendly and make him feel special. He can be a little handful at times but the staff are incredible with him and have patience of saints! Their calm manner and friendly, smiley faces help him to settle back into the activities. He speaks very highly
of his key worker, often talking about her at home. He has great relationships with everyone including the management team who are often spending times in the rooms with the children. My wife and I love the nursery and wouldn’t dream of sending him anywhere else.

My daughter has been attending Clarence House for over two years now and she absolutely loves it. The nursery is one of the smaller ones in Cambridge, but because of that has a lovely, homely and friendly feel to it and the staff know all the children by name. Both the manager and deputy manager are
so helpful and organised and have gone well out of their way to help us out if we have needed to change days in nursery etc. My daughter is now in the preschool section and her key worker is brilliant; so warm, engaging and full of enthusiasm for learning. There is always a range of learning activities every day, but the emphasis is always on fun, which lays an excellent foundation for future learning. I feel that her needs are well met at this nursery and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others.

My son is going to the nursery, since he was one year old and we are really happy with everything so far. We are satisfied that he is in good hands.

My daughter has been at this nursery from the baby room and is currently in pre-school. When she was in the baby room, I use to pop in at random times to collect her and if she was upset the staff were always being attentive. I would go as far as to say it looked like an older sibling was giving her
a loving cuddle, not just staff dealing with a responsibility.
Now she's a pre-schooler and our personal circumstances have changed, we only need to put her in for three days a week, and for a short period while baby number two was very young we even pulled her out altogether. These changes were no problem for the nursery at all. A place was held for her to return and when we wanted to change the days around this was also accommodated.
I feel my daughter is loved by the staff. We could not have found a better Nursery to send our daughter too, she loves going, and when the time comes our son will go as well, double trouble, god help them.

The nursery is small and very personal. My two year old absolutely loves going to nursery. All members of staff know my children by name, not just their key workers.

Both my four-year-old and my one-year-old go to this nursery.
The Preschool teacher is brilliant. She has been caring and attentive to my child all year helping him to explore his own interests. In the past few months, she has been gradually preparing him for school with lots of play activities, learning
numbers and phonics and even getting changed for PE.
The baby room is small and loving with a maximum of 10 babies. They have their own garden and join in with the older children for some outdoor activities.
The children interact well with each other and it's very clear that this nursery is a loving and caring environment for kids to grow and build their confidence.

My daughter is loving being at Clarence House, she comes home telling me so many stories of the adventures she has there. They provide great programmes for the children to join in with including monkeynastixs that’s her favourite!

Staff have been very helpful. Their feedback helps us care for our baby better. Staff are well trained and I could leave my baby in their care, trusting them without any worries.

My son (2 years old) has been at the nursery for several months now. The ladies are all so lovely and welcoming and he's had plenty of time to settle in. The nursery have been incredibly accommodating around my changing work pattern, it seems like nothing is too much to ask.

My son has progressed

so much in his short time there. He's blowing me away with new words, sentences and songs every day. He naturally says please and thank you without prompt now too which is lovely!

The activities they do throughout the day seem to be engaging and stimulating. The handovers at the end of the day are thorough and personal and I never feel afraid to question anything. I am updated a couple of times a week on the app with photos and details of activities which as a first time mum is very reassuring and nice to see.

All together I would recommend this nursery to anyone looking for a place for their child. It's a small family environment that encourages happiness, courtesy and creativity.

Clarence House have been a very caring and accommodating nursery for our son. He settled into the nursery routine very quickly, and we were always kept informed about his progress and activities day to day. On several occasions, we have had to arrange extra days at short notice, and the nursery have
always been able to fit those days into the schedule, which has been enormously helpful for us. Our son now really enjoys going to nursery and we have been recommending it to all our friends.

Excellent, caring space and people to entrust your little one to. My daughter (now 15 months) has been there for around 5 months. Settling in was a positive experience, the staff are knowledgeable, and the space, especially outdoors, is great. You receive daily updates on your baby's activities as well
as an online development log with photos. Highly recommend.

Our son's time at Clarence House, Cambridge has turned out very well. We were worried at first because it is not large, but now we see that as an advantage. Everyone is friendly and all the carers know all the children. We are really happy and above all our son loves his time there.

We really like this nursery.
Our son is 12months old and has been attending the nursery for 4 months. He settled instantly, feeling very much at home.
Being a fairly small nursery, all the staff knows all the children and care about them. The atmosphere is nice and friendly.
Carers talk to you at
the end of each day and hand over notes on what he has been up to: activities, food, drink, nappies, sleep.
They also use an online system when they post pictures and notes about activities from time to time.
He sleeps and eats well while there and loves spending time in the garden.

My children love this nursery, I feel so happy when I have gone to work that my children are in safe caring hands. Everyone makes you feel so welcome it's like home to home for my kids. This nursery has worked around me and my children's needs so well. My kids have never cried when I have left them
and sometimes I struggle to get them to come away! All the staff stay the same and my kids know all the girl's names. I would recommend this nursery to anyone that wants to feel happy and safe. My kids learn so much from the activities and staff I am so proud when they come home singing and counting! There is always a theme on and something new my kids have learnt. I also get a review every day of what my kids have done, how much they have eaten. I also have an app so I get photos of what they have been doing and a log of comments to the photo. Couldn't ask for more ladies, you do a great job and my kids love you all very much! Thank you!

Our son has really felt at home in this nursery. All the staff have been caring and sustained good communication with the children. Always good feedback from the day at every pickup. After repeated incidents with another child, the staff acted very professional and solved the situation.

I would highly recommend the nursery to others as since my little girl started have been amazing with settling her into the nursery and meeting her dietary needs. The staff made us feel welcome in the morning with big smiles and actually made me feel safe and able to leave her at the nursery.

My second son has recently started at Clarence House and he was diagnosed with autism, the staff are great and helped him so much. I can see a huge difference already in such a small space of time. His development is delayed and they use visual aids, targets and have given us as a family huge support. The
management attend meetings with us and other agencies to provide the best care for him.

My daughter attends Clarence House Nursery and loves it there, the staff are great and always on hand to help, they do great activities and I get to see pictures throughout the week on tapestry online. The management has changed this year and a lot of improvements have been made to the facilities and
a lovely garden space, we get frequent reports and parents evenings too would highly recommend it.

Current Review Score: 8.1 (8.091)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.1 (8.091) out of 10 for Clarence House Cambridge is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 1 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.1 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 5.000 for Clarence House Cambridge is calculated as follows: ( (12 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 12 Ratings = 5

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.091 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Clarence House Cambridge is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 = 3

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 55 number of registered child places is 11. 1 Positive Reviews ÷ 11 = 0.091

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
