Happy Bunnies Nursery School Shepreth is proud to offer a holistic, child-centred approach to learning.

The pedagogy revolves around prioritising play, exploration, and hands-on experiences to foster creativity, critical thinking, and social-emotional development. They strongly believe in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that nurtures a love for learning, promotes multicultural awareness, and encourages individualised learning.

The team integrates various educational philosophies, including Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf, to provide a comprehensive learning experience for students. The aim is to develop essential life skills while promoting a sense of community and cultural diversity.

In addition to the core curriculum, the nursery school also offers various extracurricular activities such as sports coaching, French classes, Makaton sessions, wildlife park visits, and Train Trips. Funding & Fees Guide for Happy Bunnies Nursery School

  • Funded sessions are calculated by age group and will be introduced per Government plans. All
    children can currently access 15 hours of supported childcare, which can be used over 38 weeks
    of the year during school term time. From September 2025, Government plans change; further
    information can be found on the Childcare Choices website.
    Starting from September 2024:
    Children will be eligible for 15 hours of support, Sessions for funded hours are, 2 x 7.5 hrs days
    (0830 –1600). Monday- Friday. The funded hours can be topped up with additional paid access
    subject to application and availability.
    Where funded hours are used exclusively, a daily charge applies for consumables. In addition, if
    access is required for breakfast and tea clubs, as they are not included in Government-supported
    childcare options, charges are also applied. These are all subject applications and availability.
    Current charges are:
    Consumables £5:80 per day
    Optional charges
    Breakfast club (Access from 08:00-08:30) £8:50 per day
    Tea club (Access from 16:00-17:00) £10.60 per day
    Support options for additional days via Self-funded access:
    Where full-time all, year-round care is required, Government support hours can be allocated. over
    50 weeks, subject to application
    Children can access support from 0800-1700 Monday to Friday
    Charges applicable include a daily consumable cost, including the supply of nappies and access
    to Breakfast and Tea Club: Full-day session £106:30 per day
    Tax-free choices
    Parents who fund additional childcare support days may be able to access Tax-free childcare
    discounts, in addition to supported hours, options are detailed and available

We are extremely happy with Happy Bunnies nursery so far. Our son has settled in at the nursery amazingly and seems to be having a great time. The updates from the nursery are regular and you can really tell the Happy Bunnies team care about your child and their development. It's also reassuring to
see so many photos of your child smiling and engaging in different activities when they're at nursery at the end of the week. It really does make the transition back to work much easier to know your child is having a great day during working hours. The team are friendly and our son has taken to them all very quickly. We'd definitely recommend this nursery!

What a lovely nursery. I immediately felt welcomed into the warm and friendly space, the atmosphere is warm, safe and inviting. I'm very impressed with the caring and kindly staff who clearly love the children. A great range of activities which are both educational and fun. I love the fact that there
are plenty of outdoor visits to the wildlife park. My grandson has settled in extremely well and very quickly, he is very happy there.
I have been a teacher for 40 years and it is rare to find such a delightful environment. I could not have wished for a better nursery. Excellent.

The first plus you deal with is a large parking behind the club, there is also a large green playground and zoo 100 meters away. Not many kindergartens have that. The facility inside has many toys and different sections for kids not to get bored.

Were really glad you noticed the parking and surrounding amenities the large car park behind the club makes drop-off and pick-up much easier for families, and its something we know isnt always available at other settings.The green playground and nearby zoo just 100 meters away are two of our favourite features too! They give us amazing opportunities to extend childrens learning outdoors, helping them connect with nature, animals, and the changing seasons all of which are so important for young childrens development and curiosity.Inside, weve worked hard to create a warm, engaging environment with a wide variety of toys and learning areas. Our goal is to make sure children always feel inspired, supported, and excited to explore. We regularly rotate resources and set up new invitations to play so no two days feel the same.Thank you again for your kind words were always happy to hear that families see the value in what we offer.

