Stars Pre-School Dogsthorpe is open 08:30-15:30 Monday to Friday (term time only).

The nursery offers a 10 per cent discount for siblings and provides government-funded sessions from 9 months old through to 4 year olds.

Stars Pre-School Dogsthorpe has a nature garden where the children can grow vegetables and herbs, go for bug hunts, create pretend campfires and mix different materials such as mud, sand and bark in the mud kitchen.

Each child has a key person they will build a strong relationship with the child, parents and families from enrolment through to the transition to school. The key worker will also offer individual observation, planning and assessment in line with the early years foundation stage curriculum (EYFS).

Parents will need to supply children with a packed lunch, however, snacks are provided in the mornings and afternoons.

We are beyond grateful for this nursery! It's truly heartbreaking that we have to change nurseries due to our move to a new area. I am a mother of a wonderful little boy, and I was quite anxious about sending him to nursery when he wasn't even two years old yet. However, these amazing teachers took
such great care of him.
I could see how my child was growing, how excited he was to go to nursery every morning, and how warmly he was welcomed by the teachers. I cannot express enough gratitude to them and the entire team for being there during the first years of my son's life. They taught him, sang with him, played, and comforted him when needed. They created an environment where he felt safe, happy, and loved.
A huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to the whole team - you are truly the best!

My daughter started at Dogsthorpe preschool and has been the best experience for her and us who was very clingy at first and struggled. But now she has shown so much improvement that has started walking, talking lots and singing all day long and shows she loves all the staff by running to them. She
loves going in and never wants to leave and just seeing that little smile makes us so proud of all the staff. Thank you to all the staff and chose the best setting for her.

This year will be my daughter's last year at the nursery because she's going to school this September. I just want to say thank you to all the staff who've been looking after my daughter since she started nursery specifically for my daughter's key worker. She's a nice lady, really cares about her and
is really supportive of us and she's looking after her like her own kid. A big massive thank you to all of you from the bottom of my heart.

Cannot thank all the staff at Stars Pre-School Dogsthorpe enough! My little girl started in the newly opened baby room at 10 months old - I was nervous to leave her with her being so young, however, she has settled very well and will hold her hands out to staff to be taken to play! I'm sent photos daily
updating me on what she's doing and we can already see an improvement in her development since she's started here!
Choosing Stars Dogsthorpe has been one of the best decisions I have made & the staff are all so friendly and welcoming!

Very pleased to have placed my daughter at this nursery. My son attended a few years back and he had the best experience and outcome possible to interact with others and experience other surroundings. I wanted my daughter to have the same experience and since she started she has enjoyed it and also
feel that staff are very welcoming and friendly towards her or any other child in the setting. Very pleased and feel that my child is safe and happy.

The members of staff are amazing here, my children love attending they have made some lovely bonds with the staff and children, especially my son, he started in September and found it difficult and his bond with one of the girls is amazing, they always give you feedback and warm welcomes, I couldn't

Amazing, my little boy loves being at nursey and nursey have done everything to support him inside nursey and I couldn’t recommend enough and the manager is amazing and always there when you need to talk or have any worries, amazing staff and whole team.

Stars Preschool Dogsthorpe is a place suitable for every child. Very family and nice atmosphere, an individual approach to the child. Teachers are always available, they report every day about the child. Well-equipped rooms, children are not bored.

My daughter loves going to Stars. She had never been to any other childcare setting before this nursery so I was worried she wouldn’t settle well but the staff were great and so welcoming especially her key worker. I like that I get updates on her day and how she has been at the end of the session and
that the kids have access to both outside and inside play. The setting has really helped her social skills and are now helping with getting her ready for school.

The members of staff are great with my daughter, they always give a warm welcome and always give me feedback at the end of the session she is in for. They always keep the parents updated about events, such as upcoming pictures etc. The staff encourage my daughter to speak more and try new things. I
wouldn’t choose any other nursery.

I am the happiest on earth that I chose this nursery for my kids, they absolutely love the place and all the staff are just so lovely, so caring, I haven't seen so caring staff anywhere else. Both my kids settled in really quick there as there is a so loving atmosphere every day, I can see huge changes
in my kids and it melts my heart and is all because of amazing staff.

Dogsthorpe Stars Pre-School is just amazing. The staff are very friendly and supportive. I love how informative they are about my girl every day. My daughter is very close with her key person. As she is a quiet and shy little girl, her key person has been amazing at making a bond with her. Also, I love
to see how many new things she is learning in the nursery, which will be a good help starting a big school in September. I am more than happy with Dogsthorpe Stars Pre-School. Big thank you to the staff.
