Kindred Cambridge is located in the heart of Cambridge, its cosy and homely atmosphere ensures that children achieve the best possible start to life with resources and opportunities to allow them to develop and grow.

The dedicated staff team take time to get to know every child attending the nursery and interact with all children.

Every child has a passionate key person who will track your child's progress daily and feed back to you at the end of the busy day.

The under 2's rooms hold a maximum of 9 children in each room, this allows the children to develop and grow in a warm, cosy and spacious environment.

The baby room is located in a separate flat adjoining the nursery, which has a separate sleeping room for babies. The 2-3 year olds and pre-school share a large room with a wide range of resources and constant free flow to the well-equipped garden area.

The individual needs of each child at the nursery are met through a range of care, fun and learning and parents are regularly encouraged to become involved with nursery events and open nursery sessions.

The pre-school class visit the local residential home every week and play with their elderly friends there, this wonderful intergenerational interaction is great for their confidence and social and communication skills.

A parents evening is held twice a year and a monthly newsletter is sent to parents to allow them to keep up to date with the nursery’s most recent activities.

All staff are regularly DBS checked, paediatric first aid, safeguarding and food hygiene trained.

We had a fantastic experience at Kindred Cambridge. The staff was incredibly kind and supportive, creating a warm environment where our son felt happy and safe.
We especially loved the variety of activities that encouraged his curiosity and development. It was amazing to see how well he was cared for
and how much he enjoyed his time there. We also appreciated receiving daily updates with several photos, which made us feel connected to his experiences.
Even after moving away, he still talks about his friends, which speaks to the lasting impact they had on him. We would highly recommend Kindred Cambridge to any family!

We've been impressed so far by this nursery. The settling in sessions were very structured and there was a considered discussion with the room manager about our daughter's routine, likes and dislikes- it felt like the team really cared about our daughter's wellbeing and development.
The nursery have
been easy to communicate with via the (excellent) App- we receive lots of photos showing all the incredibly creative activities she does each day. There seems to be a really low staff turnover rate here compared to other places which I think has helped her form strong bonds with staff members. I would recommend this nursery to friends and family.

We have nothing but wonderful things to say about the staff and nursery, Kindred. Our son has grown up there and has enjoyed every one of the different rooms. Now he is in the "big boy room" and he learns so much every day. They do wonderful learning activities throughout the weeks around topics like
healthy eating, parts of the body, family, emotions, and so on. They also organise specialists to come in so the children can explore things like gymnastics and even different zoo animals. It really is a fantastic mix of learning and fun. Kindred gives you regular updates on your child's progress via their app, face-to-face daily, and at parents' evenings.
The team offer support with all sorts of things - potty training, picky eating, difficult behaviours and more. If I ever feel like I am at a loss I know I can speak with my son's key worker and she will offer suggestions and support. She is very knowledgeable and experienced and this shows in the care and support she gives my son and the family.

Our daughter started at Kindred in September last year. The settling in process was managed very carefully and our daughter settled in very well. She is almost 2, but despite being so young, constantly talks excitedly about her key person. She loves the nursery and we are consistently impressed by the
care of the staff, the attentive management, the facilities and activities, and the communication with parents. We would highly recommend Kindred Cambridge and our daughter is very happy there.

Kindred has been a wonderful part of our lives since our daughter started in Curiosity Crescent at 9 months (2 years ago). Since she has been there she has developed strong positive relationships with all the staff and she is happy to see them and all the different activities planned every day. We were
especially appreciative of all their help with caring for our daughter while she was temporarily in a cast, and the team was professional in following policies and meeting with us to complete a risk assessment, ensuring that it was still possible for our daughter to attend with some adjustments, and be cared for safely.
Communication from the team is very regular and clear, our daughter has personalised reports on her progress that are reassuring and helpful. The range of activities is endlessly varied and includes even going on outings to the playground and having visits from the gymnastic teacher and small animals which our daughter loved. Thank you to all the staff who made it happen.

All three of our children have been to Kindred (and Sunflower before it became Kindred). We have had a consistently good experience and would highly recommend it to others. We have built a strong relationship with the staff over the years, and the level of care and provision is highly satisfactory.
All of our children have enjoyed going to nursery.

My son and daughter both went to Kindred for their early years before school. The staff are amazing there and always organising fun activities, the kids love all of them, they also include all sorts of diversity from religions and cultures from all around the world.
My two kids have wonderful staff
that they made connections with, they always felt safe and cared for. And the food was brilliant!
I only scored the outdoor space a litter lower than everything else as it is on the small size, but it's got plenty to play with and their rotated activities enough to keep the kids entertained. The staff also take the older kids out to the playgrounds down the road, which also helps teach them about road safety all together as well.

