This is such a fab nursery.
Two of my kids are here and are both happy. I particularly like the flexibility of the proprietor - always willing to fit things in where possible.
The staff here are all lovely. Everyone welcomes you with a smile and it makes a great difference.
I know my kids are safe
here and I have no issues with them here.
Only thing is that I wish I had discovered them much earlier, for my first daughter.

Fantastic nursery. Everybody is so friendly and helpful. Both of my daughters enjoy going there and that is a true reflection of the nursery. Lovely setting, very secure and easy to get to with plenty of parking spaces.

It is a welcoming and friendly place where children really are at the heart of everything that they do. The staff take a true interest in your child and provide care tailored to their needs. My child has been attending there for the last 2 years and I am extremely happy with his care and I am looking
forward to the next year and a half that he has left there.

Overall I'm pleased with the staff and how professional and friendly they are. Even though I did have an issue to whether they are properly staffed, this concern is due to my daughter having dislocated her elbow without any member of staff noticing.

Reply from Adele Moore, Manager at Parcs Nursery

We are really pleased that after your daughter had injured herself, we were able to work together to ensure an effective risk assessment was put into place, and you felt confident to continue to use the setting.

Great nursery, brilliant experience from day one. Very warm and welcoming staff who keep parents well informed of progress of child. Staff clearly love children and enjoy their jobs caring for children very well. Rooms are light and welcoming and changes made to the layout regularly to keep children
interested. Communication between staff and parents has always been great however, the nursery have recently started using online learning journeys which has increased communication and improve home/nursery sharing further.

All three of my children have attended this setting. The staff here have not only cared for my three children but guided and supported us as a family. They are friendly, professional and always very supportive. My older children who are now at school often still speak about their experiences at the
college nursery and enjoy going back to visit. I cant imagine having chosen another setting!

My son has been attending The College Nursery since he was 4 months old, due to both myself and his mother having to work. Putting our baby into nursery at such a young age was a very difficult decision. However, the nursery nurses at The College Nursery take such good care of our son, it made the transition
so much easier.
He was a very sicky baby and has health requirements, but they take care of his every need and put our minds at rest. He has developed wonderful bonds with the practitioners and his key person, it's clear to see that he loves attending nursery. They treat each child as an individual and it is very obvious that all the staff enjoy their jobs.
As parents we are invited into Nursery to join in with our sons learning, to parent consultations, to play in the room and to borrow toys and books from their library.

I cannot recommend this Nursery enough!

This is my second child attending this nursery. In my opinion, he is very good looked after. The college nursery staff care about his development and I can see him changing every day. The staff are always well prepared. They answer all my queries about my son and how his day been. Also, the nursery
manager and staff are very supportive in any way. To me is like my second family. My children were always happy at this nursery.
I recommend it to all my friends.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.469)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.469) out of 10 for Parcs Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.5 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.944 for Parcs Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (102 Excellents x 5) + (6 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 108 Ratings = 4.944

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.525 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Parcs Nursery is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 72 number of registered child places is 14.4. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 14.4 = 0.625

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
