We ensure that they learn how to play and work with others, and understand each others feelings to encourage sharing. My daughter also attended the nursery
The staff are great! The love and care they have for all the children is amazing. All the staff make the parents feel at ease when leaving the children.
The garden area is great and its lovely to see all the children out exploring and running around.
Both children enjoy the food provided and never had any complaints.

They always tell me how the day went. The nursery uses a secure online facility for parents to log in and view videos and photos taken of your child during the day, especially when they meet a milestone. Meals are freshly cooked and prepared on site and ingredients are locally sourced. Although it's not a state of the art facility, there are plenty of toys and guided activities for them, and a great outdoor space for them to get out and muck around. To me, that's much more important than having the latest gadgets. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

We do appreciate everything you have said. We feel strongly that the best environment for our children is one where they are socialising with other children in a more natural environment. We feel that our wild areas - the meadow and the forest - together with our large grassed garden provide a fantastic space for the children to learn how to play with each other. This safe environment allows the children to learn how to share and comprise on many levels in a very safe space, preparing them for the real world outside. Skills learnt here form a strong foundation which will see them thrive in the adult world later in their lives.

We are pleased that you chose to send both your children to us. We make a point of organising settling in sessions before children start. This is especially important for young babies - 10 months. We need to ensure that they are happy to be left with us each morning, and won't compromise on this. We have a passion in looking after our children.
The recipes for our meals are very healthy. We spent a lot of time analysing the ingredients and worked closely with a consultant nutritionist to ensure that the children get balanced meals. Parents quite often want to know our recipes, as their children won't eat as well at home!

All our staff make a point of getting to know the whole family and are happy to discuss any matters with our parents. We feel that close partnership and good communication with parents is very important for our children's welfare. The outdoor space available for the children is amazing and a real asset. The staff are excellent, always welcoming and attentive - my daughter knows them well and is very happy attending. The nursery also provides updates via Tapestry which is a great record of your child’s progress and what they’ve been doing.

Although the outside exterior looks a little tired the resources inside and personal care are top rates with a very loving family environment that comes with a smaller childcare setting. They also have a great outside area that they put to full use throughout the year. The introduction of the tapestry system last year has been great to see photos and videos of our son enjoying the setting first hand.
I would not hesitate to recommend The Old Buttery, the fact my daughter can't wait to go back next week over half-term speaks volumes. It's definitely an added bonus they will take older siblings during some school holidays.

The staff are fabulous - I love them, and my boys clearly love them too.
I can see day by day how much my boys are learning. The nursery has a wide range of toys, and I see variety in the activities they carry out. They do messy play - brilliant, so I don't have to do it at home and spend a lot of time outdoors.
My children are exposed to a wide range of food at the nursery, and as a result, they eat really well. When we have had struggles with difficult eating, the nursery has persisted and I believe they help re-encourage the boys to try new things again.
Couldn't recommend more!
