The Brampton Day Nursery is located on the High Street in the picturesque village of Brampton.

It provides high-quality childcare in a welcoming, stimulating and caring environment.

The nursery building provides a home from home ethos and each light and airy room is equipped with natural furnishings to a very high specification for the individual age groups they provide for.

It supports children’s interests using the Early Years Foundation Stage and Schematic Play and underpins all care and learning using the Characteristics of Effective Learning.

Staff place high importance on open-ended, heuristic resources and each room is equipped to reflect this; they pride themselves on a child centred and creative curriculum.

At The Brampton Day Nursery, staff are extremely passionate about outdoor learning and endeavour to spend a large part of the day outside; this may be in the impressive nursery garden, where they use "forest school principles" or on a walk in the local area.

My son has attended the nursery since he was 6 months and I have found the nursery to be outstanding. The baby room is managed by a mature and highly experienced room leader, who ensures that they are cared for thoroughly, either sticking with a routine that you want or helping you get them into one.
They help fully with the transition from milk to food. The children are taken out daily for walks and the garden area is complete with Forrest school, huge sand pit and mud kitchen. A wide range of activities are available inside also with regular parents evenings. The management are very hands on and approachable. My son has now moved to 2-3s room which offers multiple activities which are always imaginative and creative, the staff are amazing and give you excellent feedback on a daily basis.

Overall excellent nursery - The warmth and experience of the staff make the place. The only negative comment I have is that there shouldn't be an extra charge for dropping off before 0800.

The Brampton Day Nursery was my first choice in the Huntingdonshire area. The welcoming atmosphere and clean and safe interior set The Brampton Day Nursery head and shoulders above the local competition.

We are very pleased with this professionally run nursery. Our child is always welcomed by name when they arrive each morning. The outdoor space is interesting and has various zones to provide a range of outdoor play activities. The food is good, which goes down well with our little boy after rushing
around outside. The tone of the staff handover at the end of each day is always positive. The children are gently guided towards behaving well and therefore the atmosphere is welcoming and safe. The turnover of staff has been a concern of ours in the past. But the staff have always been excellent. Also, this seems to have settled down in recent months and the nursery has got better in communicating staff changes. The owners have clearly invested in the facilities in the last few years and the children have gained more space to play indoors due to this. We chose this nursery for the 'Forest school' approach and we are very happy with the caring and personal service they provide.

Thank you for your honest comments. Establishing the right staff team to offer the child-led approach to learning and development we aim to provide has meant that there have been more staff changes than we would have wished for. Happily, we now have the correct people in place, which is evident from the stability the staff team now enjoys.

This nursery is brilliant for my son - he absolutely loves his time there and they have a wonderful ethos and facilities. I particularly like their approach to discipline with talking through difficult emotions and sensory supervised timeouts to help the kids chill out and understand their own behaviour.
The amount of time they get to spend outside is also great.
