Spring Nursery – Wyton is a 78 place purpose-built setting offering full and part-time childcare for children aged 3months – 5years. The nursery is situated in a quiet residential area within the village of Wyton on the Hill, Cambridgeshire and serves the local community as well as Military Personnel. Staff at the nursery encourage all children to reach their full individual potential.

The staff take time to get to know the parents and the children ensuring their individual care and needs are met. The purpose-built childcare facility is all at ground level with disabled access into, and around the building.

There is a large fully enclosed garden giving the nursery their own outdoor space used extensively to explore the outside environment. The rooms are set out to encourage self-reliance with equipment easily accessible for all ages. An on-site kitchen provides home cooked meals and snacks for the children, catering for allergies, food intolerances and the weaning process for young children. Spring Nursery has 3 rooms: Baby Room, Toddler Room, and Preschool Room.

They offer funded places for 2, 3 and 4-year-olds between 15 and 30 hours. The nursery is open 51 weeks a year, closing only Christmas week and on Bank holidays.

Choosing a nursery is a difficult thing - you want your child to have the best and know they are well looked after. Spring Nursery RAF Wyton does exactly that!
I don't have to worry when I drop my daughter off at the door. The staff are welcoming and friendly, and my daughter comes away happy. She
had developed and changed since attending, even in such a short space of time.
The app the nursery uses is great. We get to know what she eats, how much she has eaten, when she sleeps, etc, and photos of her doing activities (with our consent, of course).
Cannot recommend this nursery enough.

Our daughter loves it at her 'preschool' (what she calls her room at Spring Wyton). The staff are excellent, and she regularly tells us how much she likes it, unprompted. She is a tempestuous and opinionated little girl, but they have already brought out the best in her when it comes to eating, napping
(and dropping of that) and toileting (she is potty trained). They are also very good at keeping us updated as parents and letting us know how her day has been.

We are both very happy that our daughter goes to this nursery. She loved the baby room and has now progressed to the navigators. We love the support, the updates and the variety of activities. We also feel our daughter is well supported emotionally when she needs it.

Myself and my husband are really impressed with the support we get from the staff. In two months of joining the nursery, we have noticed such a change in our daughter's progress and wellbeing. Her motor skills and communications skills have really come on. We also enjoy her progress update photos and
reports. We have recommended this nursery to a couple of our friends, and our future child we being going to Spring Nursery. The variation in activities is amazing.

Highly recommend this nursery. My little boy absolutely loves going each day and enjoys telling me all about it. The staff are lovely and cannot do enough for you. My eldest also attended this nursery prior to moving up to primary school.

Our son attended Spring Nursery for just over a year when we moved to the area, and he really enjoyed it. It is a warm, welcoming and caring atmosphere and the staff really know all of the children they look after and inspire. It is a bright, clean and spacious environment with professional staff and
plenty for the children to enjoy in terms of activities and toys to play with. There is also a huge garden which they all enjoy letting off steam in. Our son started learning to write as well as enjoying some cookery lessons and fun activities whilst he was here. I felt very comfortable in the knowledge that he was treated as an individual, as well as taught how to play and get along with others in a positive way. I will miss the adults who made his time there so meaningful and happy. Thank you for being the best place for our son to then move up to primary school confidently and sure of himself. I would highly recommend Spring Nursery to anyone in the area - so glad we chose it.

My daughter loves it at this nursery. All the ladies are very welcoming, friendly and lovely. They have been amazing when we found out our daughter was anaemic, they are very helpful and have been accommodating for her. A beautiful, welcoming nursery! They are wonderful to kids and their learning is brilliant, clean and tidy, the nursery staff is kind and they definitely look out for the children and the parents. They adore our children just like us parents. It is like dropping your kid to their grandparent's house,
it is so homely and fun.
The manager and deputy all update us of everything and they are always willing to talk to parents if they have any issues or for the parent's wellbeing.
The cheapest nursery around.

A wonderful nursery, my daughter thoroughly enjoys the days she attends and has come out of her shell so much since she first started. All of the staff are fantastic, the food menu is wonderful, and I’m often jealous when I smell what they had when collecting. The nursery often put on events that parents
can attend, and it’s great to see the children enjoying themselves. The garden is an incredible space with lots of different areas for the children to play.
I and my daughter feel like part of the nursery family, and I feel incredibly lucky to have found such a safe, fun and loving childcare setting for my children to attend.

I and my husband were recommended Spring Nursery at Wyton and have been so happy with the care and attention they have given our daughter. She started in the baby room and has now moved up to the toddler room. We’ve had some tricky drop-offs at the beginning and care and attention has always been
so lovely and caring and put my mind at rest. My daughter is now 2.5 and when I pick her up she is always buzzing from her day and chats about what she has been doing. Everyone is so lovely and all the little things that are done for her mean a lot including all the lovely cards she has made and even her hair being done beautifully. I definitely think she has learnt a lot from attending and definitely aided her development would highly recommend all the staff are so lovely and caring.

A fantastic nursery that has been amazing for my son. His development over the last year has been incredible and it has been lovely to watch him grow into a confident little boy.

My daughter has been attending here for nearly two years. It's been great to see her grow in this time. She always comes home with a smile on her face and with the exception of the first couple of weeks, she has always seemed to look forward to going to nursery each day. I don't know how they do it,
but the staff are always friendly, informative and in good spirits. I couldn't recommend this nursery more.

My now seven and six year old attended Spring and now my three-year-old has been going for a good few months and I cannot recommend it enough. The nursery itself has so much to offer the children and keep them busy during their sessions and a fab outside area to play in too! My six-year-old had SEN
too and they were great with helping with any needs of hers. The ladies there are so friendly too and my three have just loved them all.

Really glad we're made the decision to send our boy here. The staff are extremely welcoming and have developed a really good relationship with him.
He started as a 3.5-year-old and had previously been at a different playschool. He has thrived in the bright, stimulating and engaging environment, and
his skills have come on in leaps and bounds.
He genuinely enjoys going every day and is being really well set up for primary school.
The staff go above and beyond for the children, recently organising a day to inflatable-bounce. They give the children a wide range of types of homemade prepared food, and he has developed a number of new foods he loves. Thoroughly recommend Spring Nursery.

What a fabulous nursery!

Can’t recommend Spring Nursery highly enough. The nursery has been through a few changes in the two years our son has attended, which shows that they respond to feedback and are constantly trying to improve on the service they deliver. Staff are all very helpful and great with the children. App allows
for instant notification about all things related to nursery, upcoming events, payments and child- which is an easy way to communicate and pass on messages. Really excellent and very sad to be leaving soon!

Hello, my name is Nicola.


I have been working in childcare since 2005 and I started in a nursery as a practitioner after having completed my BTEC National Diploma in Early Years. Whilst working, I continued my learning and development and undertook a BA in Early Childhood Studies. I then went on to complete Early Years Professional Status. I have worked my way up to a manager over the years, whilst taking some time out to have my children.


I enjoy playing music, having learnt Violin and Piano at school. I also enjoy going to National Trust Parks with my children at the weekend and watching them explore.
