Blackberry House Day Nursery is the leading nursery provider for children from 0-5 years in Wisbech, March and Peterborough.

Blackberries offer tailored learning activities and experiences to meet each child’s developing interests and skills.

The nursery provides safe spaces for each age group to ensure these opportunities are appropriate to age and development level but allows time for children to interact with older and younger children allowing them to learn from each other.

Babies—Babies receive gentle, sensitive care as they take their first steps in learning. The baby units offer bright happy day rooms designed to support every baby's inbuilt curiosity and desire to make sense of the world around them with wonderful equipment providing a range of sensory and exploratory toys.

Toddlers - The Toddler units are bright and spacious, created to encourage busy learners to discover that learning is interesting and fun. The skilful practitioners engage affectionately with the children supporting and encouraging all children to reach their full potential through a play-based curriculum.

Pre-school — Children continue to learn through play environments, again with activities tailored to meet their interests and needs whilst offering children an outstanding play-based curriculum, which meets all the requirements of the Early Years Foundation stage, supporting all aspects of their learning and development.

Free Government Nursery Educational Funding is available for 2–4-year-olds and Blackberries offer up to 30 hours per week.

Nourishing the nation's next generation is part of the ethos at Blackberries and with the nursery's food partnership with Apetito, delicious meals are provided which littles one’s love. Everything is satisfactory. The only thing not satisfactory is why if we pay for a full month and the child is sick and does not visit the nursery, why is the payment not transferred to another month?

Thank you for your feedback! Regarding the payment policy, we understand that it can be frustrating when a child is unable to attend due to illness. However, illness is an unforeseen circumstance that cannot be planned for, and our staffing team still turn up to ensure we meet legal staff-to-child ratios and maintain the high standards of care we provide. Similar to when a family goes on holiday, contracted sessions must still be paid as you are securing your childs place at the nursery. That said, we do deduct additional costs, such as food, if notice is given in line with our holiday policy. If fees were adjusted for absences due to sickness or holidays, it could lead to financial instability, as there would be no way to verify such claims, potentially impacting the continuity of the nurserys operations. We truly appreciate your understanding and are always happy to discuss any concerns further. Please feel free to reach out to us directly.

This is an excellent nursery and the staff that work there are lovely. My children go to this nursery and have done for over a year now. My son's key workers always update us on their day and keep the parent application up to date. Throughout July I underwent major spinal surgery and the nursery staff
were super helpful and accommodating too. I would 100% recommend this nursery.

All the staff are welcoming and full of smiles in the morning which is lovely to see for both myself and my son. Drop off and pick up is made easy as the Nursery Practitioner always has high energy and makes it a positive experience. When collecting my son she is full of information about my sons day
and she ticks all the boxes in letting me know what I need to know. Also my son has such a positive experience with another Nursery Practitioner and always has smiles when she is about. I feel very confident and comfortable leaving my son in the baby room with these two. Overall the nursery is easy to access, clean and all the stuff show they go above and beyond for the children that attend. I would definitely recommend Blackberries (March) to my friends. What a fantastic team!

Amazing nursery! My child has attended for nearly two years, the change in her, her development and her speech was incredible. 100% care, attention, encouragement and kindness provided by the staff. My daughter is always happy to see all of the staff, has made a group of friends who she talks about
and what activities they have done, always happy and positive to go straight into nursery. This has been the best experience for my child.

Our daughter loves going to Blackberry House Day Nursery. She attends two days a week and is very settled, since attending she has developed in so many ways. All the staff do a fantastic job! They are very friendly and polite, our little one comes home so happy. The ladies are very supportive and nurturing

Lovely staff that make this a very fun vibrant learning environment. The large garden is perfect for little ones and has lots of outside imaginative play areas with a castle, veg patch and Wendy house.
The 8-6 opening hours cover my working day and my little boy loves coming here!

Perfect nursery for my son! The staff are warm, inviting and have been absolutely fantastic with both me and my son when either of us has had a wobble! The manager and another member of staff, in particular, feel like part of the family now and are regularly brought up around the dinner table! During
this strange and scary pandemic, the staff have kept us up to date on any information that is needed, the cleanliness and methods put into place to keep everyone, especially our children, is impeccable. I honestly couldn’t ask for a better nursery!

We are so delighted to be able to keep sending our daughter to Blackberry House through these difficult times. Her language development and confidence with new people and other children have blossomed in the 5 months she has been attending. We love hearing all the songs she learns and stories they read
to the children every day are so grateful to the staff for their dedication to early years education through some very trying times. They understand how vital these early experiences are for young children and are making it as safe as possible to continue working with our children. We have also been impressed with how much our daughter has improved her independence - she can put her own coat on, wash her own hands, sort out her shoes and socks and more! Thank you Blackberry staff!
