Friendly staff and management whom do a great effort of taking care of the children. There is a nice atmosphere at the nursery and the staff does many activities with the children. The outside space is not the biggest, but it is enough to give the children space to play and do garden activities.

Our boy loves coming to Clarence House, he's always beaming when we pick him up. He particularly loves the garden, he thinks it's fantastic they spend as much time outside as possible. The staff clearly enjoy his company.

Over the few years my child has been coming to Clarence House I've been watching my child's development and its been amazing, the teachers are all about the children and are really supportive in helping you to achieve your child's goals to get them ready for school.

My son (28 months) has been attending Clarence House since he was nine months, and has found a place that he is unturned and safe. He has found the drop off difficult and his key worker has worked with him and us to help make this part of his day better for him. He has now developed a good bond with
one worker which has really helped him feel at home and safe. The staff go out of their way to understand him better and to meet his needs best they can.

Clarence House Cambridge is fab. My daughter has settled in brilliantly and we are very happy with the set up. The team are so lovely and really focused on our daughters well-being. I don't worry at all about my daughter when I leave her at nursery.

My daughter has attended this nursery for over 3 years. My daughter loves going to nursery and always has. The staff team have been fairly consistent now for a while and the new management brought in since the start of the year has improved the nursery massively. The nursery has a homely and nurturing
feel. Staff know the children well and we always get oral feedback at the end of the day. Communication generally has improved a lot and we have opportunities to have more formal 'parents meetings' to discuss progress and any concerns. The nursery has been very flexible in meeting our needs as busy parents, swapping or adding days at short notice. My daughter also raves about the food! The garden was greatly improved not too long ago and new toys were purchased. I love getting the Tapestry notifications and they're a great discussion point at home. I would definitely recommend this nursery if you want a homely and nurturing setting for your child.

Our daughter loves Clarence House. For us, it has the ideal number of children and the right rate of carers/baby. The manager is really nice and attentive as are the two main carers. I really like that the babies have a dark, separate room for their naps. Our baby always had issues sleeping outside
the house, but in a quite place, she is absolutely fine. I can tell the staff really like her and for me, this is essential.

My son is always happy to go to nursery and I feel he's very well looked after in a stimulating environment. The nursery are good at taking regular interesting/informative observations on my son's progress and sending them to me via their online system, Tapestry. They've also been incredibly accommodating
when I've needed to request extra days. Overall a great nursery with fantastic staff.

Our son has been attending Clarence House since he was 13 months.
Telephone communication with the nursery has been very efficient, both for administrative purposes and for more personal issues such as whether or not he is still asleep at close to pick up time.
Face-to-face communication is also
excellent: staff are quick to ask about him and give feedback about how his time with them has been.
Settling in time was arranged flexibly so that staff could gauge how ready he was to be left with them. During this time, his key-worker was with him as much as possible to help him associate with a 'go-to' person.
I have always found him quick to want to engage with the staff and activities at the nursery - a credit to the welcoming atmosphere created by the team.
The staff are confident in their roles and always seem to be in and amongst the children. They also take note of each child's individual needs; this is one of the reasons I felt most happy to leave our child in their care.

I love this place! Was warned against putting my son in here a year ago but it was the only nursery we looked around that he was happy enough to go off an play on his own and he had the hours we wanted. Admittedly there were a number of administration issues when he started but he was always happy so
took it on the chin. This place is even better since the new management has arrived and my son is absolutely thriving. The staff are really happy and friendly and they always find time for you and the kids. They have been full of support for the whole family recently and I can't wait for my other son to start next month!

Fantastic nursery for our twins.

Our ex-preemie twins started at Clarence House in February 2016. The staff are super-friendly and caring, the new manager is working very hard to modernise the facilities. I get an oral report at the end of each day so we know what the twins have been up to. Our

boys have ongoing health issues due to their prematurity. Staff are putting in a lot of effort to help manage those, management are also offering to train their staff with regards to individual speech therapy plans. As for their cognitive development, our boys' needs as ex-preemies are also taken into account, they moved up to the 2 year old's group a bit earlier which is doing them a world of good, and their special dietary needs are well looked after. Food is actually really lovely, it's all freshly cooked and there's a lot of choice.

Overall, this Clarence House offers great value for money, and I'm glad my children are very happy there.

Friendly and helpful Staff. Convenient location of the nursery. My son who is 3.5 year old and has been in this nursery for 1 year, loves to be there. He is learning quickly and his keyworker is helping him to get ready for formal education in September 2016.

Very friendly nursery with relaxed atmosphere and a lovely outdoor play area that the children are encouraged to use at any time. Our girl is very happy there; she has formed good bonds with staff and children.

Since starting nursery in January this year my son who has just turned a year old has developed a lovely bond with the staff and he is very excited when we arrive at nursery and wants to play straight away. I was very anxious about returning to work and leaving him but the staff were so good with the
settling in process it made it so much easier for the both of us when the time came. We always have a chat at the start and end of the day about what he has been up to and he has a diary which is filled out daily so I know what he has done and what he has eaten etc. There is a lovely garden which they are playing out in more now that the nicer weather is here and you can tell all the children enjoy it and today they took him out for a walk by the river. I'm so pleased I chose this nursery for him.

Current Review Score: 8.1 (8.091)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.1 (8.091) out of 10 for Clarence House Cambridge is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 1 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.1 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 5.000 for Clarence House Cambridge is calculated as follows: ( (12 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 12 Ratings = 5

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.091 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Clarence House Cambridge is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 = 3

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 55 number of registered child places is 11. 1 Positive Reviews ÷ 11 = 0.091

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