I would highly recommend Kindred Nursery, the staff are lovely and they take great care of the children. It's a smaller space than some but they set up great activities every day suited to the children's interests and have themes and educational games and there are lots of new ways to explore and learn
every day. The security is great, the meals are great and snacks are healthy, and the food and nappies being included is so helpful.
If you need full-time care and long hours then this is a fantastic option. The communication is also great, and the app where you can see your child's progress, photos and even bowel movements is fab too.

We are really happy with Kindred Nursery and our nearly 3-year-old loves it. He has been going there full-time since he was 8 months old and pretty much runs in every morning! My child had been attending Kindred Cambridge since she was 8 months old. We were very happy with the care and attention she got while she was there. She was very happy to go there every day. The staff are very friendly and attentive. I liked the fact that the parents were informed about the progress
of the child both daily as well as with the monthly/yearly milestone reports. The opening times of the nursery are very suitable for working parents. Kindred is also open during the school holidays (like half terms, summer etc) which also helps working parents a lot.

This nursery is wonderful! My daughter started when she was 2 and she loved it from the moment she stepped foot inside the nursery, and so did I!
The staff are so friendly, welcoming and reassuring - they seem to have boundless energy even by evening pick-up time, I don't know how they do it!
I
love the updates they send during the day via the app, and how genuinely interested they are in the children's development. I love how they let the kids play outside in any weather and get messy and just generally have fun, but they are learning so much as well. They have lovely fresh food and healthy snacks. I really couldn't ask for more!

Both our children have been at Kindred Nursery, the eldest for almost three years and the youngest for eighteen months. They absolutely loved it and I thoroughly recommend the nursery. It is not large in terms of space or numbers so all the staff know all of the children. It is very caring place. They
really helped our children to flourish and kept us regularly updated through the app. The staff put on varied and interesting activities for the children and often weeks have their own theme. They help them to develop age appropriate skills and then prepare those going to school for the transition to primary school through having little PE lessons, show and tell and assemblies. We are so glad our children went here.

My child has been very happy in the nursery. I like the various activities and experiences and the friendly staff. Opening time is quite long (even 31st December) - which is very helpful. The app is also wonderful to know what children are doing in the nursery.

My daughter has been attending here for a couple of years now. She has absolutely thrived at this nursery! The staff are so friendly and lovely. They seem really well-versed in how to support child development. They know each child's personality and notice every change and development, always giving
personal attention to the children. They are great at managing the kids and keeping everyone safe and happy. They provide varied and developmentally useful activities to the children. There are new activities constantly, every season and every event is celebrated. The office staff are also great, friendly and on top of everything. My child's main carers are genuinely invested in her well-being and cheer her on in her little achievements. The kids seem to love the freshly cooked meals too. My daughter brings home menu suggestions from things she enjoys at nursery. Couldnt have asked for a better nursery!

My two-year-old started here in January and I can't recommend the nursery more! My son has always been a bit nervous around new people, however, the staff are so friendly and welcoming that it didn't take long for him to settle in. He always comes out of the nursery so happy, and I always get regular
updates on how he is going!

Our daughter started at Kindred Cambridge in Sep 2022 at the age of 3 years 3 months, having never been to any childcare setting before. She started on 2 half days per week, and in Jan 2023 increased to 3 half days. She took a few sessions to settle in, but we were given good advice by the staff about
how best to handle that, and in general were so happy and impressed with how kind, supportive and welcoming they all were. Every member of staff knew our daughter's name from day one, so no matter who opened the door on arrival, she always got the warmest welcome. The staff are absolutely professional and on top of everything and I've never had any doubt that our daughter is safe and well looked after, and that if she was ever upset, they wouldn't let that continue without letting us know. Our daughter quickly bonded with her keyworker and now loves her! The atmosphere in the room is warm and friendly and they care about getting to each individual child. They keep us very well informed. Very happy.

We've used the nursery for a few years now and it has been outstanding the whole time. The boys have really enjoyed attending and I feel comfortable leaving them knowing that they are very well cared for. All the staff are amazing and they communicate well, sharing lots of pictures of them having fun
and documenting their learning journey as well as showing an interest in what the children enjoy outside of the setting.

Such a lovely small but very personal place. My son who is 1 Year and 4 months started in January and so far he seems to be settling in very well thanks to the lovely care of the staff. He is very attached to me but after just several visits I feel confident leaving him in the nursery. What I really
love is the communication: through an app, I am sent regular updates on how my son is getting on, if he is sleeping, eating or playing with pictures as well at times. Really puts my mind at rest which is what every parent wants especially when starting at a new place. The staff is so lovely and always reply quickly. Every day kids seem to be busy with different things and there are always posts about Whats on for that day! So overall it is a lovely place for my little one.