Our child started at this nursery last month aged 9 months. The staff have been brilliant in helping him settle in. Seeing the progress in his development since starting has been staggering, especially in reference to his eating. The app is really good to get regular updates as well as a weekly update
too. We're so happy we found this nursery.

Our child started at this nursery last month and they have gone above and beyond to help him to settle in. They have been supportive of both our child's needs as well as our own. It is clear from how our child behaves at drop off/pick up and from photo updates how safe and cared for he feels. I genuinely
feel all the staff love what they do and would go above and beyond for our child. They go outside on walks/to see the trains/to the wildlife park every day and are always supporting my child's curiosity through messy play/baking/activities with light etc. The Manager clearly keeps well up to date with current evidence surrounding early years development/education/funding. We are so glad we found this nursery.

My son, Max, recently started at Happy Bunnies and I couldn't be happier with the experience so far. From day one, the staff have been incredibly friendly, supportive and kind, which has made such a difference in helping him settle in.
The team here have truly helped with my son's development, and
it's been wonderful to see how much he's growing and thriving in such a nurturing environment. He absolutely loves it and can't wait to get to nursery every day-it's so reassuring to know he's excited and happy to go.
They constantly seem to be out in the village exploring and learning, it's heart warming to get the updates on the app.


I can't recommend Happy Bunnies enough for any parent looking for a place where their child will be cared for, encouraged and supported every step of the way.

My daughter started at Happy Bunnies in September at nine months old and we are so pleased at how well she has been looked after and how wonderful the team are. She is already progressing so well since starting nursery with her eating, actions and social interactions and I like getting the daily updates
and weekly summary of what she has been up to via the app. The team were very patient with her during her first few weeks as she got used to everything, but now she loves going to nursery and practically jumps out of our arms at drop-off in the mornings!

My son has been there for 3 months and overall it's been a great experience! The manager is very approachable and informative, there's good communication between the nursery and the parents via the app. My very clingy 1 year old has settled in really nicely, and now loves going to nursery and seeing
two members of staff in particular. He seems to have a great relationship with the staff which is lovely to see. All the staff are so friendly. There is only 1 negative of having no dedicated outside space. They make up for this by taking the children out for walks to see the trains, horses, puddle jumping, catching bubbles in the park, soft play and the wildlife park to see the animals. I actually personally prefer this as it's more varied than having a small outdoor area. Well done Happy Bunnies!

Our daughter started Happy Bunnies in September, just before she turned 3. I was naturally worried about her first time in a nursery setting but the staff were very supportive and she has settled in really well. We receive great updates via the app on what she has been up to, with insights into her
learning skills, interactions with peers and observations of little moments. The children have frequent trips around the village, walking through wooded areas, train spotting and visiting the Wildlife Park. All the staff have been really friendly. I'd definitely recommend Happy Bunnies.

My child has been attending Happy Bunnies for the past 2 months and we are so happy with the nursery. Every day my son is eager to get in and see his friends and returns home telling us stories of the fun activities he's been up to.
The staff are exceptional, each so passionate about the children and
make each day enjoyable and educational. The children get to do so many fun things including French lessons, football coaching and regular visits to the wildlife park.

I have 2 children at Happy Bunnies, one that started in April and one in September.
I couldn't recommend this nursery enough, the manager and the staff are fantastic and our children couldn't be happier.
We have tried other settings and Happy Bunnies is head and shoulders above the rest.

My daughter has been attending Happy Bunnies since the start of the year. I just wanted to say how impressed I have been with the staff and the support they have provided my family. My daughter has some complicated health issues and the whole team have been so supportive and adaptable in ensuring that

When I became the owner of Happy Bunnies Nursery School, I didn’t just inherit a setting. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, Froebelian wisdom, and a neurodivergent lens shaped by my own lived experience, I lead with heart, theory, and a profound respect for each child’s way of being.
